Le Quai Bistrot Français offers a great overall dining experience. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is excellent—perfect for a relaxed, classy meal. However, the prices are quite high, and the portion sizes don’t always feel worth the cost. Still, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for quality French cuisine in a lovely setting.

Phenomenal place. Food was excellent, well flavored and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable except for one small issue. I couldn't eat all of the lamb shank. I was asked if I would like to bring the leftovers home, including the bone. I said yes to both, but the bone was missing.

Went with a group of friends and we did share plates. Solid appetizers and entrees all around. Escargot was new for me, but it was quite tasty. I loved the grilled squid over arugula salad; the dressing was so light and refreshing on the fresh arugula. Squid was cooked to perfection. My main entree was the braised lamb shank. This thing was huge and falling apart from the bone! Very tender, and reminded me of the beef stew I make. Perfect! Definitely meant to share. Halibut was great as well, though I'm a sucker for capers and the duck was delicious too, and of course the desserts were spot on. Highly recommended for a date night and special occasions. The staff were attentive and the owner even personally greeted us. I am a fan of the atmosphere and the service that they provided. Lovely night.

An absolutely wonderful meal there for our anniversary. I had the vichyssoise, which was stunningly good, and the roasted chicken. Wife did the escargot and scallops, which were generously portioned and perfectly cooked (browned, yet delicate). Highly highly recommend this place.

Our first visit to Le Quai was within weeks of opening. Absolutely fabulous. Hard to believe since then they've polished this gem so it shines even brighter. Example - an extensive and exceptional wine list. Since losing Provence, Chez Nous and other French restaurants this is the finest French prepared recipes we've had since Paris. I could go on and on but my recommendation is go, meet Robert and enjoy great atmosphere, conversation and of course a true French Bistro dining experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, start to finish. Great wine selection, savory appetizers, incredible main course, and dessert was delicious! We cannot wait to come back, what a great little gem in Waterford.

Wow, what a gem! Who would've thought that there is such fine French cuisine in Waterford. The lamb shank and beef bourguignon were cooked to perfection: falling off the bone levels of tenderness and perfect rendering of fats. The wine selection is also excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable about wine pairings. We loved our desserts as well, everything is made in-house with fine ingredients. I especially loved the homemade pistachio ice cream with Moroccan pistachios. Make a reservation! There are only 8 tables and they fill fast.

Excellent food. Appetizer: The Vischyssoise was delicious. Our main courses of halibut and chicken were amazing! The service fantastic. The owner recommended a wine which complimented our dishes perfectly. We went with the almond and pear torte for dessert. We will definitely be back. My husband can’t wait to try the lamb during our next visit!
