I was walking down the street reading reviews of different places to have dinner after 9 p.m., and I came across some great feedback about Le Petite Cler. The waiter recommended trying the snails and duck. If you’re looking for authentic, homemade French flavors — this is the place to go! A delicate crème brûlée was a lovely way to end the evening in Paris.

a perfect restaurant for people watching and taking yourself for a solo date — which is exactly what i did. it’s not a large restaurant so the seating area outside felt intimate and cozy. i sat at a corner in the second row and i could easily people watch but not feel so close to the street itself. they have a pretty extensive menu so it can feel a bit overwhelming figuring out what to order but i saw online that their beef bourguignon was popular and heard the waiters saying the same thing so i tried that. there was so much beef. i’m happy to say they don’t skimp on the beef and the flavor was great and it paired well with the pasta.

It was open later than others in the area which I appreciated after a long day of walking. Service was good. The French onion soup was very mild, almost lacking any beef base at all. The duck confit was tasty, albeit lacking salt. The flank steak was good when dipped in the accompanying sauce. Overall a lack of seasoning on the food for my palate. It's rare I use the salt and pepper shakers at a restaurant, but I did here.

After visiting the Musée de l’Armée with my son, we were absolutely starving, we had skipped breakfast and were hoping to find something nearby. We first tried another café, but they had just stopped serving breakfast (literally two minutes after 11:00) and didn’t seem too eager to help. Then we walked into Le Petit Cler, and the difference was night and day. We were greeted right away by a warm, friendly man who seated us with a smile. The whole vibe was calm, welcoming, and just what we needed. We ordered from their full breakfast menu: my son had scrambled eggs with cheese and ham, fresh juice, and a chocolate croissant. I chose a mushroom omelette with cheese and a latte. The food was tasty, the portions generous, and the experience left us both happy and full. A truly pleasant place where hospitality still means something. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great breakfast in Paris.

10/10 experience! Everything was exceptional. The foie gras was incredibly buttery, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious—no off-putting smell at all. We tried the Wednesday special, and the ribs were perfectly cooked: tender, flavorful, and savory. I’d absolutely love to come back!

We had a lovely meal at Le Petit Cler! The beef bourguignon was rich, tender, and full of flavour, and the French onion soup was absolutely perfect – warm, comforting, and very tasty. We also tried the sirloin beef (ordered medium), but unfortunately it was a bit tough to chew. Still, the flavours were good, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a charming Parisian spot with great atmosphere and delicious classic dishes – would definitely come back for the bourguignon and onion soup!

Something authentic in the center of the city. Good food and great atmosphere. Expected a bit better from Foie Gras, but it came directly out of fridge. Felt the price was a little too much for the food being served.

The ambiance of the place was pleasant, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The food was served quickly, and the recommended dishes were spot on. We tried the duck dish, which was absolutely perfect—10/10, incredibly flavorful and juicy. The onion soup, also a 10/10 and highly recommended. The flank steak had a delicious sauce and was enjoyable overall, but it was quite chewy inside, despite being cooked to a good medium level. Apart from that, everything else we had was excellent.
