Very cute restaurant in the marais! It is however very crowded and loud you slightly need to yell to hear each other. I think for those who care about noise levels maybe this isn't the place for you. Also we were a big group but I found the food cold which was too bad since it was really good and innovative as well, not what you commonly see in every restaurant. Also the portions are quite small so take note!! I felt as if some of the staff were a bit annoyed (we were a big group so I understand we raised noise levels) but this slightly ruined the vibes in the group. Also we waited 30+minutes even after a reservation so take note this is a BUSY restaurant!!

Google
Food was delicious. We ordered the steak and the Truffle risotto. Steak was perfectly good, cut of the meat was great. The mashed potato that it came with was also super smooth and perfectly salted. The salad was refreshing too with a nice touch of wasabi mayo. The truffle risotto was sooo fragrant! My advice - taste the truffle risotto first before mixing everything in. Love the taste of the creamy risotto on my palate! We cleaned the plate!

Google
absolutely unreal!!! no notes loved every bit of our meal. got the sesame crusted tuna, duck, risotto, & creme brulee. we were also given a side of mash which was heavenly

Great food and helpful waiter. Got great recommendation for the wine. Atmosphere is nice but it was full inside so we sat outside and it was a bit chilly. We didn’t mind tho.

Google
This is a good place for a quick weekday lunch: they have lunch specials every day with lunch formula entree du jour + plat du jour at 18 euros. The plat du jour changes every day and is around 13.5 euros. Other than the “lunch menu du jour”, there’s their regular menu with lots of options. Note that the regular menu items are not part of their lunch formulas. The dishes use fresh ingredients and generally taste hearty. Lots of people come here during their lunch breaks.

Google
French food as we imagine it and warm kind people serving it. The lunch menu is a smart option, but if you don’t live in Paris - go a la carte, try this heaven tender foie gras and perfectly cooked duck breast, or lamb! and order a crème brûlée to complete your French cuisine checklist ✔️

This cozy French bistro, tucked away in the heart of the Marais, has a lively, buzzing atmosphere that feels quintessentially Parisian. With classic French tunes playing in the background, the vibe is cheerful and inviting, though it’s clear it’s a hotspot for tourists—it’s packed most of the time. The food leans on the classic side, solid but not overly fancy. That said, the mashed potatoes steal the show—silky, buttery. Perfect for a casual meal with a touch of charm for people who visit Paris.

What a wonderful find — we stumbled in le Petit Marché as we wandered around our hotel’s neighborhood. The energy coming from the restaurant was wonderful — we were seated within 15 minutes of arriving, without a reservation, at 8:30 pm. We had a delicious meal — the team was very conscientious of our gluten-free needs. The food was great — flavors were subtle but delicious. The team was so nice, too. We would recommend the asparagus with crispy pancetta and the mushroom risotto for sure! The steak was lovely — the mash potatoes definitely stood out! Worth the visit!

Yelp
Cool upscale spot in an interesting neighborhood with a bustling yet cozy vibe. While they don't have an english menu the staff is accommodative towards tourists. While a reservation would be helpful it is not a must. The tables are packed close together similar to any Parisian restaurant and the menu offers and inventive spin on French Asian. The standout dishes include the tuna tostada with some Asian flavorings and garnishments as well as the duck filet with banana. Both were great and service was friendly enough. This spot is great if you're looking for something a little different. Portions are adequately sized but prices are on the upper end. For dessert we got the floating mochi like one, with hazelnut and coconut. It was okay, presentation was decent but the actual flavors didn't pack enough of a punch.

Yelp
Must go in Paris!! An amazing place where the food is authentic while the servers and staff are very welcoming to non-Parisians. Love their complimentary starter of fresh veggies with a dairy based dip. I ordered everything the server recommended which was shrimp tempura (nothing special, would skip) and the duck/bananas as a main - MUST get this dish!!! Duck cooked to absolute perfection. Wasn't a huge fan of the baby bananas together with the duck, but it was a nice sweet something after I finished my duck. Also got the creme brulee which was good not great though at this point i was dying full They take reservations which i would recommend! If you don't have a booking, come during off peak hours

Douglas W.

Yelp
Thankfully our Concierge recommended this neighborhood gem while we were recently in Paris. We had a great table with a fantastic server, who helped us make great decisions. Having had duck the evening before, I was not going to order it, until our server convinced me that it was a must try, and it did not disappoint. The caramelized banana was such a great compliment to the perfectly cooked duck! My wife had the tuna, and it was nothing short of delicious. The setting of this corner bistro is something from a movie. Quaint bar, perfect lighting and music softly in the background. When you find yourself in the Marais, make a reservation, or jump in the queue, you wont be disappointed.

Yelp
By far my favorite restaurant every-time I come to Paris! I've been coming with my family for over 8 years and it has always been so amazing! The staff is super nice. You definitely need a reservation or else you'll have to wait for a table as it is almost always packed. We went last night for dinner and were seated outside which was nice as the weather still allows it. I ordered the salmon tartare and the "magret de canard" which I order everytime and it was so good! It is also served with mashed potatoes which are divine! Definitely recommend coming here to anyone visiting or staying in Paris!

Diane V.

Yelp
The duck was soooo good. I ate there many years ago and still think about it. Hope to make my way back to Paris and try it again!

A S.

Yelp
The food was great. The service was good. The location on a quiet block with lovely outdoor seating and neat colorful lamps inside (where did those come from?). I love that they served carrots and cucumber with a dip before the meal.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
We are Americans wondering around Paris and trying new places to eat. After several days of eating mediocre food, we decided to try this place in the neighborhood we are staying based on the yelp reviews. Boy oh boy were we happy when we left. We ordered the steak, the mushroom risotto, and the duck and each dish was unique and delicious. Simple ingredients but amazing flavor combinations. To top it off, the stone walls, quiet side street location, and completely charming wait staff left us completely delighted. 10/10 will eat here again!

Bubber H.

Yelp
We walked here from our hotel, Villa Beaumarchaise, and it was fantastic. I would recommend reservations, as they were instantly filled when they opened at 19:00. We had a beautiful meal, the dorado fillet was exceptional in a citrus sauce, and the wine pairings suggested by the staff were as perfect. It is a cozy and comfortable and wonderful neighborhood French restaurant that is great for couples, small groups and families.

Scott L.

Yelp
Completely disagree with some of these Yelpers who claim they are rude to Americans. Quite the contrary. We arrived kinda late on a Sunday night, tired and hungry from traveling. They gave us a prime table out front. The only problem is, the Parisian way is to smoke and eat. We were seated 6 inches away from a table of 4 young French guys all chain smoking. We politely asked to move inside and they were super gracious and let us choose a table. It was still very hot out and the inside was hot as well. We asked them if we could change tables a 2nd time and the manager was so kind, he went out of his way to clear a table outside at the very end, super far away from the smoking. Then, the food was outstanding (especially since it was simply a corner bistro). We have the seared duck. Delicious. Again they could not have more kind and accommodating to us, they even brought us a bottle of melon liquor at the end of the meal, poured us a shot each and told us to drink as much as we like & left the bottle! Just try being nice to people from the start and they will likely return the kindness. Def go here if you are staying near the Place des Vosges.

Edwin R.

Yelp
Bonjour!! If you're ever in the local area of Marais, come dine here. Mostly frequented by locals only, so do practice your French as the staff speaks very little English. I was able to get by with my limited French but our waitress was very kind and patient. Their specialty here is their Grilled steak and French fries. Hahah... I know what you're thinking but just go with it.... :p. I did enjoy their French seared tuna and their homemade creme brulee was fantastic. Excellent service and open late till 11pm. We will definitely return back here again. Cheers!

Caroline E.

Yelp
Originally discouraged by a long wait, we could not have been happier with our meals. The steak au poivre and the lamb were phenomenal. The mango icecream was a hit at the end, and the street performer added a fun element. Wonderful local place. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Valy F.

Yelp
Big shout out to Ms Gwenn. This place is fantastic. I would eat everything on the menu and the vibe is off the charts. But the most amazing aspect was the service from Ms Gwenn. She was so warm and made you feel like you were a guest in her house hanging out with her family. If you're in Atlanta, you need to do brunch at this place. Ask for Ms Gwenn.

Tavistock B.

Yelp
We stumbled in around 7:15, and luckily were seated due to a cancellation [reservations definitely recommended]. By 8 pm the place was packed, and after eating, I understood why.... we are at the end of a 17 day trip abroad & this was by far our best meal of the trip. I had the entrecôte & raspberry tart for dessert. Both wonderful. My one complaint.... they were out of the house burgundy.

Sam S.

Yelp
oh my god i never post yelp reviews but order the lambchop or the steak or the lava cake or the creme brulee and try not to cry i love you le petit marché

Ben Ng H.

Yelp
The best Magret de canard! Must try! Other dishes are great too such as the scallops but you can probably have those somewhere too. The Magret de canard again is exceptional! Crispy on the outside, very flavorful and fruity source. You won't regret it.

Susan B.

Yelp
We felt very welcomed and the food was good. Seating was a little cramped though. Not recommended if you have issues with others getting too close to you personal space.

Marilen R.

Yelp
My favorite meal in Paris was here at Le Petite Marche. The cuisine is a subtle fusion of French and Asian. Highly recommend the salmon tar tar as an appetizer and for entree, the caramelized duck with side of roasted bananas. Great house wine as well.

Eric B.

Yelp
Unpretentious place filled with locals. Every time I visit I tell myself I'm going to try something different, and then I order the duck again. Delicious! It's always packed, so be sure to make a reservation!

Timothy L.

Yelp
A wonderful neighborhood spot in our favorite area of the Marais. Great food, attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere. The reviews about the restaurant sitting white peoples inside and Asian people outside are pretty strange, as we didn't see anything remotely to suggest a class system. The magret de canard was accompanied by a sauce that was too sweet, otherwise I'd give it five stars.

Mike H.

Yelp
Making a pilgrimage to the food mecca that is Paris could be difficult, and too often, there are simply too many well-reviewed restaurants falling short of expectations. Le Petit Marche is not one of them. On the contrary, it is a nice, cosy bistro with Asian-inspired cuisine rooted in French methods. They don't have a long list of fixed entrees, but there are two things that you really have to try here: Magret de Canard caramalise aux bananes (duck breast with caramelized bananas) and filet d'agneau (lamb filet). The duck breast was one of the best that I've had: the skin side was crisp and perfectly scored with most of the fat melted away; the duck meat itself was moist and tender while the wonderfully caramelized sauce was de-glazed in the duck's own fat. If you only plan to try one dish, make it this one! Aside from the food, we received an amazing service even though it was a busy night and frankly, this could have been a highlight of our evening just by itself. So, if you have only a couple of meals in Paris and don't want to fuss with a long list of recommended restaurants from various sources, do make a trip to Le Petit Marche, you won't regret it!

Yelp
I was trying to save my Yelping for post vacation but I MUST post for this restaurant. Delicious. I mean - I was almost speechless. This came as a recommendation from a friend who I had living here for a few years. It's a bit off the beaten path and they do not open until 7. But they allowed us to come in around 6pm - put our name down for a reservation and then her explored the area a bit. The Picasso museum is nearby if you plan to do that - and then you can go here for a nice dinner. It's nice as in it's seriously delicious and affordable. We got a bottle of the house wine the salmon tartar and two orders of the duck (Conard). The duck came with grilled bananas and then mashed potatoes and green beers to share. It was all some of the best food I've had. the duck was perfection. I can't even put it into words. Ahh I will have dreams of this place. And they ended the meal with a melon liquor on the house which was, again, delicious.

Liz S.

Yelp
Le Petit Marche is much-loved by tourists for its Asian inspired fare and buzzing atmosphere. Although there seemed to be few French speakers, it still has the air of a well-kept secret. Reservations are a must as they're always busy. The space is quite tight and it was unbearably warm in the summer time. Our appetizers were much needed after days of gorging on meat, cheese, and bread. My boyfriend's shiitake mushrooms (12 euro) was buttery and earthy, with lots of parsley. I had a refreshing green gazpacho. My boyfriend had the signature duck and banana (23 euro). The duck was cooked perfectly but I just didn't get the point of the grilled bananas. Sorry! I had a special fish dish which was flavorful and a nice healthy-ish way to cap off the trip. There are some cheap glasses of wine (6 euro) as well as beers and soft drinks. Menus are in French but nothing too difficult to translate, and some servers speak basic English. Service was solid but they have a lot to deal with. The space is a bit cramped for me, especially in the heat. It does feel like the place to be. Bathrooms are clean. It's on the pricey side for what it was, but it was a satisfying meal.

Hung N.

Yelp
Great food! Definitely keep this on my dining list. The duck was cooked just perfect.

M D.

Yelp
The food here is very good. I wanted to try the duck and plantain dish but ended up ordering the ravioli. Also a good selection of wine and the atmosphere at the restaurant is perfect.

Nina E.

Yelp
Best meal of my life. Hyperbole is scary, but this place? Merry. Okay, okay, I know it's gutsy to go out of your way and put on the internet forever what you think the best meal of your life was. I get it, people change, tastes change, and I sure hope I have many "best meals" ahead of me. But this place is truly amazing, and I'm going to call it the location of the best meal of my life for at least a bit. After a long day out exploring Paris, we went to Le Petit Marché based on a recommendation from someone who lives just around the corner. We walked in at around 9 p.m. and were immediately seated outside. I don't often like to compare to stereotypes, but there is something to be said about just HOW friendly the staff at this restaurant was to us (as tourists who do not speak French). While viewing the menu, our waitress sat next to us and translated each item into English. So, so nice. We ordered lamb and burrata salad, both of which were fantastic. Our waitress also recommended we order a risotto on the side, which complemented the meat beautifully. The baguette and wine were impeccable as well. Honestly, everything was amazing. J'adore Le Petit Marché.

Chris S.

Yelp
I usually never write review but this was very unpleasant racist experience so I had to write. We got to the restaurant at 7 and we are the first customer, and they said it is completely booked so they made us to sit outside. At first i was like okay thats understandable. But then till we finish our meal, inside tables were still empty and there were three groups of ASIAN Tables outside. Okay... i was like possible, i guess Asians don't usually make reservations. But then later there was white couple coming and looking at menu outside like they just are about to walk in. And they were served inside. Funny thing is, this waiter never really welcomed us. But once i started mention about this weird sitting situation, he suddenly acted friendly and started speaking Korean to us. Its all suspicions but eating outside while all inside tables are served for white people and asian sitting outside, it is definitely not pleasant experience. But food was good.

Alex F.

Yelp
A few blocks north of Place des Voges, this small bistro looks like many of its French compatriots, with a range of outside tables and a charming interior. But it's different. The food, some of which has Asian-inspired elements, is outstanding. The summer special appetizer of melon and prosciutto was complemented by mozzarella, and surrounded with a tasty, mint-infused melon sauce. It was excellent. So to was the tuna tartare appetizer, with beautiful pieces of tuna surrounded by sesame seeds and accompanied by two sauce options. The entree tuna "millefeuille" was creative, zesty, and delicious, and came with a side of mashed potatoes. Finish it all off with the fruit tarte and you'll be happy! Service was excellent and considering we had three courses and a carafe of wine, the €90 price was great.

Valene G.

Yelp
My steak was phenomenal!!! I really enjoyed my dinner. The ambiance was amazing. And the service was great! It's such a cute little cozy spot. Perfect for date night or dinner with friends. The dessert menu was good too. I do recommend that you make a reservation on the weekend. I can't comment on whether or not it is required during the week. But overall. It was fantastic!!

Tom R.

Yelp
This was a recommendation from a friend of mine that lived in Paris previously and was one of their favorite places. We liked it so much that in our first two days there we had three meals there. We worked our way through most of the menu in our time there. I highly recommend the duck, the veal, and the lamb all extremely tasty and well prepared. The shiitake mushroom appetizer was amazing. This is my new favorite for Paris. The service is exceptional as well here and they were very accommodating. Don't miss the most awesome mashed potatoes I've ever had totally buttery and amazing!

Lalaine B.

Yelp
Very good. Lots of flavor. Tasty. I would come here again when I'm in Paris. They should get English menu. But note Server did know some English and was able to ask if you want fish or meat. Food came out and was very delicious.

J A.

Yelp
Fun local bistro. Neighborhood was super quiet on a Monday night and all of the sudden you walk into this tiny spot and its incredibly loud and lively. Tables really close together. Everyone having a good time. Food and service were pretty good. Menu is in French but they'll translate if you have questions. Small amount of asian influence in some items. Lamb was good. Cooked pretty rare which I liked. Shrimp appetizer was kind of like a fried wonton thing....light flaky crust. Was alright. Mashed potato side was best thing we had. So good. Fun place but very loud and close quarters. Make a reservation.

Arjun V.

Yelp
The food and atmosphere were both great! It's a bit on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it for the experience. The only let down was the service speed: the servers weren't very adept at multitasking, and we were left with our hands waving in the air for the bill for a good 10 minutes before someone noticed us. They're really friendly, though -- and they speak English -- so this made up for it. On a side note, the " magret de canard " was really good and tender, but do note that it's extremely rare, so if this isn't your cup of tea, you should probably avoid this dish. It's accompanied by mashed potatoes and "grilled bananas", but both of these and pretty bland and uninspiring. Just a warning!

Dan P.

Yelp
a friendly and delicious neighborhood spot in Le Marais. recommend making reservations for the evening if you plan to dine here. it gets quite busy. we stopped by for a light brunch. ordered a few things but for some reason i can only remember the quinoa salad. there was some ingredient in the dressing that made it taste just awesome. they also give you some nougat candies with the bill, which i ate the next day and made me want to go back for more.

Philip C.

Yelp
This was a delicious meal for us. My loving partner ordered the lamb and we both agreed that it was the best we had ever tasted. I had the steak and it was very good - the gravy-type side made it very unique. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake and some sort of pistachio dish. Both were very fine. You won't go wrong eating here. For some reason, we didn't get bread or carrots/celery like the other customers but that was the only shortcoming. Our waiter was extremely friendly and spoke English very well. He expertly guided us to an excellent culinary experience.

Juan T.

Yelp
The food was great and the waitress was very friendly and helpful since we could not read the menu. We had the shrimp/prawns for an appetizer and lamb and steak with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner. We had the chocolate cake and creme brûlée for our dessert. This was one of our favorite restaurants in Paris. It was also small and quaint which we prefer. You should have reservations but they were able to accommodate us after a short wait although we were there on a weekday. May have been a problem on the weekend.

Mary Ann H.

Yelp
My daughter and i ate here with a Parisien friend four years ago. And when we returned to Paris this past June, we had to also return to this restaurant. we love it. big portions, fine wine, great dessert. friendly atmosphere, good service, both times ordered Duck,. will definitely return to Le Petit Marche on our next trip. Recommend it to anyone coming to Paris.

Elvis T.

Yelp
Fantastic food, wine and service. Highly recommend the duck, it is one of the best dishes I've tasted and is 10x better than Jules Le Verne at the Eiffel Tower. Off the beaten path of tourist areas but well worth it.

Irene D.

Yelp
French food with an Asian twist on some dishes. They make one of my favorite magrets de canard here and their potato puree is always spot on. Their tartare is pure French-Asian fusion; they add in cilantro and slightly pickled carrots mixed with a nuoc-mum-like sauce to lighten a typically heavy dish. I have eaten here more times than I can count. You will have a good meal here though service can definitely range depending on how busy they are. Just order more wine. Sometimes they send you off with a limoncello (or meloncello?) shot.

Vicki C.

Yelp
We went with a group of 10 amazing food and excellent service from Kevin thank you! Highlight was the tuna and the Chinese salad special call out for the complimentary Grand Marnier we will return !!!

Tom Y.

Yelp
I went here for dinner with my friend who moved to Paris from NYC. She said that it has extremely solid Asian-inspired French food, which I was interested to try. We made our way over to the restaurant a bit late for our reservation, but still managed to get seated. There were lots of foreigners eating here, mainly British, and I saw a Korean group! We ordered the sea bream ceviche to start and all of us ordered the duck breast main. We also got a carafe of the Graves red wine from Château Monbazan. The wine was great (I'm not really a wine person though, so take that with a grain of salt). It was only €17 for a good six glasses, which was great. The ceviche starter was brilliantly executed, with not much acidity (almost a tartare). I liked the light seasoning, which really highlighted the freshness of the bream. It was great topped on the baguettes! The duck breast was so good. It was cooked to a perfect rare and then thinly sliced (like seriously thinly sliced) and it was an absolute pleasure to eat. The sauce was not overpowering at all (slightly sweet) and it went well with the mashed potatoes and green beans that came with the meal. We decided to skip dessert (looked pretty average and not spectacular), as we were very full (funny story, no word in French for full with regards to eating). The service was very slow, but I think that's about normal in Paris. Definitely recommend this place, but make a reservation!

Joyce G.

Yelp
Overall very good experience. Everything in the menu looked very attractive and delicious. The only downside is the menu in French only. If don't speak any French, you'll have a hard time with the menu

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Excellent small restaurant with truly Parisian menu options. We were recently in Paris and had the BEST meal of the trip here. Can't recommend highly enough!!

Ashley O.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Fresh, flavorful, and desiccant. I definitely will come back. We asked the server for suggestions and he just knew. I love to ask the servers for to just bring good food instead of stressing over the menu. Price is worth it. The rose was superb.

Randy D.

Yelp
I have not been to this restaurant in years. They've changed Chefs and the food has improved dramatically for the better. But here's a few problems I have with this restaurant. #1 they turn tables. #2 they're very bad at turning tables. #3 they lie, which is the worse thing you can do. We arrived at 8 pm, the time our reservations were made. They told us our table wasn't ready and it'd be a few more minutes, so we waited. About half an hour later we asked what was going on? and asked to speak to the manager. The manager said our reservations was for 7:30, which we clearly said NO way. Locals do not make reservations at 7:30? American tourist do, but NOT locals (which we are). And, they gave our table away. A friend would not accept this and basically said you get our table ready cause we made reservations, and I don't care how you do it. Another group followed us and were told I assume the same lie, so they left and we believe we got their tables. Once inside we had a wonderful time. However, the noise level was unbelievably loud. Would I go back, ABSOLUTELY NOT, for the primary reason I don't like going to restaurants that turn the tables, which is a new concept in Paris and they're very bad at it! And, my philosophy about dining in Paris, it has to be about the overall experience.

Hélène S.

Yelp
After living in Paris for a while, french food can become a bit dull (except breakfast pastries... those always hit the spot). Solution? You've found it. It's traditional cuisine with an asian spin - i.e. asian beef tartare - plus lots of amazing fish dishes. This restaurant is a local hotspot and so do take the effort to make a reservation if you don't want to wait for your table. It's open throughout the day (however, only serving food for the lunch and dinner period) EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK ! What did I tell you ? Not your typical french restaurant (: PS. try the chinese chicken salad !

Angelene B.

Yelp
Excellent food! We had the salmon tartar and Chinese salad as appetizers. And then we had duck with caramelized bananas, rib eye steak with pepper sauce. Everything was so delicious!

Richard B.

Yelp
Don't even think of coming here without a reservation. Service is a little scattered because of how busy they are but the food is always spot on. Crostillant shrimp, salad with goat cheese brick and tuna Mille feuille were all excellent. I enjoyed my duck breast with grilled bananas. This should always be on your "must go to" list

Hilary Y.

Yelp
Delicious!! Recommended by a friend... they sat us at the last table remaining. Had a beautiful dinner of duck and the steak special. Such a lovely meal.

Darren F.

Yelp
Intimate cafe one block from the Place des Vosges. We sat on the terrace, but decor was described as "extremely cute" (read: hip) by my wife. Service was about as good as you're likely to get in France: The waiters mostly spoke English and were fairly understanding of our cultural misunderstandings; no French haughtiness that I could detect. Food was great, especially the cod (cabillaud); definitely a cut above your average sidewalk bistrot. Quality, quantity, presentation, the whole deal. Be forewarned that if you want to get away from the tourists, you're outta luck here: This was apparently mentioned in one of the tourist guides and attracts well over 50% expat constituency.
