Le Relais de Saint de Ser, a Design Boutique Hotel Rousset, France

"Le Relais de Saint de Ser is located in Rousset in a typical Provencal-style building. The hotel features an outdoor pool with a terrace and a restaurant. Guests have access to free WiFi throughout the property and an on-site parking space. All rooms are air-conditioned and include a flat-screen TV, a desk and a safety deposit box. The private bathrooms come with a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. A supermarket can be found just 2 km from the property. For guests who wish to visit the nearby cities, Aix-en-Provence is just a 30-minute drive away. Marseille Provence Airport is 50 km from the property and Aix-en-Provence Train Station is 38 km away." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Amazing place in a beautiful location. The team is really kind & welcoming and because you have 2 restaurants (a cocktail bar with sharing plates downstairs and a restaurant upstairs) you can also satisfy your tastebuds. During the day you can hit the pool or you can easily go hiking, visit vinyards or Aix-en-Provence. The rooms are small but decent. A gem on a remote location and would highly recommend staying at least 2 days!

Review of Réalis de Sainte Ser – Beautiful Setting, Disappointing Service||||We stayed one night at Réalis de Sainte Ser, drawn by its stunning location—and in that regard, it absolutely delivers. Nestled in a beautiful part of Provence, the setting is serene and picturesque, which does help justify the premium price point of over €200 per night.||||However, the hotel itself didn’t live up to expectations. The facilities are quite tired, and the rooms are no better than what you’d find at an Ibis—not what you'd expect from a boutique hotel. Certain parts of the property are noticeably scruffy, which detracts from the overall experience.||||Dinner was the highlight of our stay. The food was excellent—beautifully presented and clearly the work of a talented chef. Prices were higher than what we experienced in the Luberon, which was surprising, but the quality made it worthwhile.||||That said, the service left a lot to be desired. Staff can be abrupt, and the hotel seems to operate with a set of rigid rules that prioritize staff convenience over guest comfort. For example, the bar/chill-out area is a popular evening spot, attracting over 20 cars despite the hotel having only 8 rooms. Comfortable seating is reserved by these outside visitors, leaving paying guests without access—even just for a pre-dinner drink. We were firmly told where to sit by Laurent, who was particularly forceful, despite many of the preferred seats remaining empty long after we left.||||We raised our concerns with the receptionist upon departure, only to be confronted by Laurent in the car park in front of other staff. He was aggressive and dismissive, unwilling to accept any feedback. It was an uncomfortable and frankly unacceptable end to our stay, especially after spending over €400 on the room and dinner.||||In summary: come for the views and the food, but don’t expect boutique-level comfort or service. At this price point, the lack of hospitality and flexibility is hard to overlook.

A wonderful evening. As others have noted, this restaurant is in a beautiful location on the slopes of Montagne Sainte-Victoire. We were invited to have an aperitif on the veranda on which was a very friendly cat. The drinks were great and the setting idyllic. We were not offered olives or nuts with the cocktails - which would have been even nicer - or handed menus to read - but I’m sure if we had asked this would have been possible. The restaurant interior was very pleasant, our servers were friendly, attentive and helpful, and the food was excellent. The egg starter was especially good and the beef - from their own butchery - was superb and memorable. Some wines were dated wrongly on the menu but our server was quick to advise this and I’m sure the information will be updated. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.

Terrible portions, the “rapport prix qualité” is not correct. The prices do not reflect the amount of food. Scenic view with decent service but one rude waiter in particular. Overall not a positive experience and is a slight tourist trap. If you’re willing to pay a lot to eat then this is probably your cup of tea as the view is lovely but a shame for the actual experience.

Wow! These people have a passion for food. There is a Corsican influence in their menu which makes much of the delicious food original in both taste and presentation. Have their good value (€55 pp at time of writing) 5 course meal. It's a foodie adventure in delicious creamy-cheese mousses, devine tomatoes, fish you may have never had before - I had one called maigre which I couldn't find to translate on Google. It was the most beautifully-balanced fish, cooked to perfection. The dessert, the wine, the view... I could have been on Mount Olympus! Thank you Le Relais de Saint Ser for treating me so well for an afternoon.

Great restaurant: you come for the amazing views and you also get great food, very nice and affordable wine selection and outstanding service. The buvette is also great for a more casual experience. I will definitely come back!

We’ve lived in Aix for a year and not found that many restaurants that do really good quality of food, beautifully but simply presented, in superb surroundings that are not too formal. Very friendly & attentive service This absolutely hits the spot. Highly recommend. As we live nearby, we haven’t experienced the rooms, only the restaurant.

We enjoyed every minute at Le Relais. The service was excellent and our room was very comfortable. Swimming pool was very clean and relaxing. We had dinner at the Bar. The steak and focaccia were delicious!! Breakfast was good, lots of selections. We really liked croissants, smoked salmon, granola and I was very happy when I saw the Conviette! All the staff were very helpful, especially Sabastian. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much!!!
