Paris Prioritized Accessibility Ahead of the Paralympics—but Has It Delivered?

"An inclusive restaurant where most staff members have Down syndrome, focusing on quality rather than charity. The restaurant challenges stereotypes and shifts the narrative around disability."

Loved the food, loved the vibe, love the idea. This place is full of love. The place made us having a conversation about kindness and equality, society with my husband. Had a great time. Highly recommended!

My wife and I visited Le Reflet on an overcast Tuesday during a day trip to Paris. We’re camping in Versailles and found it easy to hop on the RER C train into the city. After getting off at Notre-Dame, it was a lovely 15-minute walk through the charming and safe Le Marais district. We were warmly welcomed at Le Reflet, where I’d noted in our booking that my wife is expecting. The owner greeted us personally and helpfully let us know there was just one dish not suitable for her — a lovely and thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel looked after. It didn’t limit our choices at all, and the menu had plenty of appealing options. The team were all incredibly friendly and professional, with service that was efficient but never rushed. We really liked the unique ordering system — using a marker on a laminated menu card to select your dishes — simple, clear, and completely avoids confusion. The food was excellent. My wife had a perfectly cooked, line-caught fish from the cold waters of Brittany, which was delicate and fresh. For dessert, I had a chocolate mousse that was like eating flavoured air — unbelievably light and full of flavour. One of the best desserts I’ve ever had. We had three courses each, a bottle of house red, and soft drinks — all for around €100, which is incredible value for such quality in central Paris. In short, Le Reflet is a rare find: thoughtful service, brilliant food, and a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Ideal for couples, families, or groups. We truly hope to return in the future. Merci beaucoup to the whole team at Le Reflet!

I had one night in Paris for dinner with a dear friend… as I searched online for an option, le Reflet Paris found me! Absolutely LOVE the concept as a Mom of a young adult with Williams Syndrome who has championed gainful employment for people with intellectual and different abilities. Everything here is inclusive and done with care— the thoughtful accommodations for ordering, the simple menu of delicious food choices, and the delightful staff! Best spot in Paris! Bravo to the owners and staff.

We had an Amazing dinner the other night. My wife had the Mimosa egg appetizer followed by the poultry confit. I had the lamb meatballs followed by the Tagliatelle with asparagus cream sauce. Everything was so Delicious. They are an EcoTable restaurant, sourced local ingredients. After our dinner, we were served the most Tasty cup of coffee. The service was Fantastic. We Highly recommend this restaurant .

Found this little gem while walking around the streets. We were a party of 6, and they were able to seat us in a beautiful little sections. GLUTEN FREE: We were able to have 2/3 Appetizers, 1/3 Entrés, 1/3 Desserts. We were so pleased and excited. Staff was wonderful and checked in with the allergy concerns. Great wine section and soft drinks as well. WiFi: No
