Great menu that didn't rely on Foie Gras and walnuts like many others. Very friendly and multilingual staff. Our dogs were also welcome outside.

Stark contrast to nearby restaurants. Service was warm, friendly, attentive but not pushy. They were genuinely relaxed, happy to chat if you wanted to or smile and serve. We had the menu (2 entree,2 mains, 1 dessert) Excellent french salad and perigord 'black' ham entrees, both the magret and confit ducks were juicy, beautifully cooked and delicious. Dessert was a homemade nut tart which we loved. The house red was average. It was even easy to pay for dinner, rare in many french restaurants.

My duck cassoulet was ok but my wife's coq au vin was pretty much bones in gravy. Pushy manager who encouraged us to give thumbs up to passing tourists so they would come in. We didn't.

They managed to burn Coq au vin in all 3 servings. Very disappointed. It appeared to have been reheated as it was black on top.

We enjoyed an excellent three course dinner at a very reasonable price. The staff are very welcoming and efficient, the food was nicely presented and very tasty. We'd happily recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a quality gastronomic experience.

We ate here after being accosted by the owner whilst reading menu. Nice setting and ambiance with efficient staff. We ordered the three course menu at 25 Euros. The starters were very good, however that was it. We ordered "coq au vin", which should be renamed "bones au vin" as there was very little chicken meat evident. To make matters worse, the crockery was severely chipped. We chose the chocolate gateaux for dessert, but they forgot to supply a magnifying glass to see the miniscule portions. We left hungry. I am sure that one could find better in this area.

We came there and sat down (there were quite a few free tables) and then came this guy if we had presented ourselves, had authorisation to sit there. And by the way we are closing the kitchen. Very strange approach 🤔.

We ordered from the 3 course menu and it was all delicious, i especially enjoyed the duck which i wouldnt normally eat. Served promptly and sat outside surrounded by beautiful buildings of Sarlat.
