Le Plaza Hotel

Recently went to Haiti and stayed at this hotel with my family. We had 7 rooms in total for us. I like that we were all in the same hallway. The rooms were pretty clean. They (cleaning staff) come to clean the rooms everyday but some rooms would be forgotten and not get cleaned up. But we called the reception to get those rooms clean and they did. The staff there is very nice and never gets tired off reactivating key cards with that gets disactivated from being near electronics (especially phones). The food is tiny bit pricey but still affordable for the most part. My only issue was, they never had everything listed on the menu. But for the most part they had some foods and they tasted wonderful. The staff at the restaurant/bar is great especially (Jerry). They are respectful, helpful, understanding, and caring. Wonderful staff. Everything else was great, there isn’t much to complain about. I had a wonderful/magical homey experience there with my family. I would definitely recommend it.

This was my 4th visit to Le plaza and it gets better every time. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with warm welcomes, smiles and comments welcoming us back which made us feel at home. The grounds were as green and beautiful as ever forcing you to relax, the pool as usual was spotless and is cleaned every morning. The room was cleaned to perfection every day and we enjoyed many meals at the restaurant which were always delicious. The meals are expensive by American standard but have always been to a high standard, I would recommend the steak in coffee sauce and my husband loved the creole chicken. We will of course visit again in the near future.

So first off I'd like to say that this is my FIRST time ever writing a review for a hotel and I've been to many throughout my travels. This hotel has BY FAR the best staff that I've ever been around. I stayed for about a week and man was I always excited to see the people every time I left the room! The area is very close to the many sites of the city and is gated and well guarded.The rooms are very comfortable and The food is amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Haiti!

This is my third time stay at Le Plaza Hotel, I honestly have to say this place is amazing the staff treated me like family, hey are friendly, kind, and professional, even the secuity officers are extremely kind and very welcoming, took time time to have small conversation making me feel at ease. I appreciated management for a wonderful place. Evry time I stayed there I enjoyed my stay, the food is great, the room is very confortable and evrything works, I had no problems whatsoever. GREAT JOB! I like to thank Lukenson and all kitchen staff for their help and ensure me my family had a wonderful stay.

We stayed here for a couple nights. We enjoyed our stay!||||The inner courtyard (where the pool and restaurant are) is lovely. There are lots of flowers and other plants that make it feel like a tropical oasis. The pool looked clean and there were lounge chairs around it.||||The rooms were great! The bed was comfortable. It had lots of amenities- mini fridge, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and safe. The bathroom was good and they had great hot water. They provided some toiletries and 2 bottles of drinking water.||||The restaurant is pretty good. We were there on Mother's Day, so they were only serving a buffet, no ordering from the menu. The food that day was good. I had grilled conch, which I really enjoyed. The second night we ordered off the menu. I got the tropical fish, which came in a coconut and fruit sauce. It was good. Their beers are icy cold! For the most part, the service was good, and there were some really lovely people who worked there. The only problem was that the second night, the server we had seemed to be in a massive rush to get us to leave, even though we only sat down to eat at about 7pm. ||||There is no elevator, so if you have trouble with stairs make sure you get a ground floor room. ||||They have an ATM machine which is very convenient.||||The wifi and air conditioner worked well.||||It was pretty quiet, though the rooms near the parking lot are noisier because they are closest to the plaza. The parking lot was secure. ||||I can't comment on the area around the hotel, because we didn't have a chance to explore.||||They were able to arrange airport pickups for us. It was a bit expensive, but they were reliable.||||I would definitely stay here again!

We had a nice lunch here the other day. Can't say much about the rooms since we haven't stayed here, but the food was good. The pool looks inviting. There's a cool bar area too. Would totally recommend for a business lunch. The staff was super friendly.

Very nice hotel, give a feeling of a resort! It has a restaurant which is open until 8pm. The location is quite central, is about 25 minutes driver from the airport, and the security is maximum as is the need of the city. All staff is smiling around all the time. Recommended - Rose from reception is very helpful!

Good points: central location (close to many institutions), very welcoming employees, good haitian food, cleanliness. But prices are too high compared to the services offered: 1hour to get a salad, not always hot water in bathroom.||If you have to work, avoid rooms close to the restaurant (loud music until 11pm), air conditioning noisy in the rooms. ||The hotel's website indicates prices from $81, but those rooms do not seem to exist.||(avoid it during the carnival season, activities take place in front of the hotel: rooms at $400/ night and a lot of noise)
