Le Méridien Barcelona is a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, the service is genuinely lovely - warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. We hosted an offsite there and the catering was well handled, with the team clearly making an effort to accommodate our needs. The central location is also a big win, right in the heart of the city and perfect for getting around. That said, the hotel itself feels noticeably tired. The rooms are extremely dated and look like they haven’t seen a refurbishment in decades. In my room, the wardrobe door wouldn’t close and the heating didn’t work at all. While maintenance did manage to fix the door, the heating issue was never resolved during the stay, which was disappointing. Breakfast was also very average… especially when you’re in Barcelona, a city with such an incredible food scene. To their credit, the team did apologise with chocolates and a bottle of cava, which was a thoughtful gesture. One final heads-up: being so central means you can clearly hear the metro rumbling by. Great location and lovely staff, but the rooms and overall condition really let it down.

Our family recently stayed at Le Méridien Barcelona, and it was the highlight of our trip. Even before we arrived, the hotel coordinated everything perfectly for us. The location is top-tier; it's extremely safe and within walking distance of nearly every major attraction. The rooms were so lovely and cozy that we joked about never wanting to leave! What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every single person we met was incredibly kind and professional. Special shout-outs to Celia Mallada, Oms Amaia, and Eloiza Fernandes for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait to come back to Barcelona and will definitely choose Le Méridien again. Highly recommended!

This hotel is right of La Rambla which is good or bad depending how you see it but I found the location to be ideal for exploring the city. The room I had was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a good working area which I needed to use. The shower had good water pressure and nice malin+goetz products. Breakfast was good, the omelette station was the star for me. Everyone was very helpful. The evening bartender was very nice and indulged my basic Spanish. The coffee station in the lobby made a delicious cappuccino. The fitness center is very small and basic for a large hotel but I was able to use it a couple of times.

Rooms were standard for this upper level Marriott brand of accommodations. Check in was smooth with the front desk agent, Belen, who was kind enough to give pointers about the hotel amenities and places to visit nearby. Location is what makes this hotel key. Very close to many historical sites and decent restaurants. The spa on the 6th floor is a nice touch and free access to all guests to the sauna and steam room is appreciated. Good service, decent hotel. Recommended.

An excellent hotel in a central location. I stayed there for a business meeting. The meeting rooms were great, and the service professional and courteous. Food served during the coffee breaks was aesthetic and plentiful. I can truly say our annual distributors' meeting was a success, in part thanks to this hotel's location. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

As a platinums elite member and a regular at the le meridien global hotel chain, i can say the hotels staff and service is top notch. Chiara was exceptional at the front desk she managed the communication perfectly and executed efficiently. For the first time i didn't need to ask a simple question she covered all the grounds. Thank you Chiara someone needs to promote her.

Excellent hotel in a central and convenient location right on Las Ramblas. I was upgraded to one of the renovated rooms which was lovely. Comfortable bed, shower over the bath tub, and great water pressure. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very good, with lots of choices, including an egg station. My only gripe that I took off 1 star for is that the rooms really need double glazed windows. The noise from antisocial behaviour below in the lane echoes into the room. Most disappointing was the disrespectful behaviour of the taxi drivers who laughed and shouted loudly all night. The hotel should work with the taxi company and police to stop this unnecessary noise.
