Le Greche

Tried out Le Greche while walking in the area. It’s around the corner from Dickie Dee Ice Cream. There’s multiple locations in Athens. 30 flavours (classics, gourmets, chocolates and sorbets). Sampled a couple before ordering. Some interesting flavours such as baklava, olive oil + sea salt and raffaelo. Scoops are 3,20€ (single), 5,90€ (double) or 7,90€ (triple). Surprised they offer gluten free cones (0,80€). Shared a 2 scoop; fig and forest fruits. Nice texture. Fig was well balanced, forest fruit was standard fare.

Delicious ice cream sandwiches. Fresh, authentic and unique flavours, made with natural and local ingredients. The decor of the store is more that of an old-fashioned patisserie, but the quality of the desserts on offer is very high-end!

I went here 3 times during my stay in Athens. I got pistachio at the suggestion of the young man working and loved it. I also got tiramisu it was FANTASTIC. I tried other in the area and not nearly as good. Got that combo all 3 times. It was delicious. Service was great as well. Friendly nice... and cute. 10/10 across the board. 😊😎

Elite gelato store in Athens. Always a queue - ingredients are all natural and no nasty stuff included. Even late at night there are loads of people hanging out - love it. Lemon mint sorbet and pistachio ice cream are stand outs in my opinion

I think this was a best gelato I’ve had for my Europe trip. Lots of unique flavours, especially the chocolates!! These days gelatos are bit too much for me and one scoop would be enough, but I could actually go for 2 scoops here :) Open till late so be perfect dessert for late night out. If you are for Greek’s signature yoghurt ice cream though, they don’t have it here unfortunately (I personally will take gelato at Le Greche over yoghurt ice cream any time)

This is the best gelato ice cream I have eaten outside of Italy! I had 2 scoops on a gluten-free cone: pavlova and minerva (chocolate with sea salt). I was asked if I had an allergy and after I said yes, they implemented a process to prevent cross-contamination by changing the spatula, not touching the cone with bare hands, and getting the ice cream from a different container. The gelato tasted so nice that I went back for an extra scoop (almond)! Highly recommended!

Incredible gelato with quick and nice service. Best we've had in Athens, nice flavors and not just sweet. Highly recommended!
