Bought the 35 macaron set to taste as many macarons as possible, and took notes.
The best ones:
Cerise and fleur de cerisier, 11/10 - holy smokes, this was delicious, and I don't even like cherry that much. I would have gone back and bought an entire box of this.
Barbe a papa - 10/10, no notes, tastes like the real thing
Chocolate - 9.5/10, a little too sweet, but wow. Tastes like brownie you make when you melt an entire bar of chocolate into it.
Spéculoos - 9.5, tastes identical to the biscuit, good job
Passion ananas - 9.5, really good but could do with a teeny bit more pineapple
Praline noisette - 9/10, a tiny bit weak on the taste, but outstanding
Cassis and Violette - 9/10, confusing but in a good way.
Matcha latte - 9/10, tasted like matcha (I hate matcha tho, but it tastes exactly the same)
Vanilla - 8.5, that's vanilla
Mojito - 8/10, not enough mint
Mure lilas - 8/10, a bit weak on taste but still plenty good
The mediums
Pistache - 6.5, I'm a big pistache fan, and I was let down a little, would love to see a some more flavour and less sweetness
Crunchy - 6/10 (I don't like peanuts)
The not-my-taste:
The brown and orange one that tasted of peanut that I couldn't find on the card - 5/10 (don't like peanuts)
Tonka - 1/10, I did not know what a Tonka bean was, but now I do. It's a very odd and unpleasant (to me) taste. Definitely try this one before buying, might be fun for some, but not for me.
All in all, some really good stuff. -1 star cause they didn't have a folding ramp, and I'm a wheelchair user. Definitely worth buying a box and making the trip. The staff member was also lovey
Next time I'm loading up on that cherry, that was amazing.
