They serve up really good seafood. Everything on the menu is solid, no complaints. We managed to try quite a lot as the portions weren’t huge and there were a few highlights: the 12 oysters (3 different types they select) were outstanding, best dish by far. The razorclams were also notable as well as the Cuttlefish.

Locals were recommending this restaurant to us, on 2 separate occasions. One said it's the taste of his grandma's cooking while growing up, while the other mentioned that this is her most favourite restaurant across the entire Bordeaux. We knew we needed to try, even though there were many other restaurants around the city that had higher ratings. Boy oh boy were we not disappointed. Got ourselves a Plateau de Fruits de Mer, the Escargots Persillade, and some Oysters. Everything was extremely fresh, like it came straight from the sea. We added some grilled red mullet, and the fresh fish sure added some layers of enjoyment to the meal. Washed it all down with a bottle of Petit Chablis white wine. What really blew my mind was the amount of crab roe in the crab. If you're a roe lover, this item is a must-order. Their desserts were also fabulous. Tried their carpaccio d'ananas, sorbet mangue-passion (thinly sliced pineapple with passion fruit sorbet), and the verrine du verger, marmalade pomme creme a la poire, crumble anandes et mousse de pomme golden (apple crumble). Both ended the meal extremely well. Service was also extremely pleasant. Servers mostly tried to speak English to us, without much prejudice. They were mostly friendly no matter who we asked for help. And the male boss even helped me with the paper towels when I bumped into him at the washroom while washing my hands! People working here, must enjoy working here. Definitely a gem of a spot, whether you're a local or a tourist. Thank you team, for taking good care of us Asians, in your country!

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant. We highly enjoyed the food. It was our first time trying escargot and we loved it!

We reserved a table for four in this highly recommended restaurant. We did not get disappointed! Oysters and escargots as starters were delicious as well as our main meals macarel, monk fish and heku. All of them very yummy! Service was very friendly and fast 🤩. Could have some more decoration though 🤔

Delicious food and the hostess/ host are very welcoming and friendly. The only issue was a waiter telling me I will have an upset stomach when I ordered coffee instead of wine, which seemed fairly out of place. But other than that, fantastic experience and the seafood is super fresh. I highly recommend this place. 😊

Service was a bit slow as the restaurant was really crowded but the meals made up for it. The creme brulee was delightful.

Overall, a terrific experience at a lively, convivial spot. We liked some dishes more than others, but that’s to be expected anywhere. Fish was very well prepared. Our servers took extra time to help us understand the menu and answer our questions. We never felt rushed. We’d go back, no question.

Amazing food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere! I had the scallops and they were the sweetest scallops I've ever eaten in my life. Perfectly seared, seasoned, and just downright delicious! The fondant I had for dessert was delightful! Highly recommend Le Petit Commerce 👍🏽⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
