"I love walking (and lounging) around Canal Saint-Martin, especially when the sun is out. Get a cappuccino at Ten Belles, and when hunger strikes stop by Du Pain et des Idées for one of their amazing escargot pastries. You’ll inevitably stumble upon other cute shops and restaurants as you go." - Elise Taylor

Super friendly bar/cafe. Really accommodating. Even made us a club sandwich long after the kitchen had closed. I would highly recommend this place, the staff are so welcoming. I will make sure to call in again during my next trip to Paris

EDIT 08 March 2023: I attempted to eat at this place back in September. My review was only posted a few days ago as I had violated a rule in my review. I deleted that bit and it was published. Therefore the establishment’s response that they remember this is a joke! Original review below. I wanted to have dinner at this place due to the good reviews. I arrived around 9:30 and went inside to ask about the terrace, speaking in my limited French. The guy behind the bar said, quite loudly, no terrace! I then asked for a table for dinner and specified that I wanted to sit outdoors. He then told me, even louder, no outside! Pointed to a table inside (no other people inside). Then yelled something I couldn’t really understand but I got the hint: if you are an American, stay away from here!

Yelp
They have good drinks that's for sure. Typical French Brasserie with decent grub and a tv for watching sports and tucked away a bit farther than most tourist sites. I thought it was great. Drinks taste good, burger was tender, can't complain about it, though I think I was the only one eating since I had basically travelled all day prior. This place definitely has more of a bar vibe than an eatery, but the service was pretty good whenever I wanted to get a new drink. Just note that it is noisy af so don't come here if you want a quiet dinner, because you're definitely not getting that lol. The burger I had is extremely tender and delicious, but I think the French Mule (French version of the Moscow Mule) was splendid! I definitely prefer this drink over the latter. Overall, nice spot.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch our first afternoon in Paris. I had a croque-monsieur, which was delicious, but the table next to me had the lunch special, which looked even better. Friendly staff, inexpensive good wine and beer.

Yelp
This place was right outside of the AirBnb that my friends and I rented, and so we came here for dinner after not being able to find anything else to eat in the neighborhood. I ordered the house burger, which cost about 10 Euro, and in all honestly, was very plain and forgettable. The best part of the course were probably the fries that came along with it. One of the more interesting observations that my friends and I made while in the restaurant was that we were probably the only people eating, while everyone else in the building was near the bar, enjoying drinks and the game on tv. This should have tipped us off immediately that it wasn't the greatest place to get dinner. If you are willing to travel a bit further around the area, you will probably find better restaurants for about the same price.
