Where to Stay in Boston When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"This contemporary four-star hotel offers modern, spacious rooms, a 24-hour gym, a rooftop terrace, and an on-site French restaurant serving elevated traditional cuisine; I found the property immaculate with very comfortable beds and good shower pressure, and it’s within walking distance of Harvard and MIT." - Matthew Kepnes

Very nice, modern hotel. Room was comfortable and spacious and very clean, and bathroom was also clean and quite large but simple (no marble or walk in showers) .||The furniture was basic but very well kept. Plenty of shelf and drawer space. Lots of outlets and ports. Wifi worked fine. I rated it four stars because it did not have the fancy items usually found in a five stars, but that was more than OK with me. ||The higher floor rooms can have a nice view.||The location is also convenient, close to Central Square shops and restaurants and the red line T. Roughly five to seven minutes walk to MIT main buildings.||I didn't get a chance to try out the breakfast restaurant but it looked like it had standard breakfast fare and was not crowded.||All in all, if I had to visit MIT in the future I would definitely consider staying here again.

Front Desk Staff (Nancy Rodriguez and Maria Carter) are the best! Our family and I stayed there early November to celebrate my daughter's wedding nearby. I needed some assistance to sort out the room blocks and welcome bags we needed to distribute. Nancy and Maria were both courteous, helpful and gave us all the assistance we needed throughout the week with our guests. Overall all the hotel staff were wonderful and made our special weekend flawless! Thank you!!

I was fortunate enough to have my wedding here this past weekend. I say "fortunate enough' because it was a perfect day. From the first conversation I had with Ashley Sullivan, each fine detail was attended to and addressed with plenty of time and flexibility like a wedding requires. She handled the entire event with such warm hospitality. I thought I would be anxious on the day of, but Ashley went out of her way to make the day special so I didn't even have to worry about the execution of the event. What a delight during what can be a stressful day. We were greeted by the front desk, who was very cordial, and the great experience continued all the way to check out. After the experience I had and the support and compassion we received from Ashley, I would host any function I have here again. I'm so grateful to her for making it such a smooth experience and I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about the way my wedding went. If you're considering a venue, don't hesitate!

I had a wonderful stay — the room was very clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and I was really impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout my visit. The location was also excellent, making it easy for me to move around the area and explore nearby attractions without any inconvenience. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

We stayed here on 12/27 and think it was maybe the worst hotel experience of our lives. When we arrived, our room was freezing and the heat was off. The thermometer showed it was 56 degrees. We cranked up the heat and went out for a walk. When we came back 2 hours later it was still 56 degrees so they moved us to another room. The other room was also freezing and the heat was off. We did the same thing and went out to dinner after turning up the heat. When we returned the heat was listed at 57 degrees. The front desk offered us a blanket but really we slept with our parkas over us. When we woke up the room was at 55 degrees so we hurriedly left.

Nice hotel, beautiful and spacious suites, good location, great service.|Was very nicely surprised.|Comfortable bed, spacious living room, very friendly service.|Special kudos to Jacob Meyer who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Very professional yet friendly. Jacob definitely contributed to our great experience at that property. Can’t thank him enough. Being a Marriott Titanium, I travel a lot. I don’t often get such exceptional service and it makes the whole difference.|Only complaint, when getting the breakfast buffet, the hotel is charging extra for a cappuccino or espresso which I believe is outrageous. They also wanted to charge me for soft boiled eggs and finally made them as a “favor”… I am sure they can do better there!||All in all, very satisfied with our stay! Will likely be back!

Google
The room was nice enough, although the air conditioning/heating unit was rather loud. They charged a $25/night destination fee, which feels rather insulting. Just increase the hotel price rather than nickel and diming customers, it’s not like it would put them out of line with other nearby hotels. In return for this they gave us $12.50/day of hotel restaurant credit but the breakfast was wildly understaffed when we tried to go and didn’t have any good vegan options, dinner was closed by the time we went back, and we don’t really drink. We ended up not using any of the credit which made it feel more like a ripoff.

Google
This hotel is okay. The location is convenient for going to MIT. The rooms are ok but feel old. What really annoyed us was that they charge a $25/night destination fee (we may not have read the fine print, but we were not aware of it until check in…). They claim that they ‘give it back to you’ by giving you a $12 drink voucher per night. Last time I checked, $12 is quite a bit lower than $25 🙄

Yelp
Came for a one night stay with my partner as a Boston overnight weekend to enjoy shops, food, and activities ~ There is street parking of 2 hours max between 8am-8pm Monday-Saturday. Overnights are allowed as long as you move your car or add to the meter at 8am. The hotel offers garage overnight unlimited in/out access for $25 and overnight with no in/out access for $20. We opted for the overnight street parking since it's free and added 2 hours to our meter via app usage. It was only $4 for 2 hours, so it felt easier. If you plan to stay longer than a one night stay, the garage parking is a better offer because parking is max 2hrs during the day. The area is a college student spot and feels safe. So i felt confident with overnight street parking. Room was a king size which was request and my partner and I were comfy. Hallways are quiet and sound proof. Room has AC and a a simple bathroom with a tub. Light fixtures work and easy to operate and there is outlets near the tv and at the bedsides. There is a water station at the ice room. Room felt and looked clean with no dust and fresh clean air smell. There was a tv and a mini fridge. Bathroom was also clean. Room has carpet and did not have the weird carpet smell most hotels have, which was one of my pet peeves. Our morning breakfast was not included but we were offered credit for breakfast items of $12 which was great for individual items. Water is $5 ish~ a bit on the typical hotel pricy side. Room was solid and provided us our needed necessities.

Yelp
Rating: 3.8 Booked a stay for over the weekend trip to boston. I used chase reward and credit so that i can book with little to no cost. This location was more reasonable compared to others as hotels are very expensive in boston area. We spent most of the day in boston and came in for check in around 9-10pm. Parking situation is tricky the hotel has parking but is pretty expensive. We just found street parking that was 8am-8pm for over night parking and made sure to put money in the meter in the morning through the app The staff were nice and explained hotel amenities well. I guess they take $25 resort fee due to being partnered with Marriott or something which is kind of absurd. They compensated with $12.5 voucher that we can use at their dining/bar. They do take your credit card info for any damages during the stay. They gave us the key card and we used the elevator to get to our room. Our room was on the 5th floor and was relatively nice with standard accommodations. Everything seemed to be clean and refilled. They have refillable glass bottle you can take to get some water and ice. There was some water already on it so we had to wash them just to make sure they are not dirty. We went around the corner from our room to get some water. There were huge ice machine and filtered water machine similar to what you see in gym. Ice machine seemed to be broken and no ice seemed to come out. Water machine was ok. AC seemed to be working well and kept the room cool but was making sounds time to time every time it came on during the night. I did check out the gym as well on the 4th floor. Gym was small but had some cycling machine, treadmills, weights and chairs, ...etc. small but everything worked fine. There were some towels and cups and water as well. I ended up using the voucher at the bar for 2 bottled water and a chocolate croissant which was $15 so i only had to pay $2.5 which was nice but 2 bottle of water for 10 is expensive. Chocolate Croissant and water was ok nothing special. We checked out at 12pm and spend more time in boston. Overall the experience was ok standard hotel with good accommodation. Price is ok for boston area, down side is resort fee, parking, and malfunctioning ice machine.

Yelp
The bed, bedding and pillows at Le Meridien were soooo comfortable. So happy to get a great full night's rest before flying overseas. Hotel was in a safe walkable area of town - central square is very close with restaurants and bars. Easy to get an uber and bop around town, or the red line T is also very close. Liked how big the room was and that it had a mini fridge. Bathroom could def use more counterspace and the shower pressure was kinda low. Hotel doesn't really have a lobby or lounge area and no cafe or convenience shop but these are pretty minor negatives. The staff was courteous and helpful and they will hold your bags for free if needed. Liked the water refill station on the backside of the bar.

Yelp
Worst hotel stay of my entire life. High pitching beeping/ringing inside my room (432) all night which was not resolved with three calls to the front desk. Like being tortured with a dog whistle. When I went to check out at 6:15am because I was completely unable to sleep I was informed that the room was next to an electrical room which was generating the noise. In other words, they put me in a room with a known fault. Was assured by the front desk team that they would issue a refund but when I contacted my third party booking company as requested, Le Meridian dragged their feet for days and tried to resist issuing a refund. NEVER in my life have I received this kind of treatment from a "hospitality" team.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Nice location off of a Main Street with many stores & restaurants. Indicated most recently as a destination Hotel per Marriott. they now have an additional $25 destination fee. Which is not on the website.! Parking is costly upwards of $40 for a lot next-door to the hotel not connected within walking distance . I was given the Peabody suite . It was ok nothing spectacular for the price. Breakfast buffet was good-an omelette station with some fresh fruit and pastries- it came with the room, so I'm not really sure how much it cost. There is a small bar on the first floor - Overall -I would stay here again if it was under $200 a night. Missing the room extras like slippers/robe & room smelling good - The coffee machine was broken & fridge was shoved in an armoire so it was hard to open door/ bed was comfortable. I had a late checkout ( 4pm) and went back to the hotel after lunch and found my room had already been stripped, and the bedsheets were on the floor, and my towels were missing so I was bummed since I wanted to lay down for a quick nap.

Yelp
We took a chance on Le Méridien despite the mixed reviews. Yes, it is advertised as a four-star hotel but as other reviewers mentioned there is no room attendant or luggage carts, so you bring your own bags to the room. I actually prefer to carry my own suitcase so it doesn't bother me, but if you are looking for "first-class" service, this hotel doesn't have those extra touches. I was traveling with an immunocompromised guest so we asked that the room be deep cleaned. They made a special effort which we really appreciated and the room was spotless. The shampoo, soap, and conditioner bottles were topped off and the bathroom sparkled. The bed was a little soft for our liking but very comfortable. We stayed in room 450 and it was at the end of the hall and very quiet. We didn't try the lobby bar or restaurant or room service as we had plenty of options to choose from in the area, tacos, pizza, bar food, bakeries, etc. All in all an excellent stay. We will be making this our go-to hotel when we visit the area again.

Yelp
I'm basing my review off of my full experience here including the use of the meeting facilities. I came here for a work meeting and was here for three days. My room was nice and had everything I needed. The first night I ate at the hotel bar. The food was good and I enjoyed the seasonal martini I had. Our meeting facilities were nice and the staff were great. They provided everything we needed and made sure everything was stocked and cleaned up quickly. The food for our meeting was very good with plenty of snacks and drinks.

Yelp
Big clean rooms! Great location for us! Exactly what I look for when traveling, nice room, as advertised..

Alisa M.

Yelp
No hand soap or bottled water in the room. Hotel is dated & feels very tired and old. For almost $600 a night, way too expensive for the quality of room. Will never stay here again.

Yelp
My husband and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Cambridge and Boston, but this one was one of the best for the price! It is located in a very cool area of Cambridge, a short walk from the T. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with cool and unique decor. We hope to return!

Erica S.

Yelp
The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. That is the only positive. CONS: After we first arrived in our room, we noticed the bottle which was supposed to contain the body soap was totally empty. Okay, not a big deal except it never got refilled the entire time we stayed there; a bit negligent on the housekeeping part. Not only that, but our bathroom light didn't work properly. The entire time we were there, the bathroom light would nonstop flicker while it was on. Extremely annoying and made my eyes hurt. Oh, and the power went out during our stay. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting in darkness while writing this. Not sure when the power will be back on but I hope it's soon! It has been over an hour and our building is the only one affected. Considering the hefty price tag on this hotel- it is not worth it. Too many issues for too expensive a price. There are better places!

Yelp
Had a great 4 day stay. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, everything we needed from early checkin to extra towels, down to silverware they provided for us no issue. My boyfriend ordered me flowers to the hotel and when we checked in 3 hours early they were already in our room. I thought that was amazing. Rooms are a great size. The beds and pillows were a bit too soft for us we both had back/neck and hip issues each day but other than that everything was great. Bar is very expensive downstairs. $28 for henny and coke! Only one elevator was working while we were staying. Food in the area is ok. Very convenient location. Got the room for a great price thru Expedia.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed. Booked Le Meridien for a work trip as they are the "preferred hotel" for the company, which would make you think they would be more accommodating. They are not. I prepaid for a room and they did not have the room I paid for available because they "oversold" them. Not sure how that would be the customers problem. They did not offer anything to make up for it, nor did they even apologize for it, instead the woman at the front desk had an attitude and rushed to disconnect. Have an upcoming stay here in a month and going to see about changing hotels.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
We needed to find a hotel close to MIT since we didn't plan to rent a car. Le Meridien fit the bill perfectly. Our room was fine and the hotel was tucked away from the main, busy road. Best of all, there were many restaurants, stores, breakfast places etc. just an easy walk away. We had one day to spend in Boston, and I believe an Uber into the North End cost about $15. Not too bad! So overall, Le Meridien was the perfect hotel for our needs.

Yelp
I stayed for three nights. The location is pretty central and everything was pretty good. I got a coupon for the breakfast buffet so I took advantage of that. It includes things like fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, breakfast meats, potatoes, egg French toast (not custardy), and various breads and pastries. You can also order omelettes or pancakes and it comes with coffee/tea and/or orange juice. Service there is fairly decent but you usually have to wait a bit until you find someone who'll take your order. Also, they tend not to listen. Both mornings, they sort of suggested an omelette for me, not that I'm opposed but I had wanted pancakes and an omelette the second time. He literally told me he'd make me a vegetable omelette and then immediately walked off to do just that. I gave up. The room was shared with my husband. It was pretty roomy and the bathroom was nice. We had a door connecting to the neighboring room and that in addition to the main door had minimal protection against noise. Basically, I hope your neighbors are quiet, otherwise you'll hear everything. The first night, our neighbors were Chinese. The second and third, they were rambunctious teenagers on some trip. We decided to put up the little sign on the door opting out of getting our towels and linens changed the first night. The second night, I took it back; the bathroom gets a bit crowded when you have used towels lying about. Funny enough, our room was never cleaned the entire three nights we were there. One plus: we did get complimentary bottled water and you can ask for more at the front desk like we had to. We were going to another city after Boston and later that night, I discovered at the new hotel that I had left my laptop charger in the room. I called and the person at the front desk said to call between 8 and 4 and ask for housekeeping because he couldn't help me. I called the next day between the specified hours and no one picked up so I left a message. I gave them a couple of days and yet nothing. Staff seems to do just the bare minimum or what they want. The bottom line: - Good location (next to MIT, 10 minute walk to nearest subway stop, ~$20 for Uber from the airport, ~$17 to Uber to South Station) - Tons of vegetarian/vegan places within walking dustabce (I'm a vegetarian) - Pretty decent breakfast buffet - Staff could be a lot more helpful

Yelp
Ever have a piece of candy dangled in front of you to only have it obnoxiously and embarrassingly snatched back? That was my check in experience on Saturday. I used a TON of points for 2 nights here and didn't actually get the room that I booked. I booked a king suite but was told that "I was upgraded" for being a "titanium" member to a king suite (even though that's what my reservation already reflected). I was told that the room is REALLY nice and I'm going to love it. Ok...fine. Oh...but the room isn't ready yet. Well..ok.... We were heading downtown to spend the evening with friends...so we started discussions around storing our backpacks and just heading to the train..... But then we were told that the King suite was not actually available. Oh. Ok. Instead of arguing, I agreed to the double queen "suite". This room is located next to the gym and the housekeeping storage room. Any thoughts of sleeping in....don't even consider it. Buzzing, doors slamming, loud conversations and constant activity in the morning is your reward in room 406. It's also a room with an adjoining door....a huge pet peeve of mine. Oh...and it's an accessible room. I'm generally not fond of those, either, but I'm also sensitive to those that might actually need a good design (should they be in a wheelchair or require physical access to a shower, closet...etc.). I have several friends and family that do need accessible rooms. A wheelchair will not fit between the wall and one of the beds. The bathroom has a tub...it's fairly low, but this "suite"is: a) not accessible b) not a suite c) noisy as hell d) not what my room was supposed to be. A few other things: towels are not as luxurious as one would expect from a higher end hotel. Kinda flimsy. There is one robe available. There are two beds in this room. Plumbing is an issue as well. Toilet flushes if the handle is pressed just right and the moon/stars are in alignment. The shower hardware was installed backwards...so hot is cold...cold is hot. Cheap motel issues. 1 Star is for the friendly housekeeping staff that we encountered and the other is for a comfortable bed. I want my points back.

Family T.

Yelp
This hotel is dated. The fact that any brand marketing themselves as "upscale" still has step in tubs and carpeting concerns me. When I walk in to a carpeted hotel room, I immediately wonder if they're exposing me to bedbug risk. In addition, the cleaners entered my room twice on my first morning while I was in the bathroom even though I wasn't scheduled to check out. Finally, my primary grievance has to do with a policy they have about changes. I had two rates available when I reserved my room for three nights - a "non refundable rate" and a "member flex rate." I reserved three nights. The day before arrival, I needed to cancel the third night. They informed me that the "member flex rate" didn't allow any changes within 48 hours of arrival - at the time, I believe I was contacting them 40 hours before arrival and still had the three nights advance notice before the night i needed to cancel. So, they still charged me for an unused night even though, as late as 7PM last night, they still had rooms available (that is, no one was turned away because of my reservation....they just gigged me because they could). The absurdity of this approach makes me wonder how it would have been different if i simply booked three nights in three separate reservations...which may make more sense in the future because I wouldn't be penalized for changes as I was. This kind of treatment and intransigence is something I expect from low end brands and not a facility affiliated with Marriott. I spoke with two assistant managers to no avail.

Yelp
I don't give very many hotels 5-stars - you can say my standards are high or it's just hard to come by a good one these days...! But this one totally deserved it! When you park with them, they'll find your room number later and automatically charge it to the room. The staff was cheerful and extremely helpful! The junior suite was a decent size and I know SPG markets their Heavenly Beds at Westins, but I much preferred the ones here! The location was great too - close to everything but not in the midst of it.

Yelp
We stayed here for 1 night this week and had some great service. The front staff was able to accommodate a late check out of 5pm, since we had some special circumstances. Thank goodness!!! they have a nice courtyard on the 3rd floor too. Perfect bed and almost felt like it was a W Hotel. Would recommend for those staying in Cambridge!

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location. Very easy access to drive to. I attended this hotel for a business meeting. The ball room area was suitable for our needs. Lunch was provided for our meetings in containers. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Win for the strawberry shortcake dessert. They serve Pepsi products so beware Coca-Cola fans. My room was on the seventh floor and near the elevators. Room was clean and remote was in a plastic bag (assuming Covid protocol). Air conditioning goes down to 65-degrees F and was only able to use the fan on low or auto. I like a cold breezy room. There was a water sound that would come and go but soon tuned it out. Bed was very comfortable and pillows were like clouds. I am a stickler for cleanliness and noticed a sticker from the shampoo stuck on the wall of the shower. I would say it deserves a 4.5-star if I could do that on here.

Yelp
Not worth the price. No room service, and just spent 40+ minutes waiting for soup at the lobby restaurant. Location is convenient for business. Rooms are OK.

Yelp
Super classy, great customer service. Weird elevator music. You're getting what you paid for here, and that's a lot on both ends.

Yelp
When investigating hotels for a trip to Boston, I generally found them to be pretty pricey; I found the Le Meridien in Cambridge to fit an acceptable-to-me price range. While this hotel wasn't big or fancy, the common areas and our guest room was clean. That's my biggest priority in a hotel, and I felt very comfortable with the level of cleanliness. As a map would suggest, it was really close to Boston. Uber and Lyft rides were extremely reasonable the duration of the stay. I believe the T was close, but you really can't beat $4/$5 car service. Thanks to the directions from the front desk, I was even able to go for a run into Boston around the Esplanade. It's that close to Boston. Speaking of close, there were a handful of good spots right out the door. I'd definitely recommend nearby Café Luna for brunch and Cinderella's for a beer. The hotel gym was small, but did the trick. It was clean and the equipment was modern enough. Easy check-in and out experience as well. They held our bags for us after we checked out so we could explore Boston for a few more hours. Everyone at the front desk was professional and friendly. While not in the heart of Boston, I heart the price-tag and had a good experience.

Yelp
Stayed one night here on my recent trip back home to Boston. The location is perfect. A short walk from the Ctrl Sq Tstop. If you are a runner (or even like walks) being close to the Charles River is absolutely wonderful. When I lived in Boston I always loved running on the Cambridge side with the view of Boston across the way. Having a supermarket next door is also very convenient. I had a quiet room on the 7th floor. The main part of the room was pretty nice but the bathroom was clearly dated. It is also a bit disappointing to see a gigantic hair on the toilet seat when I arrived-- not for the hair but for the fact that if they missed this other parts of the bathroom were likely not cleaned. On the plus side, staff were super friendly to me. Everyone I met said hello and asked if i needed help. I also ate breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. They have a simple buffet which was small but sufficient.

Yelp
Review of My stay at this four-star hotel in Cambridge Massachusetts approximately 1000 feet from the Central Square train station on the redline. My Sunday night stay was very nice. My room on the fifth floor overlooking the front of the hotel and Sydney Street was adequate it was clean and nice amenities and some very nice furnishings I thought comfortable chairs the only downside to me was the TV it was a little small and on the cheap side I thought and the cable selection very limited in my opinion. The hotel and the street it's on are very nice and quiet tucked away from the utter chaos that is Central Square Mass Ave., Cambridge. This section of Central Sq is Kind of a sketchy neighborhood, even during the day. Some police presence but at night it's not as nice. A lot of nefarious looking characters, Constant requests for spare change (And that's fine I give when I can) I'm just making an observation for the purposes of this review some visitors who may wish to stay at this hotel and are not familiar with Cambridge and the surrounding Central Square area May find this information helpful I'm not judging. With that said, The unlimited variety of multicultural restaurants and shops available along this stretch of mass Avenue is quite impressive actually. The only other place I've ever felt this kind of controlled chaos and multi cultural diversity is when I'm in Manhattan near Hell's Kitchen/Chelsea area. Lots of live music lots of food A great used record store called cheapo records I found an old vinyl copy of a James Taylor album I haven't seen in 30 years. There's also department store Whole Foods is nearby and of course the ubiquitous Starbucks coffee. Ordinarily I would've given this hotel a four star rating but they lose a star because of it's proximity to the neighborhood it's in now granted it's right next to the Massachusetts Institute of technology prestigious in it's own right however like I said sketchy neighborhood single ladies would do well to be aware at night after dark.

Yelp
I have stayed many times in the last few years and always have a good experience. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. The entire staff has been wonderful - and I have to call out a few people specifically: At the front desk: Frank and Maria are my heroes - and their manager Mark is a lovely human as well. I am grateful for all their help over the years whenever I needed anything. Thanks!

Yelp
We had a great stay at this hotel for our mini getaway for 3 nights. If you are taking the bus from NYC, they drop you off at North Quincy T station, so take the red line from there to either Kendall (8stops) or Central (9stops) station and walk about 10 mins to the hotel. There are CVS and Walgreens near the central station. Walking towards the hotel on Massachusetts avenue, you'll see restaurants, bars, h-mart (Korean supermarket), Mcd and other cafes and bar. The hotel is attached to a supermarket which is again super convenient. There is a budget next door for car rental as well. The hotel check in is fuss free and their lobby and lounge area is so modern and spacious. There is a restaurant on site if interested. There is a few bars nearby for drinks, we went to the science bar and Toscanini for ice cream and flour cafe for coffee. The room was spacious and comfortable for us two. WiFi is strong and free all over the building and there is a fitness center with the usual treadmill, elliptical, bike and weights. Overall, we had a great stay and didn't pay too much for the 3nights, which was awesome!!

Yelp
My friend was visiting from California. This was the hotel she was placed for a medical study. Located about two blocks away from the Central Square Red Line stop this boutique style hotel was so cute and the décor was very Art Deco. Nestled on Sidney Street this hotel is steps away from some great restaurants and had awesome views of Cambridge and Boston. Close to area shopping as well. Very chic bar located off the lobby. The staff was nice and easy pick up and drop off for ride shares, etc. As a life long Boston resident I would recommend this hotel to any tourist, etc. coming to see the city. I am not sure about the parking situation as I took the train to hotel. The lobby and my friend's room were very clean.

Yelp
We booked several rooms for 3 nights . One suit could hear people's talking through the wall . I could not go back to sleep today after 4am . I can hear very clearly the sound of flushing the toilet from another rooms . Now is 7am , i wish I could have an hour sleep . Concierge is friendly . Room is clean , bathroom is old . Breakfast has very limited choices . That all are not a big deal ! We have 3 people were blocked in elevator for half hour!!!

Yelp
GREAT customer service here at this hotel. The front desk staff (Thanks Maria & staff) are super friendly and able to help with any request (within reason). I checked into the hotel and asked for a room that was away from the elevator and exit doors. They accommodated my request and gave me a great room. The rooms are very contemporary-designed with a lot of space. Everything here looks pretty clean and well kept. The gym here is nice (and no charge!). They have three stairmasters, three treadmills, an all-function nautilus free-weight machine, and free weights from 5 lbs - 50 lbs dumbells. It's open 24 hours a day, so you can work out whenever you want! Be sure to ask the front desk on restaurant suggestions. They provide you with a list of 10+ restaurants and its descriptions.

Yelp
5 star hotel, the best place to stay in all of Cambridge... then again, it was the only place I've stayed at in Cambridge. Le Meridien is nothing short of classy, elegant, modern, comfortable, and accommodating. It's the kind of place that you don't know if the staff is all a bunch of douches or being helpful. Personally the front desk guy looked like a douche to me but whatever. We partied like rock stars for a night!! They didn't complain about the noise coming from our room or my craziness running down the hallways trying to find the ice room. The rooms are tripped out, complete with textured wall paper (it felt really cool, that is from what I remember), furniture was comfortable, and the tub was huge. Before I incriminate myself anymore, I'll just say great hotel worth every penny.

Yelp
Overall, our experience with this hotel was not good. We had recently stayed at the Le Meridien in Columbus and loved our stay with them. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and attractive, and the attached restaurant was excellent. The stay in Cambridge, however, started badly and ended up tainting the entire experience. Nine months ago, we reserved two deluxe rooms with two queen beds in each. Just before arriving we were told they could not give the rooms we reserved but would provide roll away beds. After paying almost $3000 for the two nights, we demanded they find the rooms promised. After several phone calls to several people, and and much time on the phone, they did come through and provide us with the rooms we reserved. The rooms were clean but I would not stay here in the future. Finally, I would avoid the attached restaurant. The prices were high and the food was cold.

Yelp
It's been a while since I have stayed at this place. And after spending 5 minutes in the room I remember why. The rooms are small, smaller than the Sheraton or Westin right across the river. The AC units are ridiculously loud. To the point where I have to turn it off so it's not distracting. Normally I would say this is the particular room I got, but I have stayed here before and it's always the same issue with all the rooms. This time I didn't get a corner room... try to get one if you can... otherwise you will be VERY aware of when someone is taking a shower or using the bathroom in the room next to yours. I don't know who's bright idea it was to lay out the rooms this way, usually hotels try to mirror rooms so that the bathrooms are sharing a wall... not this place, the bathroom next door was right next to my TV... had to turn up the volume really high to drown out the noise from the pipes. Also, if you are Starwood Platinum, don't expect much perks here... they dont offer free breakfast or any sort of lounge. I would recommend staying at the Sheraton across the river (about 1 mile), lots more to offer and they recently updated most of the rooms.

Yelp
My husband and I were dislocated due to a fire in our apartment building. The Red Cross referred us to this nearby hotel, which agreed to offer us the Red Cross rate of $139/night. After 5 nights we were charged for almost $1500!!! They were extremely rude, and said that they do not recall any conversation with the Red Cross. What kind of scum can behave like that with people facing disaster! Vote with your dollars and choose a better place to spend your money in.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever!!!!! I booked a room for a funeral.  After realizing the time of the service I tried to change the room from Saturday to Friday to accommodate my travel but the hotel was completely unwilling to do so since it was a nonrefundable room.  Their lack of flexibility and compassion by Naomi M the revenue manager and the Le Meridien corporation is disheartening.

Yelp
Stayed three nights whilst setting up our apartment, comfortable room with great bathroom, TV, fridge & tea/coffee maker. Very modern hotel, nice bar area, friendly and we weren't disturbed by traffic (7th floor room). Breakfast seemed pricey, $27 for buffet, so we skipped it. Nice location, walkable to shops and the T.

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Kudos to Frank, who provided us guidance on parking. Our room was clean and well appointed. It is obvious that this hotel is careful during this pandemic. I feel very cared for and safe.

Yelp
Was put up here by MIT as part of a conference. Suite was very nicely laid out, although the minibar items were ridiculously priced (even for a minibar). Something like $10 for a tiny can of nuts. Bed was wonderful (except that I never wanted to exit it in the morning, which was something of an issue). I will say that their workout room was surprisingly basic for such a nice hotel. They give you the option of paying $8 to go to a gym one block away called VIM, but that gym had about the same equipment as the hotel's exercise room -- just in a bigger space. Definitely not worth the $8. Nearby restaurant recommendation: Craigie on Main. EXCELLENT and innovative drinks. Right around the corner. Also, had breakfast at the Asgard, around the corner, and the food was good and the bartender efficient and funny as hell.

Yelp
My husband bought this Groupon deal which offered Le Meridien as a location to stay while visiting Boston. We checked in here on a Sunday afternoon and Tyler (I think that was his name) was extremely helpful and friendly with any questions we had about the location. The hotel itself is very clean and the restaurant located in the lobby is a plus for those who don't wanna walk around. The hotel location is right off Mass Ave which holds a lot of small shops such as Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Walgreena, CVS, etc. Its definitely a very college-y feel in Cambridge because it is near MIT. There are a lot of college students around The area, so if you're trying to stay away from that, I don't suggest this hotel. There are also a variety of bars and restaurants around the area so it's perfect to get around using their public transportation I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area for its cleanliness, great bar hops, and restaurants.

Yelp
I would highly not recommend you stay at Le Meridian in Cambridge. Their accounting team is incompetent. They gave me 2 different invoices with very different totals amounts for my stay at the hotel and then could not explain the difference. When I asked what the actual amount for my stay should be, they told me that they had made a mistake and that they DIDN'T CHARGE ME ENOUGH (!!!) and that they'd have to adjust the charge on my card to an amount even higher than the first two invoices. If you want to have your money taken away from you for now reason whatsoever, feel free to stay here.

Yelp
This past May our daughter's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and Breakfast Brunch were held at LeMeridien Boston Cambridge. Most of our out-of-town guests stayed at the hotel as well. We could not have been happier with this beautiful, recently redecorated hotel. The rooms were stunning and the beds, bedding and pillows were heavenly! The guests raved about the food and atmosphere at the Rehearsal Dinner on the Roof Garden. It was perfect in every way! And the Breakfast Buffet on Sunday morning was the perfect finishing touch for the most lovely weekend! But it was the people we worked with, at every level, who went above and beyond to make sure this weekend went off without a hitch! Angela, you are the ultimate Wedding Planner. You know how special you are to us - we could not have done this without you. You anticipated our every need & want, even before we did; you were instrumental in making the entire weekend a magical event and we cannot thank you enough! Everybody was so friendly and helpful, from the bellman who greeted us when we arrived to the front desk clerks to the catering managers and waiters. Every employee we came in contact with made us feel so welcome. I truly cannot say enough about this hotel and the people who make it such a special place to stay! If you're looking for a hotel for a business function, a wedding, or simply for a weekend getaway, do yourself a favor and make Le Meridien Boston Cambridge your destination. I think you'll be as thrilled with the LM experience as we were!!

Yelp
Ughhh. This hotel experience started off okay. No issues upon check-in. The room was a nice size and the bed was decent. The view was also okay. What was absolutely disgusting was wiping my face off after a nice hot shower and opening my eyes to find crusted feces on the towel!!! I called the front desk and housekeeping refreshed my linens quickly. They also gave me a dozen or so bottles of toiletries. I contacted the corporate office regarding my experience and, in case you were wondering, wiping your face in dried feces is worth 20,000 points in their rewards program but only if you are a member. Needless to say, I would avoid this place.

Yelp
I had an excellent stay at this Le Meridien. I stayed here for business and was worried about getting a good nights sleep at a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised and slept wonderfully. The beds here are comfortable and warm. I didn't want to get up in the morning! I found the room specious, clean and quiet. The hotel is beautiful, modern and is in a prime location with walking distance to Central Square shops, restaurants and the Red Line. I'd happily stay at this hotel again!

Yelp
Le Meridien is a very nice hotel that's close to the T and to bars, restaurants and other shops. It's modern and has a restaurant attached to it. You need a key to get up the elevator, which is kind of a pain, but good for security. I got lost in the hallways a few times trying to get to and from the elevators, but that could just be because I have a poor sense of direction (or maybe it's confusing - hard to tell). The room was clean and comfortable with great views. I could see a pretty courtyard attached to the hotel as well as some of the Boston skyline. The internet is complimentary, which is so convenient, and there are many snacks in the fridge and out of the fridge (watch out for the $4 bag of m&m's). The bathroom is updated, but I had trouble getting the drain stopper in the shower to stay up so I wasn't taking a bath at the same time as taking a shower. That was a pain - I had to keep unplugging it during my shower. Their shampoo, conditioner and lotion smelled nice, but I was disappointed that they provided bar soap instead of body wash. This is the 21st century! Haven't you seen the Dove commercials, Le Meridien?

Yelp
I booked one night they rejected my check in because I wasnt 21. Have never seen a hotel do that and this is a terrible experience for me and my friend that went here for a concert. Dont recommend if you are not 21 or dont have someone who is. I am 20 and a few months till im 21 and its ridiculous that this even happened.

Yelp
Le Meridien Hotel is a great place to stay. The staff was very kind and friendly when we first arrived. From the bell hop to the General Manager, we were greeted with a smile. Heck, we were tourists! They transformed our deer in headlights look to relaxed, calmed, and collected. The rooms are average sized. They were very clean! It was also very safe. I was running late and had to leave out all my jewelry and expensive toiletries. Not a thing was missing after the turnover service was through with our room. For us ladies, that makes a big difference! You can't have your expensive EYE CREAM missing! hahah It was just a few small blocks away from the T. Literally a block away from MIT. If you don't mind the walk over the Cambridge bridge it's actually a nice walk to the main part of Boston. I'm really enjoyed my stay here, Thanks.

Yelp
This is a great hotel to stay at! All hotels in Boston seem to be expensive, so this wasn't bad at all for the price. It's close to the stop on the T, which my husband and I were thrilled with. We got the breakfast brunch with our rooms. It is pretty good-- if you walk in late, don't forget to ask for eggs. It's included, but they aren't laid out, so you might miss them. Our room was nice and clean-- and I'm a germophobe, so that's saying something! :)
