Mas des Herbes Blanches Hôtel & Spa (Joucas, French Riviera / Provence) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The idea of Provence doesn’t generally need much in the way of a sales pitch. The South of France’s most famous region is known globally for its gastronomy, its access to the Mediterranean, and its role in the film industry, and it needs little introduction. But if the sheer scale of French Riviera tourism causes you to shudder, allow us to introduce you to the quieter, (relatively) undiscovered side of this region. Mas des Herbes Blanches Hôtel & Spa thinks of itself as the region’s best-kept secret." - Tablet Hotels

Stayed here for 3 nights in a room with a private pool. Food was excellent, scenery superb. Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. The tour around the hotel turned out to be like the tours by the protagonist in Life in Pi - breakfast free for kids. It’s not free, we knew it wasn’t free. But dinner was free for the kid - which explained why they didn’t bring everything we ordered for the kid. The spa area opening times for kids were explained, but not what age of kid. Sadly also let down as we booked through Amex and the miss key points. Overall, a great hotel, great service, lovely peaceful surroundings. I would say better for couples, and they should probably strengthen their marketing to say it’s adult-focused so families aren’t turning up. It’s a short drive from beautiful towns Lourmarin, Gordes… Would recommend this hotel - just not with kids!

Beautiful property and beautiful views. Elevator not working(we had a baby with stroller), requested something in the room that didn’t arrive in over an hour. 35€ per person for breakfast felt a bit too much and if you need breakfast on the terrace of your room for a tranquil start to the morning, that was 50€ per person. We skipped breakfast at the property, instead drove to the nearby village and got freshly baked goods instead and enjoyed it on our terrace. Ordered room service dinner, was quite nice. Didn’t dine at the property restaurant as we were out during the day exploring Provence.

We had a great stay. Our family got an upgrade of our rooms. Lovely rooms with own terrasse. We played tennis, enjoyed the spa and outdoor pool. Great service both for our room service and at the restaurant.

Exquisite resort/hotel on the hill of Luberon, just on the other side of Gordes. Very comfortable suite, modern and elegant, with a very nice terrace. Spa, pool and restaurant complete the offer. Good quality/price ratio. Service is welcoming and efficient.

The hotel was stunning. The staff was all very friendly, kind, and accommodating. We were traveling with a 10 month old and everyone was super helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and you get some great views of the area. The food was outstanding both at breakfast and the dinner. Wish we had been able to stay longer.

Located in picturesque Joucas, Herbes Blanches is a popular destination. We had a wonderful stay. The room is well appointed with a lovely terrace for lazing in. The fine dining restaurant is excellent. The staff are attentive and looked after us very well.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My backpack got searched for in my room while I was out during my stay there last week and someone stole a pair of very expensive sunglasses. NO ONE from the hotel or Relais & Chateaux has responded to my emails or taken any responsibility. It is incredible that something like this happened in a so-called luxury hotel. This experience is beyond disappointing and frustrating.

On the fence. Depends what you're looking for. Beautiful premises, deer in the field visible on balcony eating at Michelin restaurant at sunset , very clean, spacious room , amazing outdoor patio overlooking expansive countryside, gorgeous stone buildings, communal pool area....vs. a bit isolated, must have reservations for all meals within 10 mile radius, and as a Canadian despite A2 French skills, felt a bit underserved. On check in, tour ended abruptly when my wife requested bathroom stop...told to wait on veranda until room available where we watched French couple who checked in behind us get royal tour with explanation of all amenities. Had to request " the rest of the tour" to get equal information otherwise would have sat there uniformed. Again, overall beautiful amenities and surroundings, but for a 5 star, not as friendly as Chateau Eza and I would be a little wary for those who don't speak much/fluent French. Overall enjoyed our stay with location close to beautiful villages and lavendar exploration routes, but next time would look closer to Gordes.

Yelp
A nice terrace and meal. Had fois gras appetizer and it was great! Also had the veal for two but it was undercooked and not the best. Breakfast was free and some selections are good but some are so-so. Great cappuccino! Lovely view. Fantastic wines and Billecart rosé champagne was lovely.

Yelp
Beautiful place, hotel with view on the Luberon, nice bedrooms, nice pool. But hotel capacity is too small. When We arrived, restaurants ( Bistronomique like gastronomique ) were full! We had to take our car again and find a place for eating at 8pm... the spa is probably great but overbooked when we arrived...so a beautiful relais and château where you can't eat and relax...too bad :( Furthermore, The staff was not friendly. So really disappointed...
