We had the BEST time picking out our wedding fragrances here. Tao was super helpful and kind, as was the other woman who was working with her. Tao was patient and extremely knowledgeable. We were cracking up and as someone who is super indecisive, she made it low pressure and was very helpful in deciding. I think we became best friends. We will be back!

My partner and I visited this store to find a unisex scent for a special occasion. We were greater by a young lady who led us to the scents. She walked to the back while we were still sampling and we completed the purchase with a young man at the cashier who mixed the scent in the store‘s lab. We enjoyed the scent for the occasion.

Aniahhhhhhhhhh! This young lady has been one of the nicest and most warm individuals I’ve seen to work in a luxury establishment! Her greetings are like a warm hug ! Her passion for getting to know the client is a lost art! She knows me by name and my wolf dog by name ! She always tends to my dog and treats us like family ! I have been to this location over 30 times , and each time she’s there , I smile so hard walking out ! She is the reason me and my friends return to that location specifically! Aniah is luxury inside and out ! Aniah is the brand and the brand is her ! ❤️

love Le labo , and I am a regular costumer since 2016. giving 3 stars cuz last 3 perfumes were noticeably weaker compare to previous ones ( they lack essential oil or what?) hopefully they can fix that

Totally a hidden gem in DC. Everyone that works there is extremely nice. I worked with Hannah and she was extremely helpful and offered great suggestions. Highly recommend the Santal 33 shampoo and conditioner. Love the candies too! Box for the candle required a screwdriver which was a-little over the top. Getting it out of the box was rough and caused me to put my fingers in the candle.

First amazing presence, storefront and service. The fragrances are phenomenal- grabbed the 33 and oil of the same. Offer customization options. Have gotten SO many compliments. You don't realize how much of an alcohol tangential aroma (lack of better words) other colognes have (nice brands too) until you have the pleasure if not distinct honor of wearing Le Labo.

George in the Elizabeth Street store was a delight to deal with - helpful, knowledgeable and funny. And I love the Santal 33 he made me. His female colleague, who made fun of my Antipodean accent as I was leaving the store, wasn't so positive but oh well, George made up for her! Promote George today!

Anaya (I hope I’m spelling it correctly) was great! She assisted my mom & I, we were so pleased with our experience because we left feeling so informed and empowered. We will definitely be back not only for perfumes but because we know we’ll be in great hands!

Went in to try some new fragrances. Ended up purchasing a roll on of one that caught my attention. The gentleman who helped us explained the different sizes and let us explore the different scents. We got to watch him mix them for us which was cool. The scents are more mature in my opinion, and pricey. It could be fun to take your friends on a day out.

This is my favorite place to buy men's grooming products. They have a great collection from face lotions to beard oils, deodorants, shampoo, conditioner, colognes, hand pomade, and shower gel. Absolutely great quality! Price - this is definitely on the higher end. Most of the products cost between $35 to $50 for small size bottles. Colognes can cost around $300. Absolutely worth it! I have been using their product since a couple of years. Highly recommend it. Staff - very friendly. They even let your pets in this store. My dog loves coming with us and just hanging out and gets lots of attention. Gives me plenty of time to test a lot of their products without worrying about my dog being tied to a bike lock area outside.

This delightful store is located in the busy but convenient and charming Georgetown area. I was immediately greeted by one of the two friendly workers and felt like he really tried to provide attentive customer service even though the store was quite busy. He was very knowledgeable about the different fragrances and made recommendations based on my preferred scent profiles without being pushy. My choices were prepared quickly in the lab and nicely packaged. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience much like the time I visited the Le Labo store in NYC.

Ahh I'm really late with this review. But I had a wonderful experience at this shop. My friend and I stopped by randomly on a Sunday just to browse around but we both ended up getting a little something. This shop has a variety of perfumes/soaps/lotions/candles/etc. it has a rustic aesthetic and the fragrances match it very well. I opted for the orange blossom scent while my friend got the rose scent. The fun part of picking out our items was that we got to see them get made in real time by the shopkeeper! And we also got to customize the labels too. Very pleasant time all around. Also a great date idea if you want to spoil your partner :)

We went in on June 4th at 530 p.m. First off let me start out by saying I literally own every single perfume from Lelabo so that know them pretty well. I will not ever buy Lelabo or Estée Lauder products ever again and hope they lose business or go out of business based on the two employees working or not working that day. If I ever feel like giving 380 dollars to any business for a bottle of perfume and lotion it won't be to Lelabo anymore I'll buy knockoffs that smell just as good and last just as long for 50 bucks rather than give you one more red cent. To Estee, you should teach your employees to act like they care or at least a hello or thank you but because you did not I hope you lose all kinds of business and possibly go out of business, please don't shop with Lelabo and support these wanna be pretentious employees who let's face it don't really care about you or your money. It's a soulless company with people who don't care working for them, they're a joke don't get ripped off.

Follow your nose...."It always knows!" An interesting place, line of products and obscure atmosphere that entices you indeed. Le Labo is something of a uni-sex fragrance revolution and definitely got a unique niche on its take of the "smell goods." I stopped here yesterday to pick up a gift for my friend that has been raving about Le Labo all year. It was all she wanted....and it smells really good on her might I add. So, I walked in and was greeted by the store's lab technician named Olive, I believe. She definitely knew the product line and was very knowledgeable. Dreading it was going to be a long drawn-out process, I mentioned to her what I was looking for and she immediately got me situated and ready to go in less than 5 minutes. But, being so intrigued by the sterile, yet cool layout....I couldn't help to want to find something for myself. Here's where the anxiety began to set in. If you are like me, finding a good fragrance isn't the easiest task-- Many smell the same and after a while...I get a headache from sniff testing and ingesting so many scents. This was not the case at Le Labo. Thanks to Olive she made the process easy and gave me one of the best lessons on the variant degrees of scent notes, the concept of the store and what qualifies as a fine fragrance. I mean vegan frangrances!??....who knew? It was the perfect set up, upsell and I learned what goes into making their exclusive products. Trying to make a choice on the many fragrances like Fleur d'Oranger 27, Jasmin 17, Labdanum 18, Ambrette 9, Iris 39, Bergamote 22, Rose 31, Vetiver 46, Patchouli 24 and Neroli 36.....the narrowing down situation can get real. For starters, the number in the fragrance name refers to the number of notes that make up the scent's composition, and the name is taken from the ingredient in the highest concentration; to take one example, Jasmin 17 has 17 ingredients, with jasmine being in the highest concentration. The names are inutile but not always necessarily related to what the fragrance is meant to smell like. I definitely felt like a kid again, playing with my first chemistry set to find what was right for me. THE CHOICE It was a hard choice, but I settled on The Noir 29. This fragrance is a knockout and sure to set the mood for any occasion...or atleast have you feeling GQ...sexy as hell...all day! The fragrance is dark, but clean with notes of bay leaves, fruit and cardamon. Le Labo The Noir 29 smells like you are walking in a park in the fall, stepping on and crushing the fallen leaves. And, the aroma of the dry leaves, woods and wild flowers being crushed are filling the air around you. HONORABLE MENTIONS * Rose 31 -- Interesting name for a fragrance meant for men, but gentleman don't sleep. It's a keeper. Fresh, clean with a spicy edge. It starts spicy and fresh with a mix of cardamom, cumin, pepper, and cinnamon....It anti-ups your natural pheromones. * Labdanum 18 -- A killer fragrance. Great for when you want to show your sensitive side. It opens with intimate citrus notes then burns down to an animalic and vanilla hazy backdrop. Imagine "Tony the Tiger--Frosted Flakes"...lol....not kidding. MY ADVICE With so many fragrances to choose from and at a hefty price tag....my recommendation is to start with the -- DISCOVERY KIT. This product is the best bang for your buck. For only $30 dollars, you get a chance to sample six fragrances at a steal versus the small $78 to larger $90-175 bottles. This way you can find out what works best for you over time instead of wasting money on something you initially thought was good for you and didn't work...."Ain't nobody got time for that!" THE VERDICT I am sold on Le Labo. The fragrances are unique, complex....And, The personalized fragrance bottles with my name, date sold, location, and an expiration date...is the added touch that sealed the deal. Talk about feelin' special and buying into exclusivity. But, that mentality comes with a hefty price tag. Your average bottle of Le Labo fragrance will cost you $160, while a bottle of the brand's Tubereuse 40 will set you back a staggering $440. You can almost go to Paris where the product originated for that much. It's not hard to see why a customer may only opt for that $78 bottle that excites them after testing on paper. Bottomline: You get what you pay for here. Le Labo stands out as a something truly unique, new and noteworthy. Whether you're shopping for a gift or for your own collection...this place got you covered.

I finally made it to Le Labo! If you are looking for a one of a kind scent for any season, this is the place for you. The minute you walk in, the unique smell of freshness slaps you in the face - partly because they make your fragrance on the spot! Diego helped me with my new summer scent and was amazing. I was torn between two very strong scents but he went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Definitely coming back for my refills soon :)

3.5. Apparently Le Labo became popular after Justin Bieber started using their Santal 33 scent or is best known for Santal 33 that Bieber uses. There is nothing wrong with the store or the services, but I am giving it a 3.5 because I personally don't think that their perfumes are worth the money. Mediocre service and mediocre product. Ever since Tom Ford launched their perfume lines, I feel like all these ridiculously expensive mediocre perfume lines are coming out on the market. Yes, luxury perfumes always existed, but does Le Labo smell better than Creed, Tom Ford, or even Jo Malone? I don't think so. It made me think that Hermes perfumes were really cheap and I should be thankful to be able to purchase perfumes for under $130......sigh. Le labo's perfume line prices range from $175~$260 (1.7oz~3.4oz). In some shops, I read that you can request your perfume to be freshly made on the spot to create a unique scent, but not at this location. I smelled every scent at the store, and other than their signature Santal 33, not a single one caught my attention. After visiting Le Labo, I felt like Jo Malone, which was incredibly popular worldwide and considered a luxury perfume line, was a bargain and I prayed that it would not raise its price. For the same buck, I wouldn't think twice to buy Jo Malone or Hermes over Le Labo. I know that some Fairmont hotels (including Fairmont Kea Lani Maui) provides Le Labo's Rose 31 scent as their amenities, so I am sure their product is quite popular and loved by many. Nevertheless, I didn't love their product and definitely would not recommend it. Of course, if you would like to smell like Justin Bieber, heck go for it.

I am only starting to get into niche perfumes and my friend who is a long-term expert told me to try out Le Labo as a starting point. The first time i went in, Glenn and Olive were both so nice, accomodating, and were very knowledgable. I ended up buying two samples to weigh my options. The next time was two weeks later with my friend, the perfume connoisseur, who was in-town and we ended up choosing 6 samples between us and me getting Thé Noir 29 in the 50 mL bottle. Glenn was so nice that instead of us buying the 6 samples he let us have the discovery set, which includes all 15 fragrances currently in rotation, for 75% of the price it is retailed as on the label! Other positive aspects of the store: the fragrances are grouped by woodsy, floral, & clean smells. The great thing is that you may think you only like one note group but end up liking some scents in the other groups. All of their fragrances are unisex, which is what I most prefer when searching for fragrances. You can refill your bottles for 20% off plus they personalize the labels on your bottles and packages when you buy them. It is not for those who are looking for even Sephora-level pricing but for those who want to explore the niche/avant-garde side of perfumery and want to invest in a worthy product. Cannot praise it enough!

I stopped at Le Labo in late August after an eye exam at Warby Parker. Le Labo makes Rose31 which is the best fragrance because it is floral and sweet and smells amazing to me. Glenn, the man who assisted me shared that Rose31 is the only scent they carry that is available in every new product in the inventory - laundry detergent, diffuser, etc. I found out about LeLabo via the Fairmont. LeLabo is their toiletry line in the guest rooms. I purchased a discovery set as a Birthday gift for $30, which is the right price point for 5 sample bottles - which retail on Amazon for $6 individually. Glenn advised not to purchase LeLabo on Amazon because you don't know if the scent has been tampered with. I venture to say that Jo Malone and other luxury brands do not compare - I'll wear Rose 31 for the rest of my life.

Not sure there's a fragrance in here that I wouldn't want to smell on myself or someone else for that matter. Went in for a bday gift and will be returning to get myself a "not my birthday but I'm going to spend this unnecessary money" gift

I'm addicted to Le Labo! I'm so happy they have a location here in DC. It's convenient to test the different scents available and the people are friendly.

The decor is vintage industrial French. The scents are varied and at times almost odd. Get the sampler pack and try them on to figure out what you enjoy before committing to one of the more expensive concoctions. Staff is vapid at best but they are marginally helpful. I enjoyed the candles but had a hard time finding one I truly loved.

I think their perfume smells are very authentic and unique. However they're on the pricier end but they do offer good quality unique niche perfumes. Overtime they have been becoming more common and widely available and excepted so their unique mystery smell has been on many people. I think this is a natural phenomenon and evolution of success. Besides that,They have some quintessential fragrances in aroma's such as Santa 33. I would highly recommend a visit to the stop

Very friendly associates. I actually live in a different state but called the Le Labo DC shop to do the refill on my Santal 33. The gentlemen who helped me on the phone was very friendly and helpful. I sent my empty bottle and they refilled it and sent it back out immediately. This experience made me love Le Labo even more!
