Le Petit Bal Perdu

We came here because a Parisian friend recommended us the place. The food was excellent and the staff incredibly friendly. I’m vegetarian and and we were both impressed by the wide range of options available. I tried the risotto and, as an Italian, I can say it was absolutely impeccable. They even offered us a complimentary digestif, which was a lovely touch. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully curated. We will definitely be coming back!

What a lovely restaurant. It was a fantastic meal, with mussels and shrimp for starters, a great juicy cote de bœuf, stuffed vegetables, salmon and steak tartar for mains. And the desserts were sublime, first and foremost the chocolate mousse. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff friendly and the restaurant is beautiful and welcoming. It is not easy to replicate the legendary Chez Janou restaurant in the Marais, but the owners nailed it.

We found this place by accident whilst exploring the Rue Mouffetard area - and I'm glad we did! It's a really quirky bistro/restaurant, with a fantastic atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Food was of the usual French qualtiy, and was reasonably priced - especially for Paris. To round off an exceptionally enjoyable meal, I ordered the Rum Baba (baba au rhum?) which was served to the table before being liberally doused (i.e. drowned) in Havana dark rum!! Marvellous stuff and highly recommended!

LOVED THE LUNCH SET 😘 So affordable and very very delicious!!! Excellent rich creamy soup (looked and smelled so good I only remembered to take a pic midway), yummy main dishes with good-sized portions, and simple but comforting French Toast to end the meal on a sweet note. Nice service and beautiful spacious outdoor terrace seating with great views of the small park and surroundings. Happy to visit again!!

While taking a walk my husband and I found this charming restaurant by pure coincidence. It looked so nice that we decided to take our chance and ask if we can have drink and something sweet (it was my birthday and we wanted to treat ourself with cake). Even the restaurant take bookings they did found us a table and we were seated immediately. We ordered drinks and some deserts. Staff was really friendly and explained all desserts we asked about so it made our choice much easier. And let me tell you desserts were absolutely incredible. While we were still looking at our plates admiring how the food looks my husband told one of the waiters that it is my birthday and she immediately left and came back with her colleagues bringing a big porcelain bowl filled with exquisite chocolate mousse with a birthday fire cracker. They sang me happy bday song and the entire restaurant applaud. It was such a nice gesture that I didn't expected at all. They filled us a plate with chocolate mousse and treated us with melon liqueur. It was a heartwarming moment and wonderful gesture from the staff even we just sat for a small treat. Even we didn't had dinner their menu was really tempting and with very reasonable prices. It is a must see place in Latin quarter in Paris. Was walking down the street and thought we'd give this Bistro a try and it did not disappoint. The service was great and we appreciated the English speaking waiter. Food was delicious. The tartare was the best I've had in a long time. Seated outside, perfect place to dine.

Amazing restaurant in Paris, very beautiful outdoor sitting area that has a nice view. The service is good and the waiters are friendly and generous. Good choice for a weekend dinner or lunch, it's better to do reservation if you're considering a gathering. We tried the desserts which are all freshly made.

Walked past this place one evening and the exterior looked so fun we came back for dinner the next night. The food is phenomenal, everything was so delicious. Can highly the unlimited chocolate mousse! Staff were super friendly and the vibe was great. We didn't have a reservation and they managed to find a table for us no problem.
