The meal service was unreasonably slow, with long waits between courses. I arrived at 7:00pm sharp, and by the time dessert was served, it was already 8:52pm. On top of that, the dining area was uncomfortably dark, especially during dinner. Every table had a candle, including ours, placed on a wooden block with a glass cover over it. At one point, because of the long wait, the candle wax had melted so much that the glass cover slid out of place and nearly toppled. I caught it just in time, but in the process burned my fingers. Housekeeping also fell short. Although they cleared our empty water bottles, they did not top them up again on our second night.
While all of the above incidents were disappointing, the spa provided a much better impression. The facilities were clean, calming, and the staff were attentive, which helped redeem the overall visit.
