Really nice experience at a bistronomie in Besancon. The food is traditional french regional but great quality. The portions are way enough for a person. Highly recommended.

Apart from the slightly short menu this is a great place to visit. Friendly team serving local specialities which were all excellent. Upmarket and formal service but casual atmosphere. Dinner for two and 2 glasses of local wine was 76 euros.

Had a great lunch here after it came highly recommended by several people. We booked in advance and although I was a bit sad that the sun was shining so brightly and we were going inside to eat lunch, the food made it all worth it. The chicken with morels and Vin Jaune sauce was so delicious and served in an adorable little copper pot, along with very savoury succulent rice. I also loved the excellent cheeseboard with it's Comte (the waiter couldn't tell me the age of the cheese though) and home made Cancoillote. The desserts were also impressive - a moist chocolate tart with a rich chocolate sorbet and a divine peach compote in a white chocolate shell with apricot ice cream. The latter served in a very impressive sculptural style with a chocolate ring and lots of figs. Unusually for such a 'fancy' dessert it was also absolutely delicious! Friendly and kind service, with charming waiters and a really friendly vibe. Also extremely reasonable prices, despite it being a 'special' place. If I lived in Besancon I would be a regular.

This was a great experience. We booked a party of 9 and when we arrived the restaurant was empty, which is always worrisome. But shortly after we were seated, the place began to fill up. Our welcome was very warm and the service from beginning to end was terrific. We had the menu formula and although the quality was very high, the price came to only about 30€ per person including wine. For this type of service, this was a very good price. If I find myself back in Besançon, I will definitely be back.
