Le Relais du Moulin

Generally, it is a good place to stay, the stuff is friendly, any issues are resolving fast, the room was nice and clean.There are a lot of beautiful trees on the territory, the pull is good. At least in the end of June, the place is very calm. ||But you need a car if you want to visit any places: the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, far away from anything. ||The restaurant is good but overpriced, and nothing else is around. ||One more thing, the air conditioner location could be better, we did not like it almost over head side of the bed and just turn it off at night.||

We had a great time at Relais du moulin! The place is a gem, with a nice and peaceful garden. Bungalows are quite spacious. I must say that we were very surprised by the professionally of staff, this hotel was top level. The restaurant if one of the best on the island, so better to make reservations in advance since externals can also reserve and come (food was sublime). The pool bar is also very cool for a drink after dinner (also here better to reserve). My only small suggestion would be to adjust the shower of the bathroom - since it’s an open shower without door the water can sometimes expand - and do something for mosquitos. Lovely well equipped hotel with an appealing patio and swimming pool area, excellent fancy restaurant for dinner, and friendly bar with inventive drinks and good bar snacks. Walking distance to several nice beaches and a great pizza restaurant. Driving distance to two towns with good restaurant, bar and ice cream options, Saint Anne and Saint Francois. Our room was half of a small bungalow, very clean, spacious, well equipped, modern bathroom with walk-in shower, daily room servicing, except there needs to be a soap holder installed in the shower area. Also, the mini fridge seemed barely cold. Friendly and experienced professional staff. Limited options on bar menu, for example, if you’d like to have a salad or something light. Most items were fried or charcuterie. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning next year.

An amazing hotel with absolutely fantastic staff. We felt totally relaxed and thoroughly spoilt. Food and drinks were to an excellent standard. The whole hotel was kept immaculate. But what will always stand out for us is the staff.

5 stars for the waitresses and the female barkeepers, they were such kind to me and so beautiful women. They are the reason, that this hotel is still working with fantastic reputations, the management has to pay them much more money. The "alcohol free detox drink" from one of the female barkeepers is the best one I ever had. The reception and the management were arrogant and they appeared in front of the other staff, if they were something better. I had big problems with one barkeeper who seems jealous and was angry every time to me. For example he didn't let me sit on a special place, because he told it would be raining. But at sky weren't any dark clouds it was a star clear night. On another day he was aggressive, because he wanted to forbid me to drink something, because he had some problems with my self-confident character. That will have consequences for your hotel and makes my stay all at all very uncomfortable.

I had an amazing stay at Le Relais. It was about a 40 min drive from the airport tucked away on a quiet road. I booked a basic room and it was super clean and cute. The grounds were so beautiful. The level of service and communication were outstanding. They have a restaurant on site which was one of the best I've ever eaten in. The also have casual dining at the pool. The location was in walking distance (20 min) to a surfing beach but you can hike another 20 min so a gorgeous stretch of beach. I was traveling solo and felt extremely safe. I rented a car and would venture out on day trips and come back here for my dinner. Breakfast was a great assortment of Fruit, Breads, pancakes, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and meet board, juices, etc

My partner and I spent a romantic weekend at Le Relais du Moulin and were overall very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and well-maintained and the pool and spa area added a touch of luxury to our visit. We particularly enjoyed the view from the charming little windmill and thought that the decor inside was thoughtfully done. However, two points made us subtract 1 star from our review: First, we did notice the surprising lack of local staff working at the hotel. While the service was professional and welcoming, this left us with mixed feelings. Second, at breakfast, the only meat option available was pork. We would expect a wider variety of choices from a four-star hotel. Moreover, the only fish option was placed between the pork dishes with no separate utensil for serving, which could be unappetising to some guests. When we pointed this detail out at checkout, we were met with indifference at best.

We had a really enjoyable stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The facilities are good and clean, what you would expect from a standard 4-star hotel. The complex is charming and pleasant. Location is really good, there's plenty of nice small restaurants around and you are 15min drive away from the nicest beaches. The only downside is that the sound-proofing quality of the room is not enough to block out all the noise from the frogs and rains, but that's part of being on an island. Highly recommend.
