We had an excellent stay here. Lovely room and the most amazing beds. The bedding and pillows were the best that we have ever experienced. The Staff were outstanding, particularly Anna Wong in the restaurant, who catered for all of my wife's dietary requirements. Well done Le Meridian we will definitely be back.

from the photos one would have the impression of a modern minimalist hotel/ resort which it is not, however the property does get better with the newly furnished and well kept rooms. the staff are warm and take pride in their service. the hotel is also very centrally situated with access to good restaurants, shops and markets nearby. we had access to the executive lounge which had commanding views of the sea and of course good service... which made all the difference.

Food is above average. Desserts good. Bell boy greeted us. Ambiance is nice. Plenty of seats available. Location is crowded. Just one comments on potential hazard as pic. Others are fine.

This hotel is VERY good. Everything is super close, and the rooms are clean. the buffet is delicious and the orange juice is fresh squeezed. The staff were super nice. A shout out to the ice cream guy! He was very kind and let us sample the ice cream. The room service is pretty good too. Overall, awesome hotel! Coming back again!😄

I booked the city view room, but at the end got a corner room with a view of city, sea and sunset! 🌆 Couldn’t even dreamed about better room😇Room itself is very spacious, bed is huge and very comfortable. I booked without breakfast so can’t not say anything about it. But the hotel is really worth the money. Little downside is there a big night club in front of the hotel and even with good sound isolations you can hear some music beats But it’s mostly on weekends

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu offers an unbeatable location and an amazing overall experience. The highlight of our stay was the incredible view from the club lounge, which made every visit feel special. The drink selection in the lounge was impressive, and the food offerings were sufficient for dinner on some nights. However, the service in the club lounge was slightly disappointing. Some staff members were attentive and provided excellent service, but others seemed distracted, often on their phones, and were chatting loudly, which disrupted the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. This was frustrating given that the club lounge is marketed as a more exclusive, executive experience. That said, the rest of the hotel experience was fantastic, and I would still recommend it to others. If the hotel would like to follow up, I am happy to provide more details about my experience to help improve future stays.

I would like to suggest the club lounge at Le Meridien. A special highlight goes to the staff, Regina, and Peter Nizar, thank you for the wonderful services during 2 hours visit. The environment, food and beverages were exceptional. I love celebrating Christmas at Le Meridien.Details as follows: For room - Adding a coffee machine would enhance the experience. For lobby - I love the environment of Christmas. For services - I love the passion of Regina, Peter Nizar, Regina served few cocktails with explanation. Peter Nizar ensured everything was perfect, demonstrating exceptional attentiveness😁 Truly appreciate service. No doubt, I love it.For Breakfast - There was a wide variety of delicious options, suggest pastry to you all, the sweetness is just right.Overall - 9/10, 1 is for coffee machine 😂

Front desk service is best, friendly with most smiling face, always greeting and friendly chat to customer, bedding matters a bit soft and some spring is not well in condition, but ovell room amenities is good. However, I really wondered why a 5 stars Hotel the restaurant all size plate, bowl, even cups are so so oily, sticky, food mark, stains on almost all pieces of them, I keep on looking for more clean one but sad to said is no one is clean, really very sticky and oily, hope the restaurant can look serious on this matter, I can said I never seen such dirty plate, even I go to 2 or 3 star hotel, the plate is more clean then Le Meridien, but food and beverage is good, I love the service can custome order our favourite fresh fruit juice and coffee

Yelp
The only reason to stay here is if you wish to be in the city area and to see the sunset. The room is old and tired looking but it is clean. It is also spacious compared to newer hotels which tend to have shoebox size rooms. The bathroom is big with separate bath tub and shower. It is a comfortable room and good for a 4 night stay. The service is good as with most major chain hotels. The location is convenient as it faces the harbor and the seafood market and is within walking distance to the Sunday market area. You can also walk to the jetty to get on the boat for island hopping (Tunku Abdul Rahman Park). We only ate once in the hotel for a buffet dinner and it was actually decent food. I liked how the grilled seafood, meat, vegetables and pasta were made to order. Unlike in Singapore where dining out in hotel's restaurants (or anywhere else) was a national pastime, there were less than 10 tables occupied when we were there. Maybe it was a week night and people mostly eat out on weekends? We managed to get a room with a partial view of the harbor and that was cool. We had a view of the street where it would become a pasar malam. That was also when we discovered we could actually spot our room and others, especially if lights were turned on at night and the curtains were not drawn. After that, we made sure to always draw our curtains shut when we went out. Hang by the pool which is a good size and wait for the sun to set. It was breathtaking and perfect place to chill with a cocktail. I would stay here again. The only drawback would be it was nowhere near any beach unlike Shangri-La at Tanjong Aru and the like.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotel stays so far on a 3 week trip in Malaysia and the Philippines. The hotel has been recently remodeled, so the lobby, pool and common areas are looking very nice. The lobby bathrooms were immaculate. The pool area was very clean and swanky and offers an ocean view. The room we got was ocean view, 11th floor and it was awesome!! Huge room, mini fridge, all the expected bathroom amenities (razor, q-tips, nice shampoo/ conditioner/ shower gel). The tv got lots of channels, including showtime. The bed was a bit hard and old school, and the room decor could use an update, but it was still very nice and clean. The location is great- waterfront, central, and close to everything. We got club level access so we ate breakfast and afternoon snacks there. They will make omelettes to order, fresh squeezed juice and premium coffee drinks for you upon request. The food offered each day was different and delightful. Fresh baked breads, muffins, croissants. Smoked salmon! Sausages and baked beans (Brit style), fried noodles with a topping bar, local style. From 5-7pm nightly you get free drinks and appetizers with a sunset view. They offer 3 hot dishes on small plates- lamb, fish, chicken and beef were amongst the offerings. Cheese and Crackers. Desserts, like cheesecake bite. And they have 2 kinds of red and white wine, Johnny Walker black label whiskey, vodka and run with mixers. Tiger and Guinness. The service at this hotel was superb all around. I wish we stayed longer. In retrospect, I'd skip the night we spent in Kundasang to see Mount Kinabalu and just stay another night in KK, and do the park as a day trip.

Yelp
First, the poperty is gorgeous and they're getting ready to renovate the lobby. Once that's done it will be really exceptional. The room product is lovely - recently renovated - and service at the door, bell staff, and front desk are terrific. We stayed a night on each end of our trip into the rain forest; we checked three bags with the bell staff when we left after our first day and the bags were waiting for us in our room when we returned three days later. Rodney - the manager who emailed me prior to our first night to welcome us and see if there was anything special we needed - was exceptional. He made sure we had everything we needed. On our return we had the opportunity to eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The selection was incredible; food was fresh, prepared in small batches. Really a terrific meal.
