Le Petit Fouet - Restaurant Mougins

A wonderful menu of beautifully cooked food with much consideration for blend of flavours. Service was nice, our server was friendly although would often stop to chat with surrounding people whilst we were trying to make an order. Atmosphere was lovely, we got talking with the table next to us as everyone is seated so closely together!

Can I give 6 stars? We first ate at Le Petit Fouet in 2022, when we were on a scouting trip to the South of France. It was winter, and the interior was so warm, cozy, and welcoming, and in a way perfectly complimented by the food and the hospitality of the owners. We’ve lived here for nearly two years now, and Le Petit Fouet remains a favorite. It is the restaurant we eat at the most in Mougins, and it is one of the Top 5 restaurants on the Côté d’Azur to which we bring friends and family when they visit. The food is always excellent, and the service is both warm and fun. My highest recommendation.

We had a lovely dinner at Le Petit Fouet - so lovely that we returned the next day for lunch! The food was delicious both times - I enjoyed a delicious creamy burrata and the sea bass with hazelnut apple crust with caponata. My husband enjoyed the barbecue ribs with in his words ‘the best chips ever’. The staff are all warm and friendly. The restaurant itself is very charming and in a beautiful setting in Mougins old village. We will certainly be back soon.

One of those few experiences when everything is just perfect. All the food we ordered tasted so good! They arrived on time and were freshly cooked. The onion soup was super tasty we love it! The duck was cooked well and went with the tasty sweet sauce. Then the cheese was simply superb! All good including the very cozy lovely ambiance of this restaurant. Everything was so perfect and the service was good with the friendly lady who served us. Free sweets in the counter as you pay your bill. We will definitely be back!!

The inside is small so careful of your head cause the ceiling is low. But Food was so good and great service too. Aircon inside, so nice to escape from the summer

It has been a spontaneous decision to go to Le Petit Fouet in the center of Mougins, that we have not regretted. Offering modern french cuisine in a atypical venue with lots of funny artefacts, this place has a great combination of taste and ambiance.

A little restaurant located west side of the charming old town, Mougins, offered great food with friendly hospitality. We had a 1.4kg tomahawk steak as main, cooked to our liking and even sliced to pieces and garnished to 2 plates. Seasonal side salad, fries and 2 type of sauces came with the steak. We were so full but left a little room for the owner's favourite dessert, 'Paris Breast'. Very enjoyable dinner from the start till end.

Amazing, authentic French cuisine. The foie gras appetizer and the liver with garlic, parsley sauce will have us returning for years to come. Absolutely the best foie gras and the most tender, delicious liver I've ever had and I've traveled the world. My husband really enjoyed the steak with mushroom sauce. The chef prepared my meal with no dairy, just substituting olive oil for the butter. This was done graciously with no issue, which is rare in France. The staff were all delightful and spoke enough English to make ordering easy and seamless. If there were 6 stars I'd give them another for making our dining experience amazing. The two star Michelin restaurant we went to I'd give a solid 3 Yelp stars. Au Rendez-Vous de Mougins is my favorite restaurant in Provence. Hidden gem.

Our favorite place in Old Mougins. Great food and wine; indoor or outdoor seating. The town around it is artsy, restored to medieval splendor and great to stroll around. And what a view walking up to the restaurant district; it sits on a defensive fortress of a hill, like towns in Tuscany. Really unique.

Excellent service... so friendly! Offer 3 price fix menu options.... lowest is 28 euro... affordable! Yes! Sat in street of old town.... nice table... cloth! Yes! The food excellent... ordered salmon/halibut skewers... and veal w mushrooms..... see pics! Escargot average.... but good... Camembert cheese fried... excellent!!! Local Rose bottle 24 euro.... right on! Will go back!

The perfect place for lunch when you are visiting this cute art gallery filled village. A few prix fixed menus to choose from and from Monday to Friday a lunch menu (one dish and one dessert) for 15 euros is a really good value. Good friendly service and the food here is tasty, fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend the fish of the day, always a nice plate. The pana cotta for dessert is always a nice way to finish the meal as well. So far I have always been happy here with the quality of the food and service.

We stayed 4 nights in Mougins and ate 3 dinners here! The soupe de poissons is fabulous, their entrecôte is great, and the Lasagna is to die for!

This charming restaurant offers a delightful setting in the quaint village of Mougins. The restaurant is actually on the site of an Roman Court. I think we made some poor choices on the appetizers as several others that I saw at nearby tables looked fantastic. My colleague had the beef carpaccio and it was nothing impressive. I had the smoked salmon and asparagus which was just ok. We all had the beef tenderloin as a entrée and it was surprising and exceptionally good. For dessert the options were classically French and well presented. Overall you will not have a bad meal here. The prices are reasonable and the service is exceptional.
