Le Quai

This seems to be the place to go when visiting Amiens. There are many resturants in this area but this one seems to have the best ratings overall. If you want to sit by the river you have to book beforehand. I had a nice table next to the entrance. Place got packed very fast right when it opened. Food was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive eventhough they had a lot to do. I can recommend the lam. 🦙

We came twice as the experience was great. Our waitress was super nice. Food was delicious. Speed of service was great. My only recommendation would be to extend the list of options included in the menu sets. It only had 3 dishes to choose from and we would have loved to be offered a bigger choice.

Lovely spot on the river. Great view, decent food, attentive staff — and the chef’s nervous breakdown thrown in for free. The screaming from the kitchen was so loud diners froze mid-bite, exchanging looks. You couldn’t help feeling a little guilty enjoying your wine while somewhere backstage, lives were unravelling. It was like stumbling into an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares — minus the bleep button.

Seat by the river. Excellent service. Menu of the area was very tasty, ficelle and the chicken in particular were fantastic.

Excellent food at a charming place next to the river. In the summer this whole area is busy with people out for dinner and drinks. Very nice atmosphere. Very fast and friendly service. The food and drinks were very tasty and well prepared. Better to reserve in advance.

Very good food and drink down by (on) the river. Traditional and local french dishes for all tastes and purses. Rapid, kind, attentive and smiling waiter. Fantastic atmosphere with views of St Leu and across the Somme river the Cathedral above. South facing terrace for when the Northern sun decides to shine. We went a year ago and it was good. A big effort has been made since and everything is even better. Will go back sooner this time ! A perfect meal.

The server did not first let us to be seated but allowed people who came later to be seated . We started moving out of the hotel understanding his intentions but later came to us and offered a place. His original argument was that the hotel will close in 1 hr and places will not empty soon . But I remember dining there for more than an hour. Bad hospitality ! The location & food was ok but not great as it was in Rouen or Bayeux .

This gorgeous restaurant has absolutely everything finesse. Between food, drinks and atmosphere, everything was simply beautiful and delicious. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. We had a seat right near the fire which just added to the views. Such a great experience , a definite must when in amiens 🙂

Run well with excellent food Beautiful location and top notch menu. No competition in Amiens In a town with few gourmet options, this restaurant tops the list with a sophisticated management able to smoothly run the most popular place in town. The second scoring place runs a poor second.

Le Quai was picture perfect. Sitting out in the front of the restaurant by the water on a spring day with a bottle of wine and having lunch here... is like heaven. Out in this short street Le Quai is the upscale restaurant of it's neighbors. Without being pretentious it just attacks the YUPPIES from the area. Lots of locals show up here daily for the awesome food. The menu is perfect... with a little something for everyone. We had fish, salads, fried calamari, pate and great bread. It was all perfect. Do try this restaurant if you have the chance. Service was friendly and attentive.

We enjoyed the restaurant so much, we visited it 3 times throughout our stay in Amiens. We loved almost everything we tried! They have some really delicious drinks. I recommend the grapefruit and passion fruit cocktails. The other favorites are the Original "potjevleesch"meat terrine, "ficelle picarde", meat tartar, the cod and the Special Quai Hamburger (homemade bun with delicious fresh meat! Yum!) I have never visited the same restaurant so many times in one vacation. It is a tasty exception! I wasn't as impressed with the duck appetizer, but I have a suspicion it has something to do with me not liking duck! Quick pleasant note, the restaurant has menus in English which is quite helpful!

This is a great place to hangout and eat. The service is fast and they have an english menu (tourist friendly) Try out their steaks and desserts...

Cute spot on the canal. The food was quite palatable but I have to say that the fucks that were given by the server were few and far between. (To be fair, it was a busy Thursday night in Amiens.) As my 3rd grade French teacher regularly wrote on my grammar homework - "Quel dommage." Meh.

Was in Amiens for one night as a stop between visiting Waterloo and Chartres. I happened upon this restaurant purely by chance. It is in an area where there are lots of restaurant with picturesque views of the cathedral on the other side of the river. This waterfront restaurant had a pretty purple neon sign that caught our attention. Our party of three ordered the mussels to share as an appetizer. I also ordered the sea bass as a main course. Both the mussels and the sea bass were excellent. Between the three of us there were ample mussels in the pot to share. It was probably after 10 pm on a Thursday evening and all of the restaurants in this area were busy. The food was good and the service was great. We did not leave until close to midnight. A great end to a wonderful day on vacation.

The location by the canal is ideal for summer evening conversations. The meal was delicious. Come by when mussels are in season.

Mediocre food and restaurant design. "Special" hamburger (a real mess of flavors) and sea bass (salty as to remind you of Icelandic salted cod) were both left unfinished. Oysters were fresh and good. Service was good and English accommodating. Take a chance on something else.
