I received an orchid terrarium for my birthday. The instructions stated to place terrarium in full spectrum of light from multiple angles, not in front of window with blinds, plantation shutters, etc. I put it by a full door window with no blind, followed directions, and within 2 weeks, the plants were "mush" from too much moisture. Sent a picture to boutique, and was told it did not receive enough sunlight. Because there is a house next to us. My advice is, if you want to have one of their terrariums, you need a home with corner windows, no window treatments, on a large lot where no light is blocked. Not a practical thing in Atlanta. After I was told, they would do nothing to help, I removed the dead plants, and the soil was extremely wet, no way, even under their precise (unrealistic) expectations, could these plants survive. I think the soil was too moist to begin with, but, of course, nothing can be done. Beautiful shop, would suggest browsing, but do not buy!!
P.S. I have a large Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree that is thriving, these can be problematic, i have maintained for almost 3 years, so I know how to care for plants.
