My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this gem of a hotel during our recent 10-day stay in December 2025. There is a certain je ne sais quoi about the hotel which we really like (which perhaps explains why this hotel is one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World), and it is therefore difficult to put it all into words, but we will try.||1. Location: ||Excellent.||First of all, the hotel is located in the 7th arrondissement, which is a pretty good part of Paris to stay (along with the 5th and 6th arrondissements).||Unlike many hotels in Paris, this hotel is located on a relatively wide boulevard (i.e. de la Tour-Maubourg), which in turn means it is pretty easy to load or unload luggage from the car to the hotel's entrance (and vice versa).||What is even more interesting, is despite the hotel's location along the relatively wide boulevard (as mentioned above), traffic along this boulevard was never too busy during our stay. Nor did we experience any congestion whenever we left or returned to the hotel.||The hotel is also located close to several metro stations, i.e. La Tour-Maubourg (Line 8), Invalides (Lines 8 and 13) and Varenne (Line 13). La Tour-Maubourg is by far the most convenient, this was the station that we frequented the most during our stay and it is also a straight walk to the hotel after exiting the station. We also tried Invalides a couple of times, but in the end found that it was quite unnecessary for our purposes. Reason being, Invalides and La Tour-Maubourg are just a stop apart (via Line 8), so taking one further stop to La Tour-Maubourg was in most cases the easiest option (especially when it rains or worse when it rains at night, and you are struggling to find the directions to walk to the hotel).||Notwithstanding the metro stations nearby, we preferred to walk from our hotel to our varied destinations on many occasions. And why not? To the west of the hotel is the Eiffel Tower (and we discovered that along Boulevard La Tour-Maubourg lies a very popular spot for photographers to take a pretty scenic shot of the Eiffel Tower!), right up ahead is the Seine, cross the Seine and you are already close to the Champs-Élysées, the Tuileries Garden, the Lourve and rue Saint-Honoré. To the right of the hotel lies the 6th arrondissement, which is where the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district is located. A little further to the right from Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and you reach Notre-Dame. It really is an incredible location, very close to all major attractions and yet the hotel itself is located on a wide but peaceful and quiet boulevard.||2. Rooms||We stayed in a suite, which was perfectly comfortable and aesthetically very very pleasant. The water pressure in the bathrooms were great, and after returning to the hotel from a tiring day out, we very much appreciate that even the smallest of details are well taken care of. Purezza water is provided in both large and small bottles, and dutifully filled up every day. The only minor gripe that we have is regarding the lack of a kettle in the room, which we very much hope the hotel can consider providing for all rooms in the future. But, all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the room and have no hesitation recommending it to others.||3. Service||The hotel staff are very pleasant and friendly. There is 24h reception at the hotel, so even though we arrived at the hotel close to 11pm, we were still able to check-in with absolutely no problems.|| A special shout-out to the wonderful concierge team, especially Adam and Julien. They are very friendly and helpful, and always willing to lend a helping hand or to provide recommendations as to where to go or where to eat. We also learnt that Adam is currently learning Mandarin Chinese, and that his favourite song is 朋友 by 周华健. In the same vein, there is this Chinese saying "有朋自远方来,不亦乐乎" (Google it!), and Adam and Julien have epitomised this spirit wonderfully. Thank you Adam and Julien for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality.
