Le Masq Hotel La Rochelle

I had to post a review of this hotel as it was nothing short of wonderful. ||Checked in and we headed up to our room, check in was breezy and the lovely lady on reception talked us through where to go, gave us a map, and just so helpful. ||Room 309 was comfortable and well appointed, water fountain outside the room, good air conditioning, bed comfy, tea and coffee making machines in the room too and a safe. ||Bathroom was spacious, very clean and had a deep bath which I loved. ||Wonder down to reception one afternoon for a snack and we ended up chatting with Olivier (hope I spelt that right) who was possibly the manager? Anyway, we got to chatting he recommended wonderful wine, the staff talked us through the cheeses - we were blown away by this level of service for a Best Western. We also were given instructions for a market which we will be exploring next week. ||Check out isn’t until 12! Lovely! ||Would gladly come back here again & again. ||Thanks team for a great stay.

Outstanding service from reception. We weren’t sure of how to enter the car park but the receptionist was very helpful with his instructions. Our room was comfortable, clean and had great air conditioning- definitely needed during the 30 plus temperatures. Again a different receptionist was on hand later to advise us on places to eat and drink. Just loved the friendly vibe of this place. One minor detail - rooms have a bath with a shower, great if you love baths, and the shower had great pressure. If you’re elderly, you might struggle a little, there is a handrail provided. All in all, very impressed and only a short walk into town.

Clean, well equipped, comfortable hotel. BBC channels! Copious breakfasts. Book the underground car park. Quite a big step over into a potentially slippery bath to have a shower. Helpful reception (Oliver & Amandine) The main disadvantage is the 1km walk each way to the best restaurant area (Rue St Jean de Perot.)

We recently spent 4 nights at the Premier Inn Le Masq hotel in La Rochelle, the hotel was spotless and the staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The breakfast was varied and of excellent quality and quantity with great juice selection. We stayed in a Queen Room (21m2) which had a tv with some English channels, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The only negatives were that the air-conditioning was centrally controlled and there was no walk in shower which I found unusual for a 4* hotel. Overall I would highly recommend both the hotel and La Rochelle itself and we will certainly make a return visit.

Super comfy bed, great pillows, very clean room, excellent shower. Staff were excellent; friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast had a great choice and nice relaxed feel to dining room. Very good value for money and highly recommended. We would definitely stay there if back in La Rochelle.

My stay was originally for 1 night and I enjoyed it so much I extended for another night. Service was top notch from the immediate welcoming greeting and every time I interacted with any of the staff whom all treated me as family throughout my stay! I will be staying on my boat in a marina nearby for the next couple of weeks before setting sail and I will definitely return for the breakfast and inviting bar while in town! Beautiful and well appointed hotel. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Tasteful decor and easy enough to find free overnight public patking space outside. Location is prime, just a few minutes walk from downtown La Rochelle. Recommended A+

Fantastic hotel with wonderful staff. Amazing breakfast, great rooms, spotlessly clean, convenient location for station and town centre/old port - and pleasant decor/ambiance. Hard to fault - but a roof terrace bar would be nice.! Full credit to the whole team.
