Le Mas de la Rose, near Orgon, Provence, France - Explore & Book

"This 17th-century farmhouse stands serenely in 20 hectares of trim lawns and thick woodland. Lavender scents the air in summer, there are loungers for sun worshipers, a tennis court for exercise freaks and a very attractive pool which sparkles in front of the house. As you sweep down the drive you'll approach the perfectly preserved building that looks more like someone's country home than an exclusive hotel, and the warm and familiar feeling extends inside. It is grand and gracious, without any sense of stuffiness. Outside, stone walls drip with colour while separate terraces for breakfast and dinner ensure maximum sun whenever you eat. Inside, an uncluttered elegance runs throughout. There are stone arches, a vaulted sitting room, open fires, huge sofas and painted beams. Rooms are scattered about (some with terraces), the more expensive quite spectacular, though the smaller rooms are lovely, too. Pull yourself away and discover St Remy, Avignon, Arles, Nimes; all are close. There’s a Michelin star at the village bistro, so don’t come to diet. Highs This lovely old house, which sits elegantly in its 20 hectares of lawns and woodlandGorgeous bedrooms that spoil you all the wayThe pool, with comfy loungers scattered all over the gardenThe Alpilles Hills which encircle you, where Van Gogh painted his olive treesThe unmissable Cathedrale d’Images at Les Baux - don’t miss this Lows Breakfast is not included and will set you back a small fortuneIt's a little priceyYou need to book a table in advance for dinner as the restaurant is often fullTo make the most of the rural setting and wider region you'll need a car" - Tom Bell

"In the South of France there’s no need to reinvent the hospitality wheel. Le Mas de la Rose is a stone-cold classic of the Provençal farmhouse-hotel genre, a 17th-century example that’s been thoroughly restored without sacrificing any of its historical charm. The setting, at the foot of the Alpilles, is appropriately bucolic, and the estate is as well, with its typical lavender and olive groves." - Tablet Hotels

I got married at Le Mas de la Rose in spring 2024, and honestly, it was everything I could have dreamed of. The venue is stunning, with endless olive trees, fields of lavender, a little vegetable garden, and even a tennis court. From the minute you arrive, you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world. We spent the whole weekend there, and I can truly say that our guests and I will never forget how incredible all the people were. The team at Le Mas de la Rose don’t just keep the place running, they make it shine even brighter. Every single person was warm, helpful, and genuinely kind. They made us feel so cared for, and their thoughtfulness made the celebration feel extra special. When it comes to weddings, Véronique is truly one of a kind. She is the heart of the place, and her energy sets the tone for everything. Her smile lifts everyone’s spirits, and she has this calm, reassuring presence that makes you feel instantly at ease. She pays attention to every detail and always has a solution, no matter how complicated the situation. I’ll be honest: I was a rather demanding bride with a few wild requests. But not once did anyone say no to me. Instead, they listened and took the time to understand what I really needed. They always found a way to meet me in the middle, with solutions that made me feel supported and understood. Thanks to them, I was able to relax and really enjoy my wedding day. The rest of the team was just as wonderful. Every staff member made sure my husband, our guests, and I were happy and comfortable the whole weekend. The weather was unpredictable, with strong winds and a bit of rain at times, but the staff had plans for every possibility, so everything went smoothly. The restaurant at Le Mas de la Rose is also fantastic. The food was delicious, the desserts were a highlight, and the service was always warm and professional. Would I recommend Le Mas de la Rose? Absolutely. Our wedding was so special that I honestly wish I could do it all over again every year. If you’re looking for a magical place to get married in Provence, this is the one.

If you have the ability to splurge on a fabulous experience in Provence, do so at La Mas de la Rose. Impeccable grounds, 5-star service, captivating small B&B in the heart of Provence. I never wanted to leave! The rooms, the food and wine, the pool—all perfect. Unforgettable breakfast too!

Le Mas de La Rose is a magical place that truly invites the guests to feel welcome and at home. We could have not asked for a more perfect wedding location and hotel to accommodate our family and friends. The owners are kind and very attentive and so is everyone from the staff. A special thank you goes to Veronique, who went above and beyond to create the most amazing day for us! The food is delicious and on point — even for larger groups. We loved every second of our stay and will be back next year. If you’re reading this thinking the reviews cannot all be that positive. Believe us, we had a similar thought. But the way we were cared for in this very well maintained boutique hotel was outstanding.

We just returned from 17 days in France. We started in Paris for six days, umped on a Viking river cruise from Lyon to Avignon then rented a car and drove down to the Le Mas de la Rose. We wanted a central location in Provence to spend four days touring the beautiful villages in the area. ||We planned our trip six months ago and drove Sabine crazy with all our questions where to go and what to do. I can’t express how delighted she was with the way she handled all our questions and our stay. ||This restored farmhouse was was absolutely stunning. The grounds were meticulously kept and although we did not use the pool it was part of the beautiful setting for this 12 room farmhouse. Our rustic room was beautifully decorated, and we had a skylight over our bed looking at the stars. The room up keep was wonderful. Our favorite was our breakfast buffet and Fatima the cook was terrific. ||I cannot say enough about this cozy little place, nestled in the countryside surrounded by olive fields and vineyards.||Thanks again to our hosts Sabine and Franck.

We spent one night in July. Half of the faculties were closed because it was Monday. We spent €370 for a room (nice but nothing spectacular) Nothing included, basically a tourist trap. €30 for a beer and a cocktail served on the pool €30 each for a breakfast which I had in better 3 stars / hostels. It looked like the perfect location for a wedding and for sure it is, but stay away if you want a nice week end because you can find better place for one third of the price.

Truly beautiful hotel. My partner and I stayed for three nights for a wedding. The staff are amazing and are always on hand to help. No request is too much for them no matter how small or big. We stayed in room 10, which had a king size bedroom and walk in shower. The bathroom was stunning. The swimming pool is heated so you can go in no matter the weather. The attention to detail around the hotel is amazing. The decor is to die for. There is a tennis court, bowls and pool table on site. The breakfast was continental, all really fresh ingredients. The kitchen staff also make cooked breakfast upon request. I recommend the omelette! Lunch was not included however the staff are helpful with organising a taxi to go to the nearby village. The wedding itself was beautiful. With the aisle near the pool and lavender field. Perfect for photos. The food at the wedding was amazing, only small issue is that the room with the DJ is not air conditioned and is VERY hot when dancing. The drink prices are reasonable and charged to the room. Mini bar in the room is not included. But there is a nearby shop that you can stock up on food and drinks for your room. Overall an incredible wedding venue!

Where to even begin with how amazing Mas de la Rose is... We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect -- Veronique and her staff are the absolute best. We had around 50 guests, and we live in the states, and even though we didn't have a wedding planner, Veronique was the most helpful, attentive, responsive and kind, able to help with anything we needed. We can't WAIT to go back for our anniversaries!! The most picturesque location, great customer service, superb food, and wonderful vistas. Comfortable, understated luxury -- the most relaxing and beautiful spot in Provence. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Lovely meal. Gorgeous, very peaceful place. Attentive service. They had a Michelin star at one point, and it shows. Not inexpensive, but very enjoyable. We look forward to returning.
