Le Petit Cafe

The restaurant is beautiful and has a light, relaxing atmosphere. I didn’t have any issues with the waitstaff, which is often a problem in the central part of Ljubljana. I tried the Eggs Benedict and can say they’re among the better ones. I definitely recommend this place for a morning date or after a walk around the old town — a great spot!

Perfectly prepared pork ribs, tender and full of flavor, are served with sour cabbage and young potatoes that complement the dish beautifully. The menu is further enriched with an excellent selection of sweets, including a classic apple pie, a rich chocolate cake, and a well-balanced tiramisu cheesecake, all freshly prepared and satisfying. The restaurant offers an excellent vintage atmosphere that is cosy, warm, and inviting, ideal for relaxed dining. Staff are polite, attentive, and responsive, contributing to a pleasant and well-organized overall experience.

We visited as a group of four and overall had a pleasant dining experience. The dish we ordered was very good—well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. The draft beer was decent, complementing the meal nicely, though it wasn’t particularly memorable. The service was smooth, and everything felt organized and comfortable. In general, the experience was quite enjoyable, but the prices were a bit higher than what we are used to in Slovenia. Despite this, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience made it worth the visit. It’s a solid choice for a casual meal with friends or family.

Restaurant was recommended by our guide and it was totally worth it! We arrive almost at closing time and the staff were super polite and treated super well! We ate a spare ribs and a quiche and it was amazing! The white wine was local and super good too! We took the desert to have at the hotel and guess what?! It was also amazing!!!! Super recommend to those staying in Ljubljana.

Every city has a "Le Petit Cafe", but not every Le Petit Cafe experience is as good as this one. We stopped here for an early morning breakfast and got the English breakfast and a Mediterranean omelette, a smoothie, and a cappuccino with oat milk. The staff was very friendly, and the food for the most part was good. I just didn't like the sausage that came with the English breakfast. I also wish the eggs were cooked a little more, I personally don't like to see runny whites in my eggs.

This was the café we visited every morning while we were in Ljubljana for breakfast. And every day was wonderful. The breakfast is delicious, the service is fantastic, the waiters are lovely, and the whole atmosphere and design of the place feel like something out of a fairy tale

It's official! We are in love with Slovenia and with Le Petite. My breakfast skillet was "new" on the menu, and should be a permanent fixture. Add to that an exceptional coffee, Kombucha and REAL orange juice -- it is a true formula for success! Both of our breakfasts were standouts over others from the past 17 days. Our service was perfect and the restaurant very comfortable and warm. We will be back ... With friends!
