Le Labo Will Release Its Entire ‘City Exclusives’ Collection Online

"New York-based perfumery Le Labo has mastered the art of marrying scents with place, particularly with its signature City Exclusives collection, which captures what it's like to experience 11 of our favorite cities—listening to jazz in Chicago, reading Anna Karenina in Moscow, or riding a bike through Amsterdam. The catch? Each City Exclusives scent is only available through Le Labo stores located in that specific city. If you were looking to get your hands on Le Labo's popular New York scent Tubereuse 40, you'll have to go to one of the brand's Manhattan or Brooklyn locations. And the only way to get a spritz of the Tokyo scent Gaiac 10, a mix of olibanum and cedar combined with four different types of musks, is to book a plane ticket to Japan and pick up a bottle for yourself. There is some good news for those of us who have run out of vacation days. Come September 1, Le Labo will be granting special access to their City Exclusives Collection for four weeks only, when every single hard-to-get-your-hands-on scent will be available in all Le Labo stores around the globe—and online. Here's a rundown of all the scents available: Gaiac 10 (Tokyo); Vanille 44 (Paris); Tubereuse 40 (New York); Mousse De Chene 30 (Amsterdam); Poivre 23 (London); Musc 25 (Los Angeles); Aldehyde 44 (Dallas); Limette 37 (San Francisco); Baie Rose 26 (Chicago); Cuir 28 (Dubai); Benjoin 19 (Moscow). Each scent comes in multiple TSA-approved sizes, including a perfume oil and liquid balm, ranging from $12 through $1,740 depending on the size. These city scents are a souvenir no-brainer as far as we're concerned, but if you're not quite sure which one you prefer, available now (also until September 30) is Le Labo's special Discovery Set, retailing for $60. It comes equipped with five of the brand's most popular City Exclusive scents including Gaiac 10, Mousse de Chene 30, Musc 25, Tubereuse 40, and Vanille 44, and each fragrance is packaged in a 0.05 fl. oz. vial to give you a chance to sample your favorite destinations and figure out which one you want to commit to. They also happen to be the perfect size to throw into your dopp kit."
