"We always recommend seeing a city by boat and this 45-minute tour around Montréal’s Old Port on a small electric ship is our pick—skip the large tourist cruises and you’ll see lots of landmarks, including the architectural icon Habitat 67." - Coolstuff Team

Google
This was one of the best parts of my Montreal trip. The captain and the tour guide were so kind and funny! It is a small and personal group which is very fun. They even take you into the rapids which is super cool on a small boat. They offer the guide in English and French on the same tour if both are needed. I reccomended the evening boat, it was so pretty!

I grew up in Montreal and have been here countless times but had never done the canal cruise in Le Petit Navire. What a wonderful experience! Great scenery and the guide explained so much about the economic and social history. I’d gladly recommend this to any friends coming to Montreal!

Google
Great water tour of Old Montreal. I highly recommend it. It’s worth what you pay. The guides take on the city and its history made it really fun! The Captain was great as well! The battery operated boat is beautiful. Smooth sailing and safe for the environment.

Google
Great experience to see Montreal from the water. The staff are kind and helpful and the guide very knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, immersing in the views and history.

Google
Did tour of Lachine Canal which also included a small excursion into the St. Lawerence/Old Port area at the end. It was great! I have never seen functioning canal locks before so that was very exciting. Lot of great history, old industry and more modern architecture highlighted. Would highly recommend!

Google
Really fun guide. The boats cool to be on. They show you some cool views of Montreal from a different perspective. They don’t travel very far tho, had they of gone out of the vicinity of where they dock it’d give it a 5. Still highly recommend tho it’s a fun thing to do.

Google
Fun, affordable activity with nice views and descriptions of sights. Only critique is that too many people were allowed on board. This made it difficult to turn and see the sights because you’re too close to each other to move.

Yelp
This tour was great and informative. I easily booked online for the same day. The boat was quiet and it was easy to hear the guide. It was a small group so it was overall very calm. The guide went around to help every group take a photo. You can purchase alcohol on the boat. They spoke English as everyone on the boat did, otherwise they can do the tour in French and English.

Yelp
The best boat tours in Montreal. I have done three of them now: the Old Port, the Fireworks, and the Canal Lachine. Always excellent, great value, and no nasty smells because they run on clean electricity!

Yelp
Had a great time on this 45 minute cruise. Perfect amount of time to see the city from the water and learn about Montréal.

Yelp
Great tour guided by enthusiastic (and very knowledgeable) young sailors or by the veteran captains themselves. The whole staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming. There are two tours, one 45 minutes one in the Old Port harbour during which you learn about Montréal's origins and history since then. And another, on certain dates only, which takes you up (and down if you wish) the Lachine Canal all the way to the Atwater Market. The small boats are the only fully ecological way to visit Montréal's waters. Some beverages are available once on board!

Yelp
The staff put in the effort, but this is a very slow, very boring tour of Montréal harbor. I've never taken a boat tour before where I was really glad when it was over until now.

Yelp
This is a 45 minute tour of the Montreal harbor on a little boat that happens to have an electric, non-polluting engine. The captain was very entertaining and informative. The actual views you see are not very impressive; not because of some short fall of the tour, but because Montreal really doesn't have anything pretty to look at from the harbor. If you have a choice, take the Le Petit Navire Lachine Canal tour instead of the Harbor tour.

Yelp
Very pleasant cruise of the St. Lawrence River. Excellent customer service, and we had a very friendly captain. A bargain and a wonderful family experience

Yelp
Great short (1 hour) harbor tour of Montreal in small electric boat. Not huge boat like other tours in Montreal and the captain walks around speaking in both languages, unlike obnoxious depersonalized PA systems. Very pleasant; easy to strike up conversations with other travelers. Simple to find along the waterfront, reasonably prices. Note: while there is a roof overhead the sides are open so dress appropriately.
