This is a beautifully appointed inn surrounded by desert. The staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. Dinner is a five course meal each course of which was delicious. A sparkling pool invites one to relax at the end of a day of hiking or sightseeing. The rooms are quite lovely some with balconies and the beds are very comfortable. We would certainly stay there again..

Certainly a beautiful hotel where you see the owrk of great architects. Location in the middle of the desert is also fascinating and next to Sossusvlei. Large room with charming mosquito nets. I would invest in improving the shower head which seemed to belong more to a much more modest hotel. Nice swimming pool, great restaurant. Staff very kind and friendly. Certainly overpriced for Namibia. Modest quad tour in the desert; there was very little to see and, again, price was excessive.

We enjoyed 3 nights at Le Mirage Resort and Spa outside of Sesriem, Namibia. Literally an oasis in the desert. From the moment we arrived we were treated very well. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. The set menu in the dining room in the evenings was superb. The breakfast was also fantastic and lots of choice. Enjoyed the 6pm sundowners around the fire pit and the visit by the local Black Backed Jackal couple.

The meal service was unreasonably slow, with long waits between courses. I arrived at 7:00pm sharp, and by the time dessert was served, it was already 8:52pm. On top of that, the dining area was uncomfortably dark, especially during dinner. Every table had a candle, including ours, placed on a wooden block with a glass cover over it. At one point, because of the long wait, the candle wax had melted so much that the glass cover slid out of place and nearly toppled. I caught it just in time, but in the process burned my fingers. Housekeeping also fell short. Although they cleared our empty water bottles, they did not top them up again on our second night. While all of the above incidents were disappointing, the spa provided a much better impression. The facilities were clean, calming, and the staff were attentive, which helped redeem the overall visit.

A definite place to visit in the dessert. Room was exquisite, designed with flair and creativity all astetics were pleasing to the eye. Attention to detail was astounding. Really good service from all from porter to Maitre 'd. The only disappointment was the Hot Air Balloon flight being cancelled due to bad weather! Bad weather? In the dessert you might ask!!

The hotel is beautiful, the room we stayed in was amazing with a nice terrace. Nothing to complain about location and service but I have one thing that I would like to describe.|We arrived at the lodge and left the car in front of the entrance. We were told to move it to the car park after lunch and after checking in.|Once we had collected the room keys, someone knocked on our door and told us that we had a flat tyre.|We hadn't noticed anything. They helped us change the wheel and immediately afterwards we went to the nearby petrol station in Sessriem. They looked at the tyre for two seconds and told us that it couldn't be repaired but had to be replaced, as we had driven on it al lot.|The next morning, the car next to ours had a flat tyre. I strongly suspect that someone at the lodge slashed it and that the lodge staff are in cahoots with the Sessriem petrol station.

Looking like a bizarre stone fort in the desert, but inside it is truly an oasis with swimming pool and hot tub, set in a lovely garden. We stayed in an oasis room for 2 nights, visiting Sossusvlei during the day. There is a sundown fire pit with drinks, and a separate dining room with waterfall. The food is good. The bedrooms have mosquito nets; beds are v comfortable. Wifi is only around the pool or in the main building.

A fabulous haven in the middle of the desert! Wonderful staff and attention to detail. Took the tour to Sossusvlei with the hotel guide called Hennie Boy. Extremely knowledgeable and we learnt so much. Highly recommend!
