Le Pré Rainette (Sorrus, Hauts-de-France) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Minutes away from the seaside resort of Touquet-Paris-Plage, Le Pré Rainette looks like an old-fashioned country manor with a red-tiled roof and whitewashed walls. But the building is actually a new construction modeled after the region’s traditional farmhouses. The owners hunted for antique treasures to furnish the place accordingly: among their finds are big wooden tables, romantic old fireplaces, and vintage tiles. The main house has a few guest rooms, one featuring a freestanding tub with views of the surrounding forest, the other a two-room suite that’s perfect for families. A separate cottage offers a kitchen and a cozy living room. On the beautifully landscaped grounds that surround both houses, there’s a heated swimming pool, rose gardens, and a pond populated by frogs that inspired the hotel’s name. The owners lend bicycles for exploring nearby trails or pedaling to the coast." - Tablet Hotels

Great find via booking.com. We booked two rooms for two nights for our last two nights en route back from the Dordogne. Although very close to the motorway we did not hear it from our rooms. Less than an hour from Calais made it a really quick journey back to the port. The decor throughout the house and rooms was incredibly tasteful. We loved having a kettle in the room and access to fresh milk. Something we had not had on other French hotels. Breakfast was great and a lovely start to the day. The owners could not have been more delightful. We visited the beach hut they own in Le Touquet and made use if the kite on a very windy but stunning beach. My only criticism is that our rooms were not serviced during the day. I would have expected my bed to be made and bin emptied in similarly priced hotels. That said I would thoroughly recommend and would stay again.

We stayed with our 2 children in one of the adjoining rooms upstairs, which was perfect as there was a bathroom between us but we felt we had our own space. The view from the room was magical, the pool was lovely and the house itself was so tastefully decorated with a artful mix of French antiques, shabby chic furniture, smart furnishings and modern artwork that I couldn't stop looking at it all. Christophe was charming and helpful and served a lovely breakfast, recommending places to visit and even enlightening us on the French view of Brexit! Definitely recommended for a visit to explore the area or as a stop before Calais - we hope to be back!

We had s fantastic two night stay here. So much thought and work has gone in to making the stay extra special and luxurious by the generous hostes. The rooms have every detail necessary and the breakfast is superb. Everything was top quality. Christophe was particularly patient and helpful and had good humour as I enjoyed practising my French!

We stayed for 3 nights at Le Pre Rainette. It was perfect. Anne-Marie and Christophe were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We had the 3 rooms upstairs (myself, my husband and 2 adult sons). Beds very comfortable. Views from the rooms were beautiful. Breakfast delicious and lots of options. Lovely swimming pool. One day when we were out early for golf Christophe packed us a delicious breakfast take with us. Just can't wait to return. Thank you both for a perfect weekend.

We stayed here for two nights after we had been let down with another reservation. We booked a double suite which had a shared shower room & wc between the two double bedrooms. We enjoyed our sojourn; the beds were comfortable, the room had a great view and thought had been given to other necessities like tea & coffee-making facilities in our room. In the breakfast room there was a welcoming log fire which together with the homemade jams and the friendly and attentive service from Christophe, made breakfast-time relaxing & enjoyable.

We arrived for a celebration weekend with our daughter and were installed in a cosy set of rooms with an en-suite bathroom in between. Much thought has gone into making the stay a comfortable one - shampoo and shower gel provided in generous receptacles, coffee and tea-making facilities on hand. My personal favourite - a hairdryer - was already in the room. Breakfast was gorgeous - again, generously provided, lovely croissants and pains au chocolat, fresh bread and some of the most delicious jam I have tasted (and I make my own, so consider myself a bit of a guru). Blazing log fires complete the picture, and our host was kindness itself, even going to the trouble of making us a dinner reservation at a (superb) local auberge on our first night. If I have a tiny complaint it is only that I would have liked an extra pillow, but as I didn't get around to asking for it, it really cannot be laid at their door.

Amazing quaint and charming Chateu in rural France. The lady who runs it is so lovely and made us feel at home, ans made a great breakfast in the morning for my family. She doesn't speak any English but we managed to communicate quite well anyway. Would highly recommend for a night's stay.. there are two double bedrooms adjoined with a bathroom which suited me and my parents. And there is a separate double room also.

We stayed here for one night on our way home. What a beautiful place to stay. Agnes was so lovely and accommodating. Although we communicated through broken English and French she treated us all so kindly. The bedrooms were immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
