Le Méridien Stuttgart (Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"For a city of its size, Stuttgart has perhaps more need than most for top-notch business accommodations. This is the home of Porsche and Daimler after all, among other auto companies, as well as any number of tech companies and research institutes — and that kind of brain power tends to travel in style." - Tablet Hotels

What an amazing hotel in the heart of Stuttgart! Was really happy to visit this hotel as they made us feel super welcome, very well decorated, and the rooms were beyond my expectations. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have all the amenities you can imagine. I wont make this review too long, but the breakfast has to be highlighted. Superb options and it tops it with a chef preparing your eggs in front of you exactly how you want it. Would recommend it to everyone, thanks again.

We had an amazing stay at the Stuttgart Le Meridien. Sarina, the front desk manager is absolutely wonderful. She made sure that everything was prepared for us and was so accommodating especially as we have children and checked in later in the evening. We also enjoyed the restaurant—the menu had a great selection including German food. The German steak (Rostabraten) was fabulous. The breakfast buffet is impressive with an omelette bar, several fish and cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a large selection. The rooms are a bit outdated but wonderful bed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The gym was great too!

We had a great experience at Le Meridien. Ten minute walk for the Stuttgart central station and about a 20-25 min walk to downtown and shopping area. Very convenient. Service was also excellent. I needed some first aid equipment and they went above and beyond to bring it to us. Breakfast is an elaborate buffet with both European and North American options. The bar was also very accommodating to us having some drinks post Oktoberfest. Overall great experience and would come back.

I stayed for two nights on a recent business trip. The location worked very well for me, and I really appreciated the hotel’s partnership with the Kunstmuseum – the complimentary entry voucher was a thoughtful touch and I enjoyed the visit. They also provide a voucher for a free illy coffee, and the in-room toiletries were high quality. I had both dinner and lunch at the bar and found the bar staff consistently warm, attentive, and professional.||||On the other hand, service at breakfast was noticeably inconsistent and at times outright rude, which took away from the overall experience. As an Ambassador Elite guest, I wasn’t offered an upgrade or any meaningful welcome amenity, and the property doesn’t offer the brand-standard éclair for purchase, which felt like a miss on the Le Méridien brand experience.||||Overall, this is a convenient hotel with some nice touches, but uneven service and limited elite recognition make it hard for me to call it a favorite. I’d be willing to stay again if work brought me back to Stuttgart, but I’d also be open to trying other options in the area.

I recently stayed at Le Méridien, and overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The room was exceptionally clean—almost spotless—which speaks volumes about their housekeeping standards. The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were outstanding throughout my stay, with special recognition to Jacob, whose hospitality truly went above and beyond. The hotel amenities were impressive as well—the pool, spa, and gym were all in great condition and enjoyable to use. The bar was decent, though nothing extraordinary. My main disappointment was the food, which felt quite basic and underwhelming considering the overall quality of the hotel. My room faced the street, so there was a moderate amount of noise, but it remained semi-peaceful and didn’t significantly disrupt my stay. The Wi-Fi was decent and reliable. However, I did find the overall value a bit on the expensive side, particularly the parking fee, which was steep at €30 per day. Despite these minor drawbacks, I would still recommend Le Méridien for its cleanliness, prime location, and exceptional service.

We visited 7 different cities in Germany last week for the Xmas markets. This hotel was by far the best and the staff was outstanding. Julia at the front desk went above and beyond for us, provided all the information we needed for the markets and made reservations for us at a restaurant that when we looked into it was already full but she managed to work her magic and get us a reservation.

I was booked in a room above construction going on at the hotel that started at 8 am interrupting the sleep I was trying to get. Not only was it preventing sleep it was annoying and disruptive to just having a nice relaxing morning. I complained early around 9 am to the front desk and wasn't even offered to be moved to a different room because I wasn't staying an additional night. Additionally the front desk wasn't even aware of the issue that caused need for construction and didn't know this would even be effecting rooms apparently. I was told the side of the hotel I was on was supposed to be the quite side as the other side was facing a public construction site. So I got no good rest since we were up late and couldn't reasonably sleep in.

Google
Ok but no great. I was upgraded to a deluxe room, but I had to practically beg for it (should be offered by default based on Bonvoy status...). The room was ok, but with several little annoyances. The temperature in the shower keeps changing between cold and hot. Peeling wallpaper. Very inconveniently located power sockets for the desk. Sound proofing is good towards the outside, but you hear lots of noises from neighboring rooms. Location is ok, about 15 minutes walk from the main station. Finding your way is tricky with the Stuttgart 21 construction going on (not the hotel's fault of course...).

Yelp
Written in english, from a foreigner perspective. Coffee not readily available after hours. Quick solution, get a coffee morning prior from breakfast and place in fridge for after hours. Chilled latte macchiato for later. Appearance in lobby is executive Gym 24 hours Candy Sweets free Mini bar downstairs $ Stains on carpet Shower instant hot good pressure Peppermint shampoo was a delicate surprise to the senses. Towels are really rough to skin. Everything was clean and no unwanted visitors. They offer dry cleaning services. Bed was very firm. Firmest I have ever experienced. It is probably great for someone who has great posture, but for those of us who have horrible posture our entire lives; you will have body limbs fall asleep quicker than you do. Sink is on a corner which makes it difficult to see for a close shave. Curtains offer total blackout. Perfection. Hotel staff speak English for english speaking guests. Spicy chicken sandwich totally recommended. Barbecue sauce and spicy sauce. I don't do spicy ever and it was perfection for me. Comes with fries. Served hot to room. Room service. Television is 99% German language. Only options for english is MTV 50/50% music videos english/german and Hotel advertisement menu. Wifi service worked flawlessly without numerous log ins. Television does not swivel from wall. So if you are using desk, you won't be able to see television as the desk affixed to wall. Variety options for room lighting. Sheets and pillow cases are stiff and not soft.

Yelp
I love this hotel. Check in was very fast and easy. My room was clean and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. And I loved the toiletries. The employees were all very helpful and friendly. And seemed to sincerely want you to have a great stay. The hotel is in a great location. It is super easy to walk into town. There is a large park across the street that is great for a long walk or run. There is even a Biergarten in the park. I look forward to coming back to stay in the future.

Yelp
Hot Box Hotel The hotel while centrally located and clean does not provide appropriate air conditioning. I have stayed at the hotel on 3 occasions. Once in the winter and it was fine. However my last 2 trips one in Nov and the most recent April 2024 lead me to strongly advise against staying here. While the day time temperature was about 69°F (20°C). It was impossible to get the room to less than 23°C. My room was moved and a fan provided. However, the new room equally had no cool air. Hotel either has no A/C or they have it centrally managed to a very high temperature. This is a hot box not a hotel.

Yelp
Very beautiful hotel. Staff at check in were just alright but the staff at the bar were amazing. I was never without a drink and one of them had a heavy wrist. The room was very spacious but the construction out front wasn't the "great city view" one would hope for. The AC was very weak and I couldn't sleep with the window open because of the construction. Overall, it is a great hotel with a lot to offer and close to shopping center!

Yelp
I would give 5 stars for the breakfast buffet. I would give 5 stars just for the coffee. I would give 5 stars for the INCLUDED spa, pool, saunas, showers, and immaculate wellness area (saunas were naked, pools and tub not naked FYI). I would give 5 stars for the abundance of secure, well-lit, clean parking with free in/out privileges. I would give 5 stars for the staff...so helpful, and so kind. I would NOT give 5 stars for the road construction going on, or the fact that almost nothing is walkable around that area right now...but I am sure that will be fixed at some point. That being said...two nights in Stuttgart. We had some amazing Porsche tours, test drives, and lots of touristy auto stuff to do...the Le Meridien was our base of ops for the few days. We loved the stocked up and diverse breakfast. We loved the spa, which was free to use (not sure if it was our Bonvoy status, or what, but I think you normally have to pay $35 euro per day to use it). Any way...it is nice. Lovely indoor pool, big hot tub, multiple saunas and showers and stone warmed day beds in the spa area...awesome to rest up during 2000km of Euro travels and all! Friendly staff, a very well appointed king room. Quiet. We both slept well...it is about a 10 minute drive to Zuffenhausen to the Porsche Zentrum, and maybe 2-3 minutes from Mercedes. Also close to the highways. Everything was easy to find and well thought out. It is after-all Germany...everything is over-engineered and I love it! I would stay here again!

Yelp
Ultra low rate is 100% because of the management.. only other issue is absence of the executive lounge on this property is super disappointing. This hotel literally stole about 128K of Bonvoy points from us with no apology Here is the story, our check-in was supposed to be on April 25th leaving on May4th, few days before the trip, well within cancellation time, we had to change checkout date to 28th (based on the change in the medical trip schedule). I called Marriott on April 22nd, way ahead of the cancellation/change deadline, and first they had a phone system problem when they could not even see the reservation and then, finally ,they told that the early checkout and point release should be done by the property. When we checked on 28th out we were told that management will contact Marriott to give our points back - 128000! This never happened, and Marriott and hotel keeps saying that the other party is responsible. For us these points are super important, we are coming to Germany for the cancer treatment every 6 weeks and stealing these from us makes it more difficult to complete the protocol. Bottom line - good hotel, nice middle-level personnel and totally ignorant management.

Professional staff. Clean and modern rooms. Nice bar and restaurant. Great location downtown.

Yelp
Delicious brunch - well worth the three week wait. We called on a Friday, to get reservations for that Sunday. They were booked that Sunday already, and the next one. We made a reservation for the third Sunday. There were freshly a chucked oysters, perfectly prepared asparagus with Hollandaise, everything I tried was good. I left fulfilled but not stuffed & happy from the Sekt.

Yelp
One of the prime locations we have been using for our princess for one day events since many - and I really mean many! - years. Location, attitude - we always had a stellar experience. I highly recommend this hotel, its restaurants and event facilities.

Yelp
I've been staying at the Le Meridien for two nights now, and I am already extremely impressed. The service here has been above and beyond what I expected. Since my check-in, I have received not one, but two complimentary bottles of wine from the staff. Speaking of the staff, every person I have encountered has been extremely friendly. At check-in, the woman at the front desk explained to me everything about the hotel, the services they offer and other relevant information. Everyone I have met speaks perfect English, as well. My stay includes complimentary internet (normally 19 Euros) and free breakfast each morning. The internet is speedy and the breakfast is excellent. Many choices on the buffet, all delicious. I especially enjoy the hot bar and the fresh, slice-your-own-bread station! I am in a standard king bed room facing the park. It is somewhat small but comfortable, and the design is very fresh and modern. It is a very comfortable room. One thing I find to be a particularly nice is the doorbell in the room. Rather than anticipating a loud knock, they have smartly placed a doorbell outside of each room. I have not seen this in a hotel before, and I think it is brilliant. I also like the proximity sensor room keys, nice touch using the newer technology. I know I'm in Germany, but I wish the TV had a few more English entertainment options like BBC, BBC2, and/or something from America. Even when I was in Ecuador, the hotel television had American NBC and CBS television stations from Miami. If something wasn't in English, the TV had the option to change the language to English, if available. That option would also be a good on on the TVs here at the Meridien. It is not a big deal though, watching programs in German will help me learn the local language. I've stayed in high-end hotels on 4 continents and so far, this one is the best. The friendly staff, the perks, the location, all top-notch!

Yelp
Although there is major construction going on around the hotel, the service has so far been amazing. The bellhop immediately approached us as we pulled up to help with our luggage. They were apologetic when we had to wait to check however they were most gracious and appreciative, upgraded our room and made dinner reservations for us at a local Weinstube.

Yelp
Such a lovely hotel. Service is wonderful, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is outstanding - a live chef, plenty of options for vegetarians, healthy fruit 'shots' upon arrival, coffee for take-away. The spa is very comfortable and I always enjoy dining in their restaurant. My favorite hotel in Stuttgart!

Yelp
I dunno why I keep returning to Le Meridien hotels even if I am never happy with my stay. Here's a summary of what makes even an easy going person like me dissatisfied. Let's start from the fact that Le Meridien is not cheap, so you pay minimum 125 euros a night. Upon reserving, I had asked for quiet room but in order to get a room at the back and not facing the motorway one must pay 20 euros extra. As I got into room 327 I noticed a very disturbing noise, similar to a fire alarm, not as loud, but enough to make you wanna escape the room ASAP. I call up and the receptionist tells me she can even hear it through the phone. At my request to get a new room she starts giggling with her colleagues and laughing on the phone. Felt like she was taking the piss out of me. This simply is NOT the way (serious) customers' concerns are dealt with. Anyway, I go down to the reception and the receptionist announces I'm getting an upgrade from my standard room to an executive suite. I'm like, wow, cool. The executive suite was exactly like my previous room, the bathroom was even smaller. The receptionist afterwards explained that my old room was on the third floor and the new one (453) is on the fourth floor, FOR THE HOTEL that's upgrade. One floor up magically turns the same room, with the same view on the loud motorway, into an executive suite. Guys, I don't expect to be upgraded but if you do upgrade me, pls give me the feeling I'm being upgraded, otherwise I will again have the feeling I'm being taken the piss out of. The staff at the reception were all nice and apologetic on the next day but that doesn't change my overall impression much. The hotel is ok, just like any other of the million business hotels in the world, with no personality. The hotel faces a major and ugly construction site, and even if not far from the main station, it's in a relatively dead area of the city. There's no bars, restaurants (except for those run by the hotel, see separate review) and no shops in the near proximity. As mentioned before, bring earplugs, since even from the noble fourth floor the motorway will trouble your sleep. Probably the last time I'm staying at this chain.

Yelp
We have stayed at a few locations throughout Europe but this is our first in Stuttgart. I would love to give this more stars but I am sticking to my guns. This is not a ratbox hotel, it is a beautiful place, the rooms are spacious and wonderfully decorated. I WISH I COULD ENJOY IT BUT I AM IN THE LOBBY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT OFFER FREE WIFI IN THE ROOMS. We are completing a 2 1/2 week vacation in many cities through France and Germany and EVERYONE of them offered free wifi, even a small Garmisch Hotel. So I find this utterly ridiculous that their lobby look like a 30 Euro hostel and I cannot enjoy the comfort and privacy of my room. I have to listen to about 6 skype conversations. Now, our room reeked of a horrible stench when we walked in. I tried opening the windows but after 2 hours, NO DIFFERENCE! So, they did move us to a different room that didn't smell. However, I'm not totally sure because I am in the LOBBY using the wifi. THERE ARE A TON OF HOTELS WITH FREE WIFI IN YOUR ROOM, BE SMART AND BOOK ONE OF THEM....

Yelp
Great location...Close to the train station, near the shopping street, the Christmas Market in the winter, and across the street from a large park which is nice in the summer. Restaurants scattered around the area. Close to Mercedes, Porsche, Bosch, and Mercedes-Benz Arena Home of VfB German football team. The rooms are comfortable and staff is helpful. This was a nice hotel when it had previously been an InterContinental property. www.starwoodhotels.com

Yelp
Stayed here once so far, giving credit to our awesome staff in Germany who made the reservations. The best of all the hotels I've stayed at in the Stuttgart area by far. From the customer service to the ambiance of the lobby, the food (which is the only reason a star came off, limited late dining availability for such a big hotel), and the room -- fantastic. We had a business meeting there also, wow. The most beautiful presentation I have ever seen, anywhere in the world, complete with a continental breakfast and oh, just like working in your own living room. Except much larger, and a lot more eloquent. I was really sad when it was sold out for the next time, but it just goes to show you how good this place is.

Yelp
This hotel is just fine. decent rooms, good (yet expensive) breakfast buffet, free wifi, good water pressure in the shower. Where the property loses a star with me is with the cleaning staff. The towels in my room were never replenished even when I left towels on the floor as instructed, for a change of the linens. I don't think the floor has been vacuumed in the 7 days that I have been there and I still have 6 more days to go. The other issue is, even though I have one of their designated "quiet" rooms, I can still hear sirens and road noise - in spite of facing the interior courtyard. When I sit in the bar, facing the road, because of the double paned windows, I cannot hear them. Why can I hear them from my room? Would I stay here again? Sure, but I'd much prefer staying at the park Inn - they had cleaner rooms, no road noise AND they are close to shops, a grocery store with a bakery, and restaurants. There is nothing within walking distance of the Le Meridien so you're at the mercy of their restaurants. (on that note, don't order the pizza, it's terrible and their Mojito had so much mint in it I could not stir my drink. I think I pulled an entire mint tree/bush out of my drink - stems/branches included!

Yelp
I get to stay here free and they still suck. Pompous attitude and slow service. Can't take a credit card. Maid smoked in our room and left windows open when we had a pet in the room with notices. Room felt dirty and underwhelming. We were staying 45+ days and they couldn't be bothered to upgrade us. We ended up leaving for stuttgart suites and respectful treatment. Not recommended.

Yelp
My first and last stay at a Starwood hotel. The location was excellent and the rooms were very clean, but the staff was less than courteous in resolving a customer service issue.

Sam S.

Yelp
The hotel was modern and sound proofed, very friendly staff and decent pricing. Got upgraded on arrival which was great. The location of the hotel is a bit further away from the centre but not too far by walking and you can go via the park. Slight issue was the fact that you can't cross the road everywhere, you had to find specific crossings which sometimes meant walking a bit out of the way. Still i would stay there again.
