The food was delicious and service polite. We ordered the French onion soup, starter salad, beef stew, and duck. The soup was flavourful and the cheese tasty. The salad was a good mix with the salty ham and melon. The duck was juicy and prepared well. The small criticism is the stew needed a small amount of extra salt but you could add it yourself. The overall meal for 2 was about €87 but well worth it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. My waiter, Allan was excellent, he was not only attentive, but he kept my oarty and I laughing. I also appreciated the fact that they were able to adjust the menu to accommodate the fact that my daughter has some allergies! Excellent place to dine!

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was delicious, prepared with great attention to detail, and the flavors were outstanding. The service was truly top quality – friendly, attentive, and professional, which made us feel very well taken care of. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, and we’re really glad we decided to come here. Highly recommended!

I came here a few years back when it was a cute little 30 seat restaurant and was blown away by the perfection it was. Not fancy. Just really lovely. Great food and wine at reasonable prices, in a relaxed atmosphere. So I was a bit worried coming back and finding it is now 130 seats and had a great big kitchen. Surely it couldn't be as good as the first time? Well, I can confirm, it was WONDERFUL. The service, the food, the wine, the setting. It was all just.... Perfect. I have recommended this place to all of my friends that come to Paris and I will continue to do so. What a lovely gem.

Google
The 7 hours slow cooked lamb and the duck were super delicious!!! Definitely recommended ❤️❤️❤️ Sashka was super nice and warm with small talks. It was a great experience eating here at Le Poulbot 😋

Google
Felipe was the best! And the food was amazing! I had the beef stew and my wife had the bass … both were delicious. Salmon Gravlax and onion soup to start. Highly recommend. Highly. Live music in place across the street so added to the ambiance.

Friendly, super helpful service. Excellent food. Very knowledgeable about gluten. We really enjoyed the homemade duck confit. The French fries were the best I’ve had in a long time.

Google
Conveniently located at the most touristy center of Montmartre, but also managed to present one of the best meals we’ve had in Paris. Duck confit was perfectly cooked with a great accompanying jus with balsamic Beef entrecôte was medium rare as requested with a good crust and tender inside, well-seasoned. The caramel on the crème brûlée was slightly burnt, but the raspberry within was a nice touch. Good service from the serveuse. Way beyond expectations for a restaurant in such a touristy spot!

Yelp
Stopped at Le Poulbot for lunch in Montmarte and had the onion soup and the charcuterie board. This was the best onion soup we had (and we ordered at three different restaurants) while visiting Paris. The broth was rich with plenty of caramelized onions mixed with thick pieces of broth soaked croutons and gooey melted cheese on top. It was the perfect comforting food for a chilly day. The restaurant is on a corner just down from the Place du Terte square and has a charming atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive making the whole dining experience very cozy. Make sure you add Le Poulbot to your list when visiting Paris!

Yelp
Food 3.5 stars, presentation 5, ambiance 4, service 4. Gorgeous presentation, as evidenced by my meal and watching several pass by me. As for food, it was good; much, much better than the tourist trash nearby. That said, fries were a touch soggy, the steak was a tad overdone for my taste, and they didn't ask how I'd like it, and I forgot to clarify. The sauce was good but not magnificent. Service was polite and efficient. Bathrooms: Downstairs. Small, as expected, but decent room, and clean.

Yelp
Ambiance was cozy, but service itself was slow. Had a party of four and the food did not come until 40 minutes+ passed. The food itself was pretty good, perfect because Paris was chilly when we were there. The Onion soup was by far the best that day, but in terms of overall service and food, it wasn't anything incredible.

Yelp
Came to Le Poulbot as we had planned to visit Montmartre as soon as we got into Paris. Made sure to have a reservation ahead of time! We got here a little late, but it wasn't a problem. This was definitely a traditional outdoor French dining experience. Ordered the beef bourguignon, onion soup, foie gras, escargot, and beef carpaccio as entrées. Of these, my favorite was definitely the beef bourguignon and beef carparccio. Also had the strawberry pavlova as dessert, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better! Price-wise, not the best relative to how much food we got, but it was still solid. Staff here were alright. One of the servers curiously tried to sit us at a four person table to share with other diners, to which we quickly axed that idea. Didn't even make sense to us as there were plenty of other seats available. Other than that, they were friendly enough. Glad I tried this as it is good food in a popular area.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly, perhaps it wasn't crowded yet, however, it soon got crowded shortly afterwards. Fast and friendly service. Restroom was small.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel, and what a great recommendation it was! All the food was delicious. We started with a mixed cheese and charcuterie board, which was heaping with a nice selection of meats and cheeses, as well as small pickles and salad. This was the first time I'd had pate, and I really enjoyed it. For a main I got the piece of beef. It was covered in a herb butter and it was delicious. A very flavorful piece of meat. My boyfriend got the duck, we're both big duck fans, and this one really stood out. The salad and fries that came with both were also very nice. Maybe these were the best fries we came across. There was also a flawless dessert, a strawberry crumble with strawberry ice cream. It was so light, flavorful, and the textures were all on point. The two servers at this restaurant were also excellent. Very funny and sweet. One thing to note is the restaurant is extremely small. Maybe half the indoor tables require the table to be moved to let someone sit down on the other side. For me, it added character, but for some it could be very uncomfortable.

Yelp
Our favorite place in Paris for a duck confit! We originally stumbled on this cute restaurant in the Montemarte district two years ago- at the time, it was a small store with a few tables inside and outside. The duck was so good we decided to venture back this year and we're delighted to see that they had expanded their operation - adding many more tables outside. The location is perfect and the food was as good as I remember. I had the same thing- french onion soup (salty, cheesy goodness) and the duck confit - duck was a liiiiittttlllee drier than I remember it from last time, but the flavor was exactly as exquisite as I remembered it to be. Still our go to place for duck in Paris, at a super reasonable price point. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
This is such a charming small restaurant. Our server was so alive and fun, she made our meal amazing with her beautiful personality. This might have been our best meal visiting Paris. The food was fresh, delicious and perfect. Our server recommended drinks for us and they were all amazing. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Paris that had very high ratings and was well recommended. It's a tiny little space around the corner from the main walking area. I had reservations, and we were 30 minutes early, but we were accommodated even though they were packed. The service was fast and friendly. Since it was raining and a cold day we started with vin Chaud and chocolate Chaud. Then we got their version of onion soup. It was deconstructed and a great alternative to the French standard. I ordered another classic dish to share, the beef Bourgogne served. This too was a little different from the classic dish and I enjoyed it just as much. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in Paris and especially those visiting Montmartre.

Yelp
This place didn't disappoint. Glad we waited and tried this place in Montmartre. It's definitely worth visiting.

Yelp
This quaint restaurant is a definite gem. With only 1 chef in this 10 table venue, they do an amazing job! Tables are intimate and close like most Parisian restaurants in a very popular area. It is minutes from the church. I ordered the FILET DE BAR TERIYAKI, PESTO AUX HERBE and my friend: the ordered french onion soup. It was seasoned perfectly. The fish was fresh and not overly sauced. The root veggies were complimented nicely with a pesto drizzled. So delish! The dessert was finished as quickly as it was delivered. I was immensely satisfied to say the least!

Yelp
Everything was wonderful, the food was great and the service even better. We had the Burrata with tomatoes which was so good! Then my bf had the Beef Borgognone-delicious! They had delicious vegetarian options for me as well. The ambiance is cosy and intimate. Highly recommend Also, thank you to the staff who made my birthday special. Merci beaucoup !

Yelp
We absolutely loved our two dinners here recently. We especially enjoyed the warm, friendly, laid back service and the desserts. The staff is just terrific, and welcomed us like family. We cannot recommend this place strongly enough.

Yelp
Be prepared to be turned away despite having a reservation. Overrated place with rude waiter, turned us away twice despite having a reservation the People ahead of us did not have any reservation but sat them down. We know because we made small talk with them. Waiter was rude and just said we can't sit you. Pictures attached as evidence. I would not recommend this place.

Yelp
Nice local spot in Paris for dinner. Wasn't the best meal I had all trip and wouldn't say it's a place you have to go to on a vacation. Overall, decent spot with good duck.
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Definitely a hole-in-the-wall, and tightly packed, but tastefully decorated and good quality. The Poulbot salad was excellent, and healthful to boot.
google avatar

Karma S.

Yelp
Wow! After being recommended to go there to have dessert after our dinner, we sat down as a party of five to order two desserts to share. The chef refused to serve us since we were a party of five only ordering two desserts. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant. I just cannot believe the rudeness of a restaurant that would not serve dessert when we were recommended from the restaurant across the street.

Yelp
Le Poulbot is a rare gem tucked on a side street in the tourist trap area west of Sacre Coeur. My wife and I were looking for a fast meal, and went in because it was jammed. During the short wait for our food, I paged through the Yelp reviews and was surprised to see the number that praised the Poulbot salad I had ordered. I mean, what's so special about a salad? Well, I found out - tasty ham, a variety of greens and seeds, light, tangy dressing - I never thought the last bite of a dinner salad could still taste interesting, but it did. My wife's duck confit was also particularly tasty, and nicely crisp. Don't miss this place, if you can squeeze in.

Hannah N.

Yelp
Must hit restaurant! Charming and beautiful location. The French onion soup was the best I have ever had! The summer ceviche was fresh and delicious. The steak with frites was tender and flavorful. The duck was the best thing on the menu and the clear standout!
google avatar

Yelp
This was easily our favorite meal in Paris! The French onion soup was the best we've ever had. Even my daughter, who usually isn't a fan, loved it! The flavor was so great, and the huge piece of melted cheese and bread in the center was amazing. We also ordered the boeuf bourguignon which had the best flavor! We were sipping up the last pieces of the juice with the bread because it was that good! We also tried the beef carpaccio and we also really loved it. The herbs that they used to flavor the beef and the greens was excellent. The fries were crispy and delicious. My sister had the bass and said it was incredible as well. We ended our meal with the crème brûlée and it was perfection. We kept saying that we wished we had found this place earlier in our trip because we would love to go back and try more things on the menu. The service was perfect and we were shocked that anyone gave it less than 5 stars.

Sungyi C.

Yelp
One of our favorite meals in Paris! Also kind, friendly service. Ordered the onion soup, starter salad, and duck quarter plate. The onion soup was a classic, the salad was fresh. The duck leg quarter was cooked well and not greasy at all. The fries that come with the duck are lightly dusted with sugar. Definitely recommend making a reservation, which is easy to do through their website. It got crowded during lunch time really quickly. The restaurant was a small space so it was a little hard to get in and out of the table. side note: they don't take American Express

Yelp
Great little spot near Montmartre. Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. Restaurant is very cozy.

Don D.

Yelp
Tiny place in Montmartre. I probably couldn't find it again. I love the name because it is so simple - Le Poulbot means something like street kids. The food was just like that - simple, good and hearty. Very friendly service, the manager happy to speak English. We had duck confit and it was great. I'm not a huge duck fan, but if all duck was like this I would be. Great meal. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
We went in without reservations and they were able to accommodate us. We ordered the entree salad and the duck confit. Both were delicious. The service was terrific. I would recommend that you eat here when in the area!

Yelp
This place has it all. Service is engaging and attentive. The food is delicious and the location is perfect in Montmartre. The onion soup was so good I had another one for desert. They said I was the first person to order a second one but that cannot be true. The steak frites was perfectly cooked, which is difficult for a thin cut ribeye. The duck confit was great as well. Highly recommend.

David V.

Yelp
Location and quaintness is nice, did not enjoy the onion soup, snails or beef bourguignon. Had much better elsewhere.
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
Easily our best meal in Paris. We had the French Onion Soup, Burrata, Duck Confit, Escargot, and the Beef Bourguignon. The house bread was a perfect accompaniment. It's a small space. You'll feel like people are on top of you, in the best way. Service was exceptional. This was the perfect example of great value. If there's a complaint to be had, I thought it odd their cocktails were so Caribbean and South American. It would have been great to have a Sidecar. This didn't damper things. The wine and beer list were fantastic.

Michelle W.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and the duck confit is cooked in perfection, the creme brulee is not too sweet and good for 3 people to share.

Simone D.

Yelp
This is a tiny place located amidst the chaos of sacré cœur. Made a fairly last minute reservation for an impromptu family meal. The food was great, everything from the staters to the desserts. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend, just make a reservation. It's easy to do, easier if you understand French.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife had the duck confit and loved it. I had a bite and thought it was excellent too. Crispy skin, moist meat, well seasoned. Definitely recommend. I had the special of the day, which was a sausage dish. Wasn't bad. Our salads that came with our entrees were simple but fresh. Fries were fairly standard. . Onion soup was good and the creme brulee was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly. The Pinot noir they serve by the glass was excellent! Overall, a pretty good restaurant. No complaints!

Abigail K.

Yelp
Very adorable restaurant in a charming neighborhood. Very small and I would recommend a reservation. The staff was polite and the food was all incredible.

Yelp
Restaurant is small but the food and service was excellent. We had: - Snails with butter poulbot style - Goose rillette - Duck confit with french fries - Fresh fish with roasted potatoes - Crème brûlée - Passion fruit panna cotta

Steve N.

Yelp
We had the best meal of our 2 week European vacation here. The duck confit was marvelous and the service was great! We also had escargot, onion soup, and crème brûlée, all were fantastic! A really good value.

Holly H.

Yelp
Excellent find - small but lovely breeze if you sit out front. We had the burrata, Poulbot salad, escargot, bass filet, and piece of beef (steak frites). Everything was excellent. Service was fun and helpful. Lovely spot.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
A beautiful little artsy cafe with excellent food and service. The waiter Edwardo was especially kind with a genuine smile, speaking to the table next to us in Spanish, speaking to us in English and then of course French. It was a beautiful cultural experience! And the FOOD! Escargot, duck confit and creme brûlée for me, French onion soup, ham and creme brûlée for him. Everything was perfect! They were out of French fries but the substitute of potatoes with caramelized onions and arugula were so good I think we lucked out!! This was my first escargot experience and I'm so glad I tried it here, the snails were out of their shells (no Pretty Woman scene for me) and in a scrumptious mixture of I don't know what but it was delicious. The place is small so I'm glad we had a reservation and I hope to go back again before our trip is over. Definitely the best food and service in Paris so far!
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
Enjoyable lunch at this quaint rest right by sacre coeur. Tried escargot, onion soup, beef Bourguignon, cassoulet and fromage along with creme caramel. All good. Busy little spot. Nice traditional French cuisine in the midst of the city.
google avatar

Shirley R.

Yelp
Came to Le Poulbot for lunch when I saw the sign on the street, had their set meal. I chose the onion soup as a starter. I was so pleasantly delighted! Inside the soup there was a perfectly toasted piece of bread with a generous amount of melted cheese on top. The toast still had a crunch and the cheese went very well with the onion. This plate won me over. Then I had the decadent lamb which was cooked very well. The blue broccoli made the plate look beautiful. I ate EVERYTHING, it was very good. Finally for dessert I had the ricotta, I'm not too much of a fan of ricotta but I enjoyed this dessert. The ambiance was really nice and calm, I especially enjoyed the blues music playing and the decor of the ceiling. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The chef was awesome and must have been doing some sort of magic in that tiny kitchen because I fell in love with this place.
google avatar

William L.

Yelp
A quaint little eatery tucked away in Montmartre with a beautiful facade. Very small with lots of character and a tiny little kitchen and bar. You can see the chef hard at work a few feet from your table. When we went, there was one chef and one server for dinner and they were able to handle everyone deftly. They put a handwritten chalkboard menu on our table for us to look over. The duck confit and slow roasted lamb were both great, as well as the french onion soup. I also enjoyed a Bourdeaux. It started snowing when we ate so the ambiance was perfect. Overall, an intimate spot with character in a city FULL of cafes. Loved it and worth stopping by if you are in the Montmartre area, perhaps before/after seeing Sacre Coeur.

Yelp
This is my third time to France and I have been to Michelin star restaurants so when I say they know how to make a sauce.. viola! The chef here is wonderful. The escargot poulbet was outstanding, the duck confit and ham on bone , wonderful! The dishes are simple and well executed.
google avatar

Duy N.

Yelp
The five stars for food and ambiance. Minus one for the staple in my salad. BUT it speaks volumes that it didn't stop me from eating everything else on my plate. The escargot is sauteed out of the shell and MAGICAL. The duck confit was good, but not as crispy as I would like it. Ended with a passion fruit Panna Cotta to die for. The place is super cute and intimate. Very small, so if you don't like proximity to other people, you may want to reconsider. the area is very ery busy and full of restaurants, but this one was a little gem (staple and all). Reservations recommended.
google avatar

Katrina L.

Yelp
Walk a little further away from the touristy square and you'll end up in this hidden gem in Montmartre. This was our first dinner in Paris and it did not disappoint. Our server was lovely despite us knowing little French. The food was delicious and we were in awe of the solo chef that was bringing all these dishes to life. My favorite dish was the panna cotta which just exploded in flavors once I bit into it. The place is small so reserve ahead if you're coming in peak times or with large groups. I can't wait to eat here again when I come back!

Yelp
My wife and I - along with our 11 month old baby - had an amazing experience at Le Poulbot. The atmosphere is cozy and fun, with tables right up against each other and one server (who we think may be the owner), and 2 chefs right there in open view. We were of course worried about how a baby might be received, but the guests and staff alike treated her as if she were just a tiny member of an extended family. But the best part of the restaurant was the food. My wife got the duck as part of the dinner special, including an arugula salad and a lavender creme brûlée - for an very reasonable 32 Euro. I started with an incredible French onion soup and had the steak special. Everything we tasted was fantastic, and the tempo of service was relaxed and informal -- we were never rushed, yet never ignored either. Dinner, along with 3 glasses of rose, totaled $84 euro-- well worth it!

Reinaldo A.

Yelp
Small and Cozy with the Best Food and Service in Montmartre, not a Tourist Trap Restaurant.
google avatar

Jenny D.

Yelp
Very cute and cozy place! Pretty authentic French restaurant. French onion soup - very flavorful and not overwhelmed with the cheese or bread Escargot - it's my first time eating this one so I don't trust my taste, but for my first time, it's very buttery, not smelly, and not chewy.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I only had 48 hours in Paris for our first time in Paris, so we wanted to make the most of our time. The staff at Le Poulbot was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They allowed us to have a table even though we showed up extremely early for our reservation and recommended a perfect wine to sip while we waited for the kitchen to open. We didn't wait long, and oh boy are we glad we chose this place because everything was DELICIOUS. We order the 35 euro three course fixed price menu and each course was more delightful than the last. For starters, my wife had the decadent and comforting French onion soup while I went with a soft yet hearty duck Rillete. We both went for the Duck Confit et Frites for our entrees and they were amazing. Crispy skin, flavorful meat, healthy portions, and falling off the bone. Equally delicious was the arugala salad that came with. The frites mastered the art of crispy exterior and fluffy interior. For desserts, my wife went with the creme brûlée while I had something (the name escapes me) that resembled a deconstructed key lime pie. The staff was attentive but not annoying, checking in with us to see that we were always happy. The street environment in Monmartre lends itself to a friendly camaraderie between patrons! We'll be back next time we're in Paris to try the rest of the menu! Best meal we ate in France!

Yelp
This restaurant is worth going out of your way. My partner and I shared escargot, foie gras, duck breast and swordfish. The foie gras was the best I had in Paris during my week there and is an absolute must if you visit here. In fact, this restaurant was my favorite of the 10 or so that I visited in Paris. I liked the escargot but it is very untraditional and you might want to skip it if you're looking for a more classic French meal. Unsure of what to order, the server recommended the swordfish and it was a very good choice by him. I paired my meal with two excellent glasses of Bordeaux. The menu is updated daily and presented on a chalkboard tablet that is placed on your table written in French on one side and English on the reverse. The servers are competent English speakers but this is mostly a French speaking establishment. The restaurant is very small (only about 20 seats), and I would recommend reservations. The ambiance is excellent for a date or for a small group. We did not have reservations and had to wait about 35 minutes to be seated. Fortunately, the surrounding area makes for an excellent walk. Most of the restaurants in this area of Montmartre appear to be tourist traps; this restaurant is anything but that. I could not recommend it more and look forward to visiting it again on my next trip to Paris.

Yelp
the best meal i had in paris! classic french dinner at a reasonable price in an unassuming restaurant. i will be coming back every time i'm there!

Yelp
Everything was delicious and the service was great. Awesome location in Montemarte near Place du Tertre. We ate at a few restaurants in this neighborhood and this one was the best. Make a reservation, it's a popular spot.

Yelp
Warning!!! There are many imposter restaurants that seem French for Americans, but they are not very good. This was a diamond in the rough. The food and the service are exceptional! The French fries are the best I've had on my trip between many restaurants in Belgium and France and the atmosphere screams authentic. Matthew is our server, ask for him!
