"Situated in the Calle Uruguay business district right on Avenida Balboa, Le MéridienPanamaepitomizes contemporary comfort. Done up in warm shades of beige and brown, the 111 rooms and suites feature plush pillow-top bedding and 55" LED televisions. Some even come with whirlpool baths and heavenly ocean views. The Sensory SPA by Clarins offers signature facials, body scrubs, and hydrotherapy treatments, while the 24-hour gym includes treadmills and stationary bikes overlooking the water. The most sublime amenity, however, is the rooftop pool and terrace overlooking Panama Bay. If you’re traveling for business, you’ll be happy to find large work desks in the rooms, plus a business center for printing, faxing, and computer use. While Internet is free for all Starwood Preferred Guests, high-speed Wi-Fi comes at a hefty $15 per day for everyone else."

Solid hotel-a little bit dated but good value for money. Stayed here two nights-Club is under renovation and the gym is currently in a converted room on one of the floors. That said, my room was spacious and clean, the desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, and when I stayed at least the cost of the room was significantly better than any other comparable Marriott property in the city. I’d stay again, but I’d love to see the property get the refresh it deserves!

Our room wasn’t the best since there was construction right in front of the window, and unfortunately, the hotel could only offer a change with an extra fee. That said, I still want to give 5 stars to the amazing staff who made our stay memorable. Everyone treated us very well, especially the breakfast team and Dayana. Dayana was incredible... so helpful, kind, and attentive to me and my wife. God bless you all, service team! You truly make the difference.

Stayed in November 2025, for a pre cruise 3 night break, a very nice hotel in the financial district. All staff are very friendly and always willing to assist. Breakfast is buffet style with option of fresh cooked omelette, this also serves as the bar and restaurant in the evenings, good value prices for drinks and food. Our room on the 3rd floor was very large with good quality toiletries, and comfortable beds ( two king size).|However, there is a distinct smell of old mouldy probably from carpets, and therefore due a change.|Nearby there is a good choice of bar/restaurants, we chose Le Mers which had a great vibe and good drinks, other options are Goucho steakhouse (OK) but not great, and Mangle day time bar/restaurant which is very good |Highly recommend hotel, if staying in Panama for short break

The hotel is very dated. We were on 5th floor hall is filthy and the floor has major issues. Sagging in many places. Our room was ok. The carpet is very old. The rooms are very large and our bathroom was nice. The staff were great. Not sure what’s up with HVAC rooms are ice cold and mildew is very pungent throughout the building

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Le Méridien Panama. I booked a king-bed room for a 3-night stay, and as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member, I expected the room type I reserved and the usual elite benefits. Instead, I was given a room with two double beds and told that a (parking) “view” counted as an upgrade. After being told I would receive a suite at checkin and waiting for nearly two hours, I was just informed it was not in a condition to be offered. No compensation or meaningful gesture was provided considering late check-in, the room type booked not being provided and no elite benefits honored — I was only offered 1 single glass of wine (for 2 guests) after insisting which felt so dismissive that I refused. On top of this, the hotel’s service was consistently poor: housekeeping was unreliable, towels were missing, and basic items like water were not replenished. The 2nd day I was called to say the correct room type was “finally available,” but with a 3-night stay, changing rooms every day is completely unreasonable. Marriott Customer Care and the hotel’s executive team were made aware, yet no action was taken to improve the experience. For a brand like Marriott, this level of service is unacceptable. In Panama, the service standards at Hilton and IHG are far superior to what I experienced here. I will seriously reconsider staying at Marriott properties in the future despite being a Gold member for years !

The hotel needs major renovations - from the floor and carpet to the elevators not working, just a shame this is a marriott chain. ||To start the room floors have carpet that are heavily damaged and floor is not even. You can feel lumps in the floor when walking. The rooms have a humidity issue where they have installed a humidifier in the room. The elevator broke during my stay and i had to walk up 7 flights of stairs. But the worst part of the stay was seeing hair that built up in the shower, nasty.||The positive side was the front desk folks were all friendly, helpful and represented Marriott in a positive way. ||But overall, I am in shock that the hotel is part of the marriott group of hotels. Have never stayed in Marriott hotel with such low standards.

I've stayed at several Marriott hotels, and I thought this one was going to be a great hotel because it's in the capital of Panama, but it was a huge disappointment. I paid for a Diamond room, and it didn't include breakfast. The room was a bit dirty, and the floor had some grime, and it was also sunken. The room didn't have a microwave or room service. The small tub didn't work. At breakfast, the options were limited. I don't think anyone uses the pool because there's construction behind it, and when I went up there at night, everything was turned off and there was nothing to eat. And the traffic omg! If u reserve a ocean view room, prepare to the traffic noise starting at 5 am.The only thing I can say is that I liked the view and the location of the hotel. But I can say that there are other Marriott hotels around the area that are better and more reputable.

Pros|Accomodations/Staff- I loved my stay at Le Meridien! The front staff to include, Timiteo and Gabriel were AMAZING! Please forgive me if I didnt mention other names, just know they were ALL equally accommodating! The front staff acknowledged my fear of elevators and assisted everyday by opening the stairs for me and also giving me a room on the first floor.||Food- The Saril Lounge and Longitudes bar staff were as equally AMAZING. Including Malana, Dyianna, Jose, and Marco. I am sure I talked their head off. Very accommodating! By this measure alone, the 5star status is completely accurate.|The breakfast was good, mostly a mix of American food but it was still good.||The area is perfect, although the main street is busy(Balboa), we were still able to move around easily. The Farmicia directly across the street was my go to most times. Nice local restaurants on the same street and around the area. Very walkable.||The bathroom- Great. I had the jetted tub which I never used. The shower had hot water which was perfect. The shower itself looked really nice esthetically. The toilet seat automatically goes down. Housekeeping cleaned the bathroom everyday with fresh towels.||The room- I had a king bed, city view. Not much to see from the window. The bed slept really good with the puffy comforter and pillows. I could have took that home with me. The room was cleaned everyday as well with fresh linen. This just doesn't really happen in the US.||Con- The carpet through out the property needs to be removed. My allergies every morning was sounding every trigger in my body. The housekeeping use brooms to clean the carpets, Im not sure why, but..... This is a closed in property so it surely has various smells throughout. In the lobby on the way to the bathroom, there could be an opportunity to add possibly Koi fish in the water flowing throughout. This would be an added look to accentuate their 5star status. Im not sure based on their 5star status, the property itself should be in that class. Marriott need to do better. Lastly, it could use modern furniture updates in the rooms and the lobby.||I will return! The bar staff even|sang happy birthday to me. I am very pleased!
