Le Méridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa

The Le Meridien is a relatively modern hotel in a beautiful beachfront location. We particularly enjoyed the rooms, which are well-designed and very spacious. Also, the staff deserves a special mention – they were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. ​Breakfast offers a wide variety, though we found the main dining hall and terrace to be quite noisy with noticeable food smells. We highly recommend using the separate 'Adults Only' area for a more relaxed start. The hotel bars offer a good selection; prices are standard for a resort of this class (okay during Happy Hour), but still high compared to local Thai standards. Significantly cheaper alternatives are available at the private beach bars just a few meters away. ​However, our 3-night stay was significantly impacted by a large wedding. While we understand that hotels host weddings and we wish the couple all the best, the execution here was disappointing. We only received a letter detailing the massive schedule of closures (affecting Pool 2, Beach Grill, Coconut Jo's, and other areas) on 30th January – despite the wedding festivities actually starting on 29th January. ​Being informed after restrictions have already begun is unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. The wedding felt omnipresent: Loud music played until late in the evening, and with so many blocked-off areas, it felt like we were bystanders at someone else's party rather than guests at a relaxing resort. ​For this reason, we unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel to travelers seeking complete relaxation.

I stayed at Le Méridien Khao Lak for three nights, and it was an excellent place to truly relax. The resort is very peaceful and quiet, making it perfect for a restful getaway. All the staff were extremely friendly and always greeted us with warm smiles. The room and overall resort facilities were well maintained and comfortable. In addition to the activity areas and kids’ club, the resort offers many things to enjoy for both adults and children. There are three swimming pools, and there were always plenty of beach chairs available, so it never felt crowded. Most of the food at the resort’s restaurants was delicious, and the atmosphere was also very pleasant. The only downside was that when there was a wedding event held at the resort, it could become a bit noisy, especially around the breakfast restaurant, which felt crowded and hectic at times. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend this resort for a relaxing vacation.

We are a family of four and had the pleasure of staying at Le Méridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa for two weeks, from mid-December 2025 through to the end of the year. We absolutely loved our stay. From the moment we arrived, the management and staff went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable. It was the Christmas period, and the entire resort had such a cheerful and festive atmosphere, which made the holiday even more special for our family. The breakfasts were delicious with a great variety each day. During our stay, we tried all of the restaurants in the resort and genuinely enjoyed every one of them. We also ordered room service several times, the service was fast, professional, and the food was absolutely amazing every single time. What we appreciated most was the relaxed and peaceful tone of the whole resort. It is incredibly comforting and perfect for families who want to escape the craziness of big towns and simply unwind together. We left with beautiful memories and would happily return again.

We stayed in Le Meridian for 7 nights as part of a Tui Multi Centre Holiday. From the very start of the trip the staff were very helpful and welcoming, explaining all the food options, entertainment and activities. There were many pools to relax in as well as the private hotel beach where they had water sports available. We learnt how to paddleboard whilst staying here which was great fun! Norn, a waitress from the Pizzeria was excellent! Norn remembered our order from previous visits and took great care in explaining the gluten free options for me, along with recommending places for us to visit during our onwards trip to Phuket. Aside from the pizzeria, there was a great selection of food throughout the day and everything tasted very fresh. One of the highlights was the evening bbq on the beach front, overlooking the sunset by Coconut Joe’s. The rooms were well maintained with a modern interior. We loved watching all the wildlife around the resort, from lizards, to birds and fish in the sea. We would definitely stay here again. A very memorable holiday!

We stayed here for 10 nights in early December and would definitely stay again. There were 3 weddings held during our stay but we were not disrupted at all. Some areas were closed off but not for too long and it was lovely to see the decorations. Noise was kept to a minimum and we didn’t notice it once inside our room. The staff absolutely make the hotel, from the bar staff to housekeeping, everyone was amazing. We got engaged whilst on our last day and the hotel decorated our room and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room when we returned from our day out! Location is a bit far out however there are a lot of bars, restaurants and a few shops in walking distance. The reception staff were more than happy to help us with making any plans/booking taxis and ensuring we had the best time. Breakfast was possibly the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been dreaming about the caramel banana since I came home.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Méridien Khao Lak. The room was very spacious, clean and modern with great amenities. The breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of choice and varied tasty options each day. There were plenty of activities to do throughout the day and the swimming pools were clean and very welcoming. The staff were very efficient, hardworking and subtly ensured everything ran like clockwork. The resort is beautifully lit and night, ensuring guests can enjoy their evenings outdoors. The hotel has great facilities, including plenty of spaces to relax. Every detail was well thought of to cater for the needs of guests, such as cold water being provided by the beach/ pool, shoes to wear on the beach to protect feet from coral, rubber slippers and bath salts in the room and drink flasks to carry around beverages. I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. Upon arriving i was greeted by 2 staff who were friendly. Check in was fine and the staff also took me to my room. The room was big and clean. The bed and pillow was a little soft for my liking but no complaints. The bathroom was very spacious good lighting but would recommend another rail or 2 to hang towels. I pre booked a romantic dinner on the beach before my arrival. A few emails back and forth I chose the most expensive option out of 3. I chose this option as the set up decorations are the same on there website. With regards to this I recommend le meridien to have a photo of each set up decoration accompanying each package option to make it more clearer for the customer to know exactly what they are receiving. Also during my email communication they said due to bad weather they would move to do this in the beach grill restaurant but have no pictures of the set up. Again with this being a 5 star resort every customer should know what they are receiving with each package. The food was very good but unfortunately I did not receive the live crepe suzette flame presentation as stated in the many email communications Breakfast was ok many options but 2 things I would recommend. Add another table or work area to pour juices from the fridge as this area is too small with people waiting for coffee machine. Also another work table as the cooked food is in front of the order station and everyone just stands there making it very difficult to get food and Unnecessarily congested. Overall I had a good stay and would stay again but I think a few small details would elevate this hotel

We stayed at Le Meridien from 5th Feb till 20th Feb for a two week stay. What can i say..... Such a beautiful hotel, location, friendly staff. The restaurants are amazing, food is really good quality and high standard. The hotel cleaners are amazing. Grounds really clean and beach is beautiful. We really had such an amazing time in a beautiful place. Thankyou all at Hotel. Would definately recommend to anyone.
