Le Pavillon de Galon (Cucuron, French Riviera / Provence) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"To call it a bed and breakfast is accurate, but risks underselling the experience. Le Pavillon de Galon, just outside the Luberon village of Cucuron, is a lovingly restored 18th-century hunting lodge surrounded by 15 acres of orchards and gardens. It’s owned by the French photographer Guy Hervais and his wife Bibi Gex, a couple with a keen eye for interior design — the three suites are disparate in style but consistent in quality and full of surprising details. There’s a lovely infinity pool, and yoga instruction is available on request; cooking classes and wine tastings may be arranged as well." - Tablet Hotels

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Stay in Cucuron , Pure Magic Staying at this home in Cucuron was an absolute dream. My husband and I travel a lot and this was easily one of the most special travel experiences we’ve ever had. The property is stunning: peaceful, private, and thoughtfully designed with timeless Provençal charm and effortless elegance. Every morning we woke up to birdsong, golden light filtering through the trees, and the scent of lavender in the air. But what truly set this stay apart was the heart and soul poured into every detail. The owners welcomed us with bottles of wine they personally made—each one delicious and full of character. Breakfasts were a highlight each morning, prepared with love and crafted from fresh fruits grown right in their garden. It felt like a true celebration of local flavors and living well. They also took care of all our dinner reservations at the towns best restaurants, making everything seamless and elevated. As an incredible bonus, the owner is a professional photographer and offered to capture photos of us during our stay—something we’ll treasure forever. This wasn’t just a beautiful place to stay—it was a soulful, curated experience that made us feel completely cared for. If you’re looking for something meaningful, luxurious, and full of magic in the South of France, this is it. We can’t wait to return.

We had an excellent stay. The place is run by Bibi and Gui, and also assisted by Stella. They were all very warm and friendly. There is and infinity pool and a beautiful garden to chill and unwind. The breakfast is simple but very testy, made of fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Bibi makes great restaurant recommendations and is happy to make reservations. We got special treatment at the restaurants she sent us. Bibi also took my wife to the Sunday market and she really enjoyed. This is something you cannot get at large hotels. Overall - memorable stay. Merci - Bibi, Gui, and Stella.

The Pavillon de Galon is magical! Bibi and Guy, the owners are gracious and delightful! Every detail of the room and the petit dejeuner is perfect. Bring your bathing suit for the heated outdoor swimming pool. The gardens are a reflection of the love and hard work Guy and Bibi have put in for many years. Walking into the village of Cucueron is an easy half mile. Book for a lifetime, you’ll never want to leave!

Fabulous. If you like staying in a Roman Villa, surrounded by vines and Olive trees, set in the most amazing range of different gardens, swimming in a luxury mosaic heated pool or an original Roman 35 m x13 m Olympic sized pool/basin fed by a fresh water spring from the Luberon mountain behind this could be the place for you. Bibi and Guy hoist this very special location.

The place was beautiful, but it was the graciousness of our hostess that really made it a memorable visit. The gardens were well kept but hadn't burst out as I visited in April and it was a cold spring. It was too cold to swim but the pool looked amazing. I particularly was interested in the ancient Roman pool on the property. I would love to go back and spend a full week. Great detail was given to every aspect of the inn. Bibi (the owner) is on hand to answer questions as well as point out interesting and historical facts.

How can I describe it? The accomodation is located in a quiet area outside the village Cucuron with a beautiful garden . Our suite -the Grand suite - was decorated with great taste and very exclusive furniture. The large pool is located next to the beautiful Provencal garden. It is the most beautiful Garden I have ever seen. The breakfast overlooking the garden was very good - we had the best fruit salad for breakfast we ever had outside our home. Last but not least Bibi and Guy are so attentive and caring hosts with good tips for dinner and sightseeing. We are very happy to come back. Thank you Bibi and Guy for everything and see you soon.

Owned by the hospitable Bibi and Guy, with just three suites Le Pavillon de Galon offers peace, tranquillity and the utmost privacy. Breakfasts including homemade cheese, croissants, and preserves, and freshly brewed coffee start the day. The gardens are worth talking about especially if you book when the irises are blooming and a beautiful infinity pool and a mineral sourced spring pool make for a heavenly experience, private and almost all too yourself.||I stayed in the grande stuite which was 40sqm with a shared kitchen.

The gardens are truly fabulous--made even better after talking with the proprietors Bibi and Guy and learning about the loving, painstaking process of creating this magical place. We were there in mid-May when the irises were a blooming sea of blue everywhere you looked. But looking at the beautiful book they had made of the garden, every time is the right time to go. After the irises are finished, the lavender and roses bloom and the butterfly bushes explode. Our room had a lovely view of the garden, and Crystal prepared us a delicious breakfast which we ate on one of the patios bathed in sunlight. I can't wait to tell my friends about this jewel.
