see below the reply I got after complaining that I had been locked out of my hotel room...
I never complained about my safety, more a general concern if a child had been in the room...

Dear Sir,
You did indeed experience a technical issue, namely your electronic room door lock jamming from the outside, in the middle of the night, and we are sincerely sorry for this.
As the lock jammed from the outside, it did not compromise your safety.
Furthermore, the night receptionist, unable to unlock your door, urgently called me and offered you a place in our lounge bar to enjoy some drinks while I arrived from home in the middle of the night.
I received the call from the team at 11:23 PM, arrived on site at 12:27 AM, and resolved the issue at 12:39 AM. This represents a total of 1 hour and 16 minutes.
Please agree, Sir, that our team took this problem seriously and did everything possible to resolve it quickly.
I am available to discuss this live if you wish, as you did not seem willing to discuss this calmly with anyone that day, even after the problem was resolved.
