Shockingly rude service — unacceptable for Paris, especially the 16th arrondissement.
I stopped by around 11 PM, at a time when the restaurant was still full of guests. I simply wanted to order a glass of wine, and perhaps something to eat if possible. However, I was refused in an extremely rude and dismissive manner.
As a restaurant director myself, I was appalled to witness such a complete lack of hospitality — especially in the 16th arrondissement, where one would expect a minimum of professionalism and class. Offering me a glass of wine to make a good impression would have been effortless. But these people clearly have no concern for their reputation and act like uneducated Neanderthals.
It left a deeply negative impression, and I will absolutely never return. This level of arrogance and ignorance has no place in the restaurant industry — or in Paris.
Just for comparison:
In the restaurant where I work as a director, even when people arrive after service has ended and we are already tired, closing and preparing for the next day, if someone asks for a glass of wine — we offer it for free. We warmly apologize for not being able to welcome them properly at that time, and we always say: “Please come back tomorrow, or whenever is best for you — we’ll be happy to have you.”
That’s how you build loyalty. That’s how people come back.
But to your restaurant, I will never return — not in this life.
