"French Flair Bistro at Le Papillon Wether your feet are tired from touring the town, you are craving comfort food, need a glass of rosé in the sun or a Grand Marnier to escape the rain, you'll want to find any available reason to duck inside Le Papillon. Their patio faces the hustle of the Financial district but is surrounded by historic buildings, with the CN Tower fading into the background. As for the food, it's French Canadian, which means hearty meat tortieres, grandiose stogie-like crepes, and classic desserts. Whatever your reason ends up being, the staff are happy to serve you and the prices won't leave your wallet much lighter."

Came here for a birthday dinner, the ambience was very cozy and quiet, it wasn't busy at all when we got there. The appetizers were okay, the escargot was good but the fried brie cheese was a bit too heavy on the seasonings, in our opinion. The main courses however were great; the steak was cooked and seasoned well, and the fries had a good amount of salt. The duck breast tasted like ham, it paired well with the sauce and wedges on the side. The desserts were great as well, the mousse au chocolat was a bit small for the price, though it was very rich. Overall, great experience, would probably try the crepes or French Onion Soup next time.

This sweet St Lawrence staple has been on my list for sometime and I’m so glad my partner and I finally had some time to sit down here for a cozy dinner. Our server Juan was lovely and took the time to recommend the best-ofs on the menu including the French onion soup, the smoked Duck breast, and the Pâtes aux Fruits de Mer all of which paired wonderfully with each other. The pasta is excellent for those looking for a garlic dish over seafood and the Duck breast is an excellent shareable with the breast cut into 7 bite sized pieces served under a heavenly mixed berry sauce and a side of potatoes and string beans. The French onion soup is a tasty and hearty starter to any dish on the menu. Looking forward to coming back to sampling the rest of the menu soon! ☺️

Came here on a Saturday night, we had reservations for 6pm. The restaurant didn’t seem busy, when I walked in through the door I was greeted by the bartender who told me the hostess would be with me in a bit, ended up waiting for a while for her to finish her chat with a table. After waiting awkwardly at the front door for the hostess (which never came) a waiter finally took the initiative to direct me to my seating. Honestly I did not have high hopes for the food after reading the reviews and was not shocked after tasting it. Every dish that came out was cold and lacked flavour and salt. The appetizers came out so fast it was a little sketchy. What we ordered: French Onion Soups Deep Fried Brie Escargot Smoked Duck Breast Boeuf Bourguignon Bouillabaisse Steal and Fries Cassoulet The Deep Fried Brie was cold and tasted like regular mozzarella sticks at a pub, the Escargot lacked so much flavour. There was no garlic butter taste at all! The Smoked Duck Breast tasted like holiday ham and it was a super small portion. The beef in the Beef Stew was dry and the rice was al dente, Steak and fries were SALTY and the best thing in the Cassoulet was the piece of pork belly it came with. The only things that was good was the Bouillabaisse and French onion soup. 2 stars for the waiter that was super friendly and honest and the cocktail my cousin ordered. We also had a birthday cake ($2.50) fee per person.

We came here after work as a group, it was a Thursday night and the place was a bit empty. The service was great and quick, staff was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a few appetizers for the table such as tuna tartare, shrimps and baked brie cheese, which tasted delicious!!! I had steak and fries for main, my colleagues had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal. It looks like it could be a nice place for a romantic dinner, if you are looking for one.

nice ambiance, excellent service and friendly staff. food was good, but dont expect a blissful gastronomic experience. escargot would be better if served in the shells with escargot tong and had more garlic & butter. crepe de la mer was so delicious i would visit again just for it. portion of duck breast and new york steak were kinda small but taste good. burnt sugar layer of creme brulee was way too thick but i like the pudding part. wine was solid, nothing to criticize.

Went for summerlicious and had some nice food. Good deal @ $18/ 3 course meal. Staff was a tad slow, but very accommodating and kind. Soup was a little thin. Salad was simple and elegant, but not very satisfying. Fish and chips was good, but is kind of bar food quality. Fries tend to stick together, but they were nice and crispy! Turkey burger was plain, bun was nice, but I wasn't overly sold on the quality. Ribs were the best item on the summerlicious menu that or group got. Crepe quality is amazing, highly recommend the savoury crepe. Filling (spinach and mushroom) was cooked in truffle oil and was delicious, could have used a larger variety of veggies and at least used baby spinach for tenderness, the spinach was stringy. dessert crepes are too thick and sweet, interesting orange flavour. Coffee ice cream is good, but fruit and syrup was way too sweet

Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night as there were quite a few empty tables in the restaurant. We got the escargot and french onion soup to start, then the classic coq au vin and smoked duck breast for our entrées. The service was generally good, except we found a piece of hair in our glass of water. The food was good as I expected but nothing to be excited about either.

The crepe with beef is great! The onion soup (a symbol of French cuisine) in their preparation - I don't like it, I guess they use the cheapest onion and the dish smells, I don't recommend. Smoked duck is nice, a little dry, but maybe it is supposed to be that. The mashed potatoes they put on the siding was not worth the restaurant level, they also put onion in it. Beer. Bottled IPA comes from Goose brewery opposite the street - good, however, draft one is lower than average as well as most canadian beers. Hope wine is better, I did not try it. Btw, it is supposed to be a French restaurant, why do they have Chile on the menu? Honestly, we went there, because a very famous nearby Italian place was too busy (40 min wait time).
