Had a great time at this family run winery. We ended up buying 3 bottles to take home after having 2 flights while there. It is very reasonably priced and I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in their selections for wine or food. Would highly recommend.

If you’re visiting hocking hills you HAVE to make a stop here. Such a cute vibe, and great wine! We came on a Saturday so they also had a food truck which was perfect! 10/10 recommend. Seating is a bit limited if you want to sit outside and come on a busy night, but we sat up on the porch drinking our wine until a picnic table opened to eat some food and it was just fine.

We always like visiting the local wineries when we travel, and of all the ones we tried in the Hocking Hills area, Le Petit Chevalier stood out as the best. The farm style tasting room was cozy, and you could get flights of 4 wines at a time to sample. If you like dry reds, you have to try their Marquette, and if you're into whites I'd recommend their Seyval (they have dry and sweet varieties). We left with 2 bottles to enjoy at home.

Google
Such a beautiful little winery. We had a charcuterie board and a flight of wine. The wine and scenery were beautiful!

Google
We loved everything about this winery! It was beautiful, the wine was so good, and there was a large selection of board games! I also learned so much about Ohio wine and the specific wines grown at Le Petit Chevalier. This was a great stop!

We went to multiple wineries in Hocking Hills, and this one is by FAR the best! It is family owned and operated, they grow their own grapes that they use in their wines, they have a large selection of unique wines to taste, and they have several that have won awards for their taste. We did three flights to try, got a few bites to eat, and ended up taking home three bottles. Very friendly atmosphere—I love their whole operation model and cannot wait to visit again!

We visited yesterday and had a great time! The winery is beautiful and the wine was delicious. We enjoyed a few wine flights on the property and got bottles for home as well. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area!!

Yelp
My Mr and I was looking for a vineyard near our cabin and stumbled on this place via Yelp. The reviews were so good that we had to check them out. We got there a little after 1:00 pm and they were super busy. The inside was small but there were plenty of seating outside. We didn't mind going out there despite the 30 degree weather. The view of the farm and vineyard was gorgeous to look at even with the snow. Before we went in, we greeted the sheep's in the front entrance. You can't miss the small barn. We stood in line and while we were waiting, we filled out the sheets and picked our 4 tastings. They range from dry, semi sweet and sweet. They also serve slushies and mulled wine. We ordered: Flight of 4 $10.00: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -2 Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush Appetizer: -Classic Charcuterie for two For food, they do have paninis and charcuterie trays. If you order, they give you a buzzer. When it goes off, you pick up your meal outside/food truck. Our favorites were the Alexander red and Seyval Blanc. So good that were purchased bottles to take home and had two glasses of Alexander after we finished our flight. I talked to the owners and they are very friendly and take pride in their wines & their farm. I highly recommend you pay them a visit. We had such a great experience and will definitely come back when in the hocking hills area. Make sure to check their hours because they are only open certain times and days of the week.

Yelp
My lady and I were staying at a place nearby Hocking Hills and decided to look for a local winery when we found this one not even five miles away. It looked very scenic and laid back too so we had to check it out. Glad we did because we really enjoyed it. Excellent wine, very relaxed atmosphere, and tremendous service. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after some hiking. We just wanted a couple wine flights and maybe a charcuterie board since we saw they offer those. It was pretty busy already and we got there right after they opened for the day. Still, it wasn't super cold out, and we found comfortable seating on a porch outside. We started with two flights and a classic charcuterie board. Here are the wines we tried: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush We enjoyed pretty much all the wines, especially the Alexander and the Seyval Blanc. Note that when ordering food, you order at the bar, then they hand you a pager, and you get your food at a food truck nearby when your pager goes off. Our charcuterie board was done pretty quickly and everything was tasty. So much so that we took our time to savor it along with a couple more glasses of wine. They do offer s nice range of wines too, from dry to sweet to all points in between. They also do seasonal wines like mulled wines in winter and wine slushies. Like a certain wine? You can buy a bottle and they offer 10% off if you buy six or more bottles. This is a great little winery and lots to offer. I can tell they're a big hit with locals and travelers alike with how busy they got quickly after opening up. Say hi to the sheep when you get there too!

Yelp
Discovered this gem while on a girls weekend in Hocking Hills. They have a variety of wines to choose from, by the glass, flights and slushies.. yum. Lots of outdoor seating, cute games, friendly staff and certain dates/times they have food available. I tried the apple wine and the peach slushie, both were fantastic! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Such a cute winery! It is small and definitely intimate. The inside is limited with sitting areas and the larger table was reserved so unfortunately our bigger group did not have anywhere to sit inside. We came in early September and we found the bees to be really bad outside, which made drinking our wine difficult. A lot of us had slushies which we enjoyed, but then we left due to the bees. The view is absolutely beautiful.

Yelp
This is a must stop for me every time I'm in town. The owners, Margit and Mark, are so welcoming and kind - its a warm, cozy place to enjoy wine and snacks. This vineyard is lovely. I've enjoyed watching the leaves change throughout the seasons & looking at the rolling hills that peek behind the trees. You can enjoy a tasting, a glass, or a bottle of wine here. This is Ohio made wine, and it's actually very good! They regularly have a food truck on Saturdays during specific seasons of the year, but they also recently began selling food from the winery - which is delicious! I enjoyed a chicken salad croissant today, and the 3 grapes on the side were the tastiest grapes I've had. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and there are games sitting around on various tables inside. They do have 2 friendly dogs (and many chickens). If you bring your dog, you just have to call and let them know so that they can bring their dogs inside.

Yelp
Good selection of wines .Tried their flights of dry red and white, and they were enjoyable. Ambience was warm and cozy, you can play table and board games as you try your wines. Highly recommend if you're in the area :)

Yelp
Peaceful escape with great wine. Next time we want to stay in the upstairs air bnb. Food was amazing as well. We split the Caprese salad and a wrap which paired perfectly with our wine - Growers Red.

Michael M.

Yelp
It is a really neat little place. It's open in the evenings. Very friendly, decent indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly waitstaff. I thought the herd of sheep they keep among the grapes was cute. The views are very picturesque. Rolling hills, Vineyard, green mountains.

Tamara W.

Yelp
First time visiting this winery! They had the Schmidt's food truck there along with highland cows! Great day!

Layne M.

Yelp
The most stunning setting with delicious wines and snacks that is run by the absolute sweetest people! We had such an amazing and relaxing evening enjoying the views outside and sampling tons of wines.

Doug S.

Yelp
What a fabulous place! Starts with the view overlooking the vineyard, the staff all so friendly, the food was great, , the wine and slushies delicious. The background music at that perfect volume. Can't wait to go back!

Lisa D.

Yelp
The views are beautiful and relaxing. The sheep grazing in the vines are so interesting to watch. There are 2 dogs, Norton and Alexander are very well behaved, and adorable. The wine was probably the best we had in the Hocking Hills area. The owner who lives in site had so much information, he was great to talk too! Also we found out there was an AirBNB on site.

John M.

Yelp
The wine was wonderful. Fast service and the owners were there to deliver our trays. A lovely place and a must visit in hocking hills.

Sam B.

Yelp
This place is so precious! The wine slushies are delicious. I love that they do wine flights. The apple wine was my favorite while my husband preferred their sweet red. Everything is very affordable and quaint. I loved that they have picnic tables spread throughout the property. They even have a picnic library with blankets, umbrellas and pillows to borrow while you enjoy your drinks and snacks. They have sheep wandering the orchards and friendly dogs strolling the yard. This family run business has a food truck on Saturdays and sells snacks inside. The staff were very welcoming. They even have an Airbnb available for rent in the upstairs of the winery. I'm sure we will be back one day! Definitely a great stop on your trip to Hocking Hills.

Kristen R.

Yelp
The best winery in the area. Don't waste your time with hocking hills winery. Drive here. This family owned and operated winery puts their heart and soul into this place and it shows. Great wine. Beautiful property. And they have 2 cute doggies. Need I say more?

John G.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped here and had some amazing tasting wine, she decided to buy 6 bottles, 2 dry reds, 3 dry whites and a sweet apple. The reds when we opened them at home had dry corks and was complete vinegar! The Oakes Norton, do not buy that as you will be sorely disappointed and find yourself here leaving a horrible review! After calling the winery we received great attention and a full refund, as I said, when we were there the wine was fantastic hence buying 6 bottles, I guess you can get a couple bad ones in a batch, but it's rarer still to find a great business that makes it right, we will be back!

Rick G.

Yelp
Great wine, beautiful scenery and a good food truck! The owners are very hospital and know there wine. I will be back!

Julie A.

Yelp
We tried many regional wines, visited a few and Le Petit Chevalier stands out as the best. They have a mature, complex offering of wines years beyond their 2009 founding. We really enjoy the Norton; a full-bodied red with a slight plum note.

Kate L.

Yelp
This is such a great winery in the Hocking Hills area. Get the pina colada wine slushy or try a wine flight. They have a cute wine tasting room and lots of outdoor seating. You can't beat views of the rolling hills with the vineyard in the background! There is usually some type of food truck on the weekends, so be sure to check their Facebook page or give them a call. The owners are so nice and live in the big farmhouse on the farm.

Patty L.

Yelp
It was a sprinkle rain day and we were looking for something to do during a family trip. Toddler and dog included. What a gracious owner they their dogs in the barn and we sat under a rotted porch and had a beautiful view with music and we brought snacks. Good wine, nice folks, beautiful grounds.

Natalie F.

Yelp
This is a beautiful winery. Quaint and welcoming. I brought my sister for her birthday weekend to do a tasting and partake in the food truck. The truck was supposed to be from 4-8pm they closed at 7. That was upsetting seeing as we intended to eat. We thought we'll that's fine let's get our flights and enjoy the scenery. I have to say not 1 of the wines was something I'd buy a bottle of. It hurt my heart to even say that. They were abrasive and almost chemical tasting. My sister said the same. I'm sure based on the upkeep and kind service that they take pride in this place and work hard. I might just suggest someone with clearer palate taste these wines and make adjustments. Overall it was still a beautiful experience in itself. I just can't say it would draw me again.

Beth F.

Yelp
Apple wine is in season now. I've been here at different times of year, and the wines are lovely. Always recommend a flight of wine. close drive from ash cave. And what's better than a day of hiking then wine?

Pam M.

Yelp
One of the greatest gifts I have ever been given is my daughter and she gifted me the gift of time together this past weekend at Le Petit Chevalier. This Airbnb was like walking into my dream space. Beautifully designed with light wood that is complimented by twinkling lights, plants adored with handmade macrame holders, drapery that showcases the bedroom and the windows that look over the vineyard. The bathroom was like walking in a small piece of heaven, the full body shower, thickness of towels and again there was a window that looks out on the back of vineyard. In the morning I stood looking out of the window at a tree full of red cardinals, which could explain the stain glass cardinals above the bathroom door. When we arrived there was a welcoming handwritten note, a scrumptious loaf of bread and a bottle of one of their own wines. perfect place for a mother/daughter get away, girls trip, couples engagement or even a Wedding! I look forward to returning soon. Thank you Chevalier Family!
