Overall pleasant experience and would recommend staying! The highlight is the calm atmosphere of the property and the spa pool/facilities were excellent. Service was generally good. Amazing that Mougins old town is a short walk or golf cart ride away. Breakfast and lunch were excellent (service at pool was very good). The room safe was a little small, it couldn't fit a 14" laptop but it easily fits phone/wallet/passport etc (not a deal breaker but FYI so others are aware).

Mas Candille is an absolutely beautiful 5-star hotel but not in the overly “posh” way. It has such a natural, relaxed charm where peace, nature and thoughtful design come together perfectly. The atmosphere feels calm and welcoming, and there’s a wonderful energy throughout the whole property. Special praise goes to the staff -from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt truly cared for and safe. This meant the world to us as parents travelling with two small girls. It’s rare to find a place where the team instinctively offers that little extra hand of help when you need it most.

If a hotel could be perfect, this is the perfect hideaway but still having the excitement of the Cote d' Azure and only 20 minutes from Cannes. The grounds are stunning, the service is excellent and everything in your room is thought out. The buffet breakfast is outstanding as is having drinks on the terrace at night overlooking the magnificent garden. The hotel is down a steep hill from the wonderful art and restaurant town of Mougins. As part of their great service the hotel drives you up to town in their golf carts.

I'll start with the pros: We came with a baby and the entire team at the hotel was super accommodating for us and helped us as needed. That was fantastic. We had some special food needs and the hotel was extremely accommodating to help us meet them. the grounds and view from the hotel are magnificent. Specifically from one of the pools... it was great. Pool itself was great as well. Great breakfast as well! Cons: Honestly, the room was a big dissapointment. It was about 30 degrees outside and the AC hardly worked so was sweating the whole night. We told the hotel staff the first night and they said they would bring a technician the next day. This didn't fix the problem and it was really really hot in the room. Also, the shower is shockingly bad, it felt like I was in a hostel. You had to angle it a certain way so that it didn't flood the floor, which I thought was hilarious but also annoying. I probably wouldn't come back with a baby as the hotel was very quiet and, while the hotel was very tolerable and accommodating to us, it wasn't really the vibe to have a baby there.

Very well hosted by this hotel’s Team. The room was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The steam super cleans and spacious, and the sauna bright with a view on Mougins. Very cool and charming hotel overall. Special thanks to Freddie and Cléo!

Currently staying here. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was lovely & the staff seem charming, but we seem to need to ask three times for anything. We left a dossier of documents in the restaurant at dinner and asked two people at breakfast then the receptionist to please find it. When we left the hotel at five we reminded another receptionist again and it was returned by nine. |Weirdly the couldn’t manage to make an oat milk cappuccino & morning coffee is a must. After waiting for the third attempt from the manager (I think) a charming very junior waitress cleared the table and asked me if I wanted anything. I again requested a cappuccino. She managed to deliver it ten minutes before the manageress. |The TV didn’t work tonight and the hotel manager came out but failed to fix it. Sweet of him to come but as he wasn’t a technician and as none were available, I’m beginning to feel the five star experience is lacking.

This is a great boutique hotel on a beautiful land with a great view from everywhere. Lovely grounds. The dining room was cute. The breakfast was superb. Easy short walk into town. A great experience.

Beautiful place in such a lovely location as you're not too far from both Provence and the coast to explore! Service was wonderful and brekkie so delicious! We celebrated our babymoon ahead of businesses as baby arrives soon and the team were so attentive! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in a very well decorated hotel with amazing service!

Yelp
A dream! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and it was perfection. Beautiful and serene in the lovely and quaint village of Mougins. We were able to truly and completely relax. We took advantage of all the amenities the resort had to offer. We had espresso on our beautiful balcony every morning. Listened to the birds and watching the sunlight stream through the trees. We were able to step outside our door to the pool and swim in luxurious surroundings. We attended a champagne toast with hotel management on Thursday evening which was lovely. We lounged and napped in the large swing chairs. We relaxed in the sauna in the tranquil Japanese garden. Our room was large and pristine. The staff was excellent and attended to our every need. We booked a less expensive room and they were kind enough to upgrade us because it was our honeymoon. We both got massages and facials at the Sheisido spa and then we enjoyed the relaxation room with tea afterwards. Heavenly. To finish our week, we had dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant La Candille. The flavors and complexity of the dishes I have never experienced before! Excellent service as well. An establishment deserving of the Michelin star. Thank you Le Mas Candille! My honeymoon was a dream come true!

Yelp
Fantastic! A delightful experience, that encompasses the visual & olfactory in every way! Creative, inventive menu(s), exceptional wine list (with comprehensive by-the-glass offerings), terrific service, and a stunning setting! Truly a must-visit. One note: Le Mas Candille is an estate encompassing a hotel & two separate restaurants. The signage to the Mas Candille restaurant isn't great, so make sure you don't park at the top. On the other hand, its a lively experience walking through the estate... Go, & enjoy!

Yelp
This review is for the so-called 1-Michelin starred restaurant on the property. The property is very nice and i have to say the service was genuine and attentive. Amazingly, the food is consistently flavorless and middle of the road all the way through the amuse bouche, which did not amuse at all, to the disrespected foie gras served with some flavorless foam, to the "one-sided" cooking (but unanimously DOA) red mullet, to The Langoustine ravioli that I could have made myself. I was amazed by the audacity to call an olive flavored bread a "second appetizer". I was pretty sure the chef must have resigned or something even though I was assured several times that "yes, he is here in the kitchen". We never saw this person and actually never got approached by anyone of authority even though we gave feedback on our food almost after each course. The dessert was actually good, very surprising in a pleasant way! At the end, we were asked by the hostess how it was, upon hearing our feedback (again), she said she hoped we would change our minds. Really? Is that a fair expectation? Or should the restaurant perhaps consider making better tasting food? I should add, this was after a meal at another 1-star Michelin restaurant in the area where we had an amazing experience. One wonders about the consistency of Michelin ratings and the robustness of the checks and balances employed. I would never consider going back, no thank you.

Yelp
Between Cannes and Grasse, Le Mas Candille is a five-star luxury hotel with a gourmet restaurant in Mougins, on the Cote d'Azur. This is an incredibly beautiful restaurant, with a great view. As expected from any place which costs 100EUR per person (not including beverages) the food, service, surroundings are exactly what you pay for. If you are planning to treat someone, or maybe even ask them to marry you, take them here!

Yelp
Excellent stay in Mougins ! About 20 minutes from Cannes, is a blissful 5 star spa/retreat. Cuisine is outstanding, I just believe children under the age of 8, or older children with hyperactivity disorders should NOT be seated in a Michelin rated restaurant in the evening after 8 p.m. Parents should use their better judgement, for those parents without judgement ( or a nanny), no children in the main restaurant after 8 p.m. Location 5 star, food/cuisine 5 star, service incredible....not as good as Ritz-Carlton, but if I was a regular, all the details would be there. Spa is beautiful, nice pool...nice jacuzzi ( not hot enough ), but the actual massage a little weak. A French young woman weighting 100# with hands the size of mine in pre-school has not a great success @ a 50 minute sport massage on a 6', 225# big guy. Reflexology was decent, not as great as my reflexologist in Montauk ( Long Island ) , but this trip was so great...planning next July before the August Grand European month off !
