After an unbelievable meal in Montmarte, we weren't ready to go back to the hotel just yet. Given it was our last night in one of the most magical cities, we wanted to extend the fun as long as we could. Forget an early morning flight - one extra night cap was calling our name.
If you ever find yourself strolling the streets of the beautiful and historic neighborhood, Montmarte - you'll find yourself being lured into a lot of interesting looking cafes, bars, galleries, and more. Well, Le Petit Moulin's street appeal and charming adorable size was no exception, and had us hooked. We walked in only to be surprised it was much smaller than even how small it seems from the street. At this point, I like it even more.
We were gregariously greeted from the bar, which was 10 feet away from the door, asking if we wanted the amber or dark beer. Two choices of beer and that's it. They keep it simple, much like McSorley's in New York. Although, I am not sure if this bar dates back to that time, the ambiance brings you back to time of the turn of the 19th century in Paris and all the Bohemians that enjoyed cafes much like this one. Friends and strangers alike engaging with one another in tight quarters - it certainly gives off that quintessential vibe that's the very reason people fall in love with Paris.
It's intimate, warm, and lovely and I am so happy we stumbled upon it!
