Le Mas Candille - Hôtel, Restaurants & Spa

What a way to start 2025. Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Everything here is top notch. We had dinner in the main restaurant on NYE which was excellent. Had great cocktails in the bar too. The staff are very welcoming and attentive - no problem too small. Facilities and rooms are all new and fresh. The location is very convenient and a great base for sightseeing. All in all one of our best hotel experiences we’ve had and definitely recommend. Hope we can come again.

Let's start with the good: Valet Parking is amazing! Overall the service is confusing, but friendly. Make sure you speak french, otherwise only between 1/3 and 1/2 of what you try to communicate gets through to the person in charge. The quality of your stay very much depends on which person is on duty. On the day my friend departed the hotel, I requested a simple swap between 2 rooms in the same category, I was informed to forward my Name and Phone number and 'they would call me'. Never heard anything and when I asked after some time, staff had changed and they knew nothing about the request 🤷🏻‍♂️🙄 Same when you order at the restaurant. You need to speak to someone who understands what you order. Otherwise you get maybe your mains, while starter or desserts are 'forgotten'. Happened to me twice. Red wine by the glass is served warm (25 degrees plus). Thankfully the breakfast is good. In my opinion we are not on paar with what I expect from a hotel this category 🤷🏻‍♂️ I would stay again if I get a deal but at the price I am paying, it's not worth it.

Le Mas Candille is a gorgeous property on face value and impeccable design, however various elements to the hotel let us down when we stayed here this past week. Advertised as child friendly, the kids club was closed barely out of Summer and not communicated anywhere on their website. The only restaurant open onsite did not open for dinner until 7.30pm and so parents need to revert to the room service menu, of which bizarrely has none of the kid friendly options included. Lunch by the pool was lovely, however service was well below 5-star standard, with some of our order often forgotten or delayed despite a quiet kitchen. Finally, the only pool open to children is not heated, and so quite chilly despite the warm weather.

Five days in this hotel were the highlight of our long vacation. We enjoyed all amenities in this tastefully renovated hotel, including the heated outdoor swimming pool late in October!|Huge beautiful grounds, cosy room with nice complements, top quality restaurant and super helpful staff. In short: the hotel exceeded our expectations. Wish to return soon.

A long-time fan of Spa Mas Candille, I was amazed at the beautiful renovation that has been done by the new owners, the Clarins family. It is a breathtaking property with so much style and every amenity. My only advise would be to either lower the prices before and after the summer period for the locals, so that they can regularly come to the spa. Beautiful place and gracious hospitality!

Super nice renovated, full of old charm, hotel. Our room was 214- highly recommend for couple. Private large terasse, nice size. All super cute. Spa pool area is great. No kids,food, drink zone. Restaurant is cosy, but overpriced. Big thanks to Melanie 😘 Ps. The village of Mougins is super cute also, just a short walk away with lot of restaurants

We have just returned from a very enjoyable three night stay at Le Mas Candille, The hotel only re-opened after an extensive refurb on June 21 so there were a few teething issues but the rooms are excellent and the facilities superb. The new Clarins spa was very good. We look forward to a return trip.

A dream! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and it was perfection. Beautiful and serene in the lovely and quaint village of Mougins. We were able to truly and completely relax. We took advantage of all the amenities the resort had to offer. We had espresso on our beautiful balcony every morning. Listened to the birds and watching the sunlight stream through the trees. We were able to step outside our door to the pool and swim in luxurious surroundings. We attended a champagne toast with hotel management on Thursday evening which was lovely. We lounged and napped in the large swing chairs. We relaxed in the sauna in the tranquil Japanese garden. Our room was large and pristine. The staff was excellent and attended to our every need. We booked a less expensive room and they were kind enough to upgrade us because it was our honeymoon. We both got massages and facials at the Sheisido spa and then we enjoyed the relaxation room with tea afterwards. Heavenly. To finish our week, we had dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant La Candille. The flavors and complexity of the dishes I have never experienced before! Excellent service as well. An establishment deserving of the Michelin star. Thank you Le Mas Candille! My honeymoon was a dream come true!

Fantastic! A delightful experience, that encompasses the visual & olfactory in every way! Creative, inventive menu(s), exceptional wine list (with comprehensive by-the-glass offerings), terrific service, and a stunning setting! Truly a must-visit. One note: Le Mas Candille is an estate encompassing a hotel & two separate restaurants. The signage to the Mas Candille restaurant isn't great, so make sure you don't park at the top. On the other hand, its a lively experience walking through the estate... Go, & enjoy!

This review is for the so-called 1-Michelin starred restaurant on the property. The property is very nice and i have to say the service was genuine and attentive. Amazingly, the food is consistently flavorless and middle of the road all the way through the amuse bouche, which did not amuse at all, to the disrespected foie gras served with some flavorless foam, to the "one-sided" cooking (but unanimously DOA) red mullet, to The Langoustine ravioli that I could have made myself. I was amazed by the audacity to call an olive flavored bread a "second appetizer". I was pretty sure the chef must have resigned or something even though I was assured several times that "yes, he is here in the kitchen". We never saw this person and actually never got approached by anyone of authority even though we gave feedback on our food almost after each course. The dessert was actually good, very surprising in a pleasant way! At the end, we were asked by the hostess how it was, upon hearing our feedback (again), she said she hoped we would change our minds. Really? Is that a fair expectation? Or should the restaurant perhaps consider making better tasting food? I should add, this was after a meal at another 1-star Michelin restaurant in the area where we had an amazing experience. One wonders about the consistency of Michelin ratings and the robustness of the checks and balances employed. I would never consider going back, no thank you.

Between Cannes and Grasse, Le Mas Candille is a five-star luxury hotel with a gourmet restaurant in Mougins, on the Cote d'Azur. This is an incredibly beautiful restaurant, with a great view. As expected from any place which costs 100EUR per person (not including beverages) the food, service, surroundings are exactly what you pay for. If you are planning to treat someone, or maybe even ask them to marry you, take them here!

Excellent stay in Mougins ! About 20 minutes from Cannes, is a blissful 5 star spa/retreat. Cuisine is outstanding, I just believe children under the age of 8, or older children with hyperactivity disorders should NOT be seated in a Michelin rated restaurant in the evening after 8 p.m. Parents should use their better judgement, for those parents without judgement ( or a nanny), no children in the main restaurant after 8 p.m. Location 5 star, food/cuisine 5 star, service incredible....not as good as Ritz-Carlton, but if I was a regular, all the details would be there. Spa is beautiful, nice pool...nice jacuzzi ( not hot enough ), but the actual massage a little weak. A French young woman weighting 100# with hands the size of mine in pre-school has not a great success @ a 50 minute sport massage on a 6', 225# big guy. Reflexology was decent, not as great as my reflexologist in Montauk ( Long Island ) , but this trip was so great...planning next July before the August Grand European month off !
