The restaurant has a cozy and calm atmosphere. We had a fabulous 5 course tasting menu, paired with 5 wines. The dishes were presented beautifully and were absolutely delicious. The servers explained all the plates and wines, and were happy to answer our questions.

We were lucky to had the culinary experience at Le Panier! They were able to accommodate us (seated outside) without reservation. They offered set menu of either 5 or 7 courses, we opted for the 5 and it was perfect amount of food. It is a “surprise” menu based on chef’s choice consists of a veg, poultry, fish, duck and dessert. Each course was exquisite, mixed of flavors, textures and creativity. The best meal we had in Nice and we been here almost a week. Recommend making advance reservation, we got lucky. Service was a five stars.

It is place where the chef has a fixed menu. I recommend reservations. The food is basically fusion, genuinely good quality, with some really bold ideas (at least to me). However, I don’t find the taste very well balanced and the combination of different ingredients sometimes gives strange texture. (Sorry, for a price like this usually the expectation is also higher) Lastly the fish is still bit of fishy for our first bite. We still enjoyed our meal, especially the service and the explanation of each dish.

We ate at Le Panier on the night of the 5th June. We were booked to sit on the terrace and even though to begin with it was raining we were well sheltered. The staff were very attentive but not over bearing. There was a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and served at a very relaxed pace - we did not feel rushed at all. Well worth the price. We are so glad we ate here.

Google
Excellent food that is a celebration of ingredients. Every bite seems to focus on a few distinct elements of flavor, texture and temperature. The dessert was amazing. We had the 7-course tasting meal. Loved the dessert course though everything was perfect. Felt healthy — didn’t leave feeling like I’d over-indulged. Healthy mix. Great service and cuisine that upstages the restaurant itself whose decor and atmosphere doesn’t quite live up but was very good nonetheless.

It was a set surprise 5 course dinner and we had an amuse bouche making it 6. The food was elaborate, beautifully presented and well described by the staff at each course. The service was attentive and friendly. The room we were in was separate just a couple of steps across from the main building and had about 7 tables, all occupied. The only thing that could be improved perhaps was the atmosphere, there was subtle music but I think the same Stevie wonder tape went around twice while we were there. We would go back for the food certainly and perhaps try a table in the main building.

We had a lovely time at the restaurant. They were service minded and polite, but it was a little mix up at first so it took a while before we got our serving and wine. Food was great (they adapted to allergies with no problem) and the wine selection was good!

Yelp
We had an amazing four-course lunch here, and everything exceeded our expectations. Loving this cute place, it was very cozy and my parents can't stop praising this hidden gem, it has become our favorite restaurant in Nice! The food was exquisitely presented, featuring high-quality ingredients that highlighted creativity and vibrant flavors. The service was friendly and delightful. Their cocktail actually surprised me, it was very yummy and refreshing!

Yelp
We had a cute prefixed lunch menu before hopping on board of a fairy. The restaurant is located in Nice's small streets in the center. The dishes were very well presented and did not disappoint. The staff was also very friendly. Perfect place for a beautiful lunch and drinks.

Yelp
Le Panier offers a phenomenal tasting experience with 5 or 7 courses (vegetarian option available). We opted for the 5 course menu with a wine pairing and were able to taste a variety of delicious cuisine and French wines. Dishes are presented in French or English and the service was great at explaining the contents of each dish and/or story behind it. Be sure to book when you have plenty of time - this dinner is an event! As a party of 6, the 5 course menu took ~3 hours. The menu changes every month, would be glad to visit again on a future trip!

Yelp
This place is a must go to!! We did the 7 course tasting menu and loved it!! Got to try so many delicious items and got a true sense of fresh locally sourced French cooking. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. My sister is gluten free and they were able to accommodate her. Anyone looking for a one of a kind dining experience should most definitely visit Le Panier!

Yelp
Disappointing dinner experience. The host was rigid and not very friendly. My friend & I got there early for our reservation & after waiting a while, we were seated. The host seated us at a table next to heavy smokers. We understand in Europe, outdoor seating means there can be smokers but the couple was heavy smokers. We saw empty tables so we requested to have another table. The guys put up a fuss saying they were all booked. Only after speaking with the manager, it turned out there were some non-reserved tables & we got moved. We double ordered everything off the menu - one set for each of us. The food was generally fine with a few misses with the best dish being the pork. It was super tender & delicious. The most disappointing was the beef strips - I guess it's seared, slightly cooked on the outside but rawish in the middle. Both my friend & I had the same. His was great - tender and silky. Mine was tough, chewy & cannot be digested. After bringing it up with the waiter, he sent it back to the kitchen, they "recooked" it but it was still not edible. He graciously replaced it with a new one but sadly, it was the same. We let him know & sent it back as there were other dishes we can enjoy from the set we ordered. From my experience, most fine dining establishments would be embarrassed & would offer to take it off the bill. We would have declined anyway knowing everyone is trying to survive during the pandemic. Surprisingly, we were not made that offer. The fun in trying these experimental or fusion restaurants is discovering something delightful. The restaurant gave us an experience that was far from that. I wish them well but will not be coming back.

Yelp
Read all the good reviews and decided to try for lunch. The restaurant is small and cosy with 10 tables upstairs and a few outside. The menu is limited with 4 starters and 5 Mains. I shared the burrata starter that came with the most delicious tomatoes and figs. The burrata was creamy deliciousness. I had the tuna tartar starter as my main. It was fresh and tasty with a hint of sesame and was topped with a fine julienne of veggies. My BF had the porchetta starter. He said it was melt in your mouth delicious. All washed down with a glass of great rosé. The waitress told me they have been open only 2 months and to make a reservation for dinner, especially if you want an outdoor table. I hope I can get back again to try their dinner menu. This place is a gem in Nice and I would definitely dine here again

Yelp
I can't begin to say how much I love this restaurant! I live in Nice part time (for that past year and a half) and every time I'm here this is always on my list of places to eat. The food here is exceptional and by far the best tasting that I've had in Nice during my year and a half of living here. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting to make reservations for this restaurant. You will not be disappointed! ~Eric

Yelp
Fantastic! We had the 7 course option and all 7 courses were excellent. Each course was a unique experience.

Yelp
Excellent local Provencal cuisine! Had been to a couple of Nice restaurants previously and was none too impressed. Asked our hosts for a recommendation and was exceedingly pleased to discover this little gem! The food was absolutely exquisite!

Yelp
We were lucky to get a reservation. We were in Nice for only the day. Anyone I asked where to eat, I was told "Le Panier". We were not disappointed. We sat outside and delighted at the service, the tastes and the Nice experience. a wonderful experience.

Yelp
The tomatoes and burratina cheese appetizer was outstanding. The slow-cooked leg of lamb was the best lamb I have ever had - not greasy and with no gamey flavor. The sirloin steak, which was the best meal I have ever eaten, put the lamb to shame. The food was pricey, but absolutely outstanding.

Yelp
There are seemingly thousands, ok maybe hundreds of suitably perfect looking restaurants for dinner in this area of Nice. "Can't swing a cat..." My friend Grace chose this one. Food was terrific, service stellar AND friendly all around a good bet. Went back a week later but place was full to brim and I was in a hurry.

Yelp
My wife and I ate here for lunch. The restaurant is cozy, so expect to make a reservation if you plan to eat here for dinner. The wait staff are friendly and speak enough English to help travelers with limited (or no) understanding of French. The offerings are limited but the food was very good. We would definitely go back to eat here again.

Yelp
Our best meal in Nice, probably on our entire trip in France. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the vegetables the right consistently. The risotto was out of this world. And the large hazelnut macaron (shared by 3) was heavenly.

Yelp
Nice has a number of excellent authentic little restaurants that are carefully tucked away in the tiny narrow streets of the Old Town. Le Panier is one of them. Favored by the locals, this little gem offers a limited seasonal menu of traditional dishes that are quite delectable. Pretty much anything on the menu is a hit. Like with any "best kept cuisine secret" places in Nice, get a reservation if you want to be sure to get in.
