Room is very comfortable, with a beautiful view and a great location. The picture shared was taken from the room - You got a full panoramic view of Matera right inside of your room. The stuff there are genuinely friendly and can speak English well, which is very helpful for me who can not speak Italian. They recommended a sightseeing route and few restaurants, all of them are amazing. The hotel comes with a private car park which is very near to the hotel. The hotel is inside of the restrict zone. So you cannot drive to the hotel.

Matera is absolutely a MUST SEE city in Italy and we were lucky to have stayed at Le Origini Suites & Rooms for 3 nights. Saverio, the owner of this boutique hotel was absolutely phenomenal. He shared with us so much history of the city and the hotel as well. We didn't even feel like we were staying at a hotel. Breakfast was unbelievable! I would argue that it was the best breakfast I had staying at a hotel and I don't even usually eat breakfast! The team are so accommodating and helpful. If you are looking for a stay that is within walking distance to everything and want to learn more about local life, there is not a better place to stay at. We can't wait to come back again as my wife and I LOVED Matera! I highly recommend Le Origini Suites & Rooms. If you have a rental car, they also have a parking spot available for you. Perfect location, beautiful views, great restaurants nearby. There are a few rooms accessible without stairs from the back of the building with a nice view of the hills. A small fridge and a tea pot in the room. TV with many channels. Adjustable air-conditioning. Daily cleaning. Our room has a king bed and two single beds. Nice decor. There is plenty of room for luggage. We paid extra for garage parking, which is nearby. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruits, yogurt, pastries, eggs, fresh squizzed orange juice, etc. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

The Hotel is great. First of all staff was kind enough to wait for us for check in. Then the staff walked us to the room and explained everything. Room the biggest suite is really spacious and nice. The Jacuzzi is big and really worth the money. Room was really clean and neat. Bed is big and I must say for the first time pillows were super. They are soft and firm at the same time. Room comes with complimentary Prosecco. Breakfast is classic Italian breakfast there isn’t lot of salty food but more sweet stuff. But eggs and bacon are still available. The place definitely goes for quality not quantity as everything we ate or drank was super tasty. Also the view from the room is really nice.

We stayed at this B&B for three nights based on the reviews here. The stay corresponded with my wife’s birthday so we took the nicest room which was located in an adjoining building and was large and very cave-like. It had a balcony overlooking the gorge and a huge jacuzzi Bath in the main room. Very impressive! ||Breakfast was taken in the main building and was delicious consisting of a wide range of local dishes. I asked for poached eggs and although I don’t think the cook had much experience she was an expert by the end of the three days - great effort! ||Parking is away from the b&b and we managed to get into the reserved open air car park on arrival. It was agreed that a space would be reserved for me as we were out exploring every day and I was concerned that the car park was full when we returned in day two. Not an issue! Aside from the open air car park, Origini also own the very large locked garage next door so parking should never be an issue (a valuable commodity in Matera!) I also had chance to view the owners lovely old classic Fiat 500. Don’t forget to drive it!!!||All in all an excellent stay. Stunning accommodation, well located with friendly staff and tasty breakfast. The views are spectacular too. As we were leaving the team gave my wife a charming little birthday gift too!

Wonderful small hotel. Breakfast is perfect - eggs and coffees made to order and many many options on the buffet. Rooms are clean and comfortable including very nice beds, AC, and a small fridge with a mini bar. The owners are very friendly and can offer any advice or help with reservations or other requests. A perfect stay in a wonderful town!

We stayed at this small hotel in Matera, which despite being small has all the necessary amenities. One of the advantages is that it is located close to the road, which avoids long walks with luggage through the ups and downs of the small town (which are many, believe me) since car traffic is very restricted.||It is worth noting the kindness and availability of Salvério, the manager, with tips on tours and meals in the town! I didn't give it the highest rating because the pillows weren't as comfortable as everything else (a minor detail, as I said before). I recommend it!
