Le Mirage Desert Lodge & Spa

Looking like a bizarre stone fort in the desert, but inside it is truly an oasis with swimming pool and hot tub, set in a lovely garden. We stayed in an oasis room for 2 nights, visiting Sossusvlei during the day. There is a sundown fire pit with drinks, and a separate dining room with waterfall. The food is good. The bedrooms have mosquito nets; beds are v comfortable. Wifi is only around the pool or in the main building.

An amazing lodge in the middle of the desert with really great service and a delicious restaurant. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The restaurant has wonderful options. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We’ve done the quad activity as well as the hot balloon and both were excellent!! The only suggestion I would have is maybe to heat the pool, but I can understand the difficulty to do so. Apart from that, this is a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it!

This has been by far the best experience I’ve had in any hotel/resort I be stayed along the years.||||The fact that you can deliver such amazing premium services in a remote location it’s simply out of this world. The rooms were amazing and we felt like we were in an upgraded home. The food was amazing too! You have a wonderful staff I loved how they treated me and my wife and after a few days it felt like they were family. ||||Please give my regards to Nelson, Dezre (I hope I spelled correctly) and the lady gave us the coordinates for the shorter route to Windhoek

This is a great hotel in the middle of the desert. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The guide (Maria) who took us into the National Park was great. The food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. This was a lovely place to stay. It was a long drive on a lot of bumpy roads but well worth it.

We had an amazing stay at The Mirage Resort & Spa — definitely one of our favorite lodges during our trip to Namibia. The location is perfect, just about 20 minutes from the entrance to Sossusvlei. But beyond the convenience, the setting itself is stunning — nestled in the middle of the desert, with incredible views and a unique atmosphere. The staff were all incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. We truly loved everything about this lodge and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a magical and comfortable stay in the Namib Desert.

Our first night was perfect in our luxury room. The second night the toilet got clogged. One of the staff decided to flush again even though the water level was at the edge and it all reversed everywhere on the floor. We were given a lower quality room just by the reception (noisy from 5 am). We weren't offered any discount, we asked them that at least we could receive back the price difference between the luxury room that we paid and the lower quality one. But they refused. Awful attitude

We stayed at this lodge with our family on 1.05.25. Large rooms, a good dinner and a mediocre lunch. But the worst part is that our cash money was stolen from our safe - 2,000 US dollars and 100 euros. When we reported this to the hotel management, they did nothing more than apologize and promise to conduct an investigation, which led to nothing, since our room (12) was out of camera range. As we later found out, cash thefts regularly occur in this lodge and, I believe, this would not have been possible without the participation of the lodge management. I am sure that this lodge should be blacklisted and deprived of the opportunity to receive tourists!

Our stay at the Mirage Lodge began on a difficult note after a long journey. The initial welcome was disappointing: no assistance with our luggage and an unfriendly receptionist who provided no information about the hotel's services. Fortunately, the situation improved thanks to Nelson, the deputy manager, who, after apologizing, kindly gave us a tour of the hotel. The true strength of this establishment lies in its peaceful atmosphere and the splendor of the surrounding landscapes. However, for a 4-star rated establishment, the quality of service does not meet expected standards, despite the general friendliness of the staff. This classification seems more justified by the exceptional setting than by the services offered. Recommended for its idyllic location, but with reservations regarding the service.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
