"It takes a lot to stand out from the crowd of old-world luxury hotels on the shores of Lake Geneva. Following a complete renovation, Le Richemond has got the goods, with its superb location, beautifully decorated rooms, excellent spa, and terrific Italian restaurant. What really makes this handsome 1875 hotel so appealing, however, is that designers Olga Polizzi and John Stefanidis have given the old gal a new visual identity without compromising her inherently genteel nineteenth-century personality, like a Park Avenue granny discovering the fun of a little flash: gold mosaic tiles in the elevators, and in the guest rooms, crystal sconces, chrome floor lamps, and curvy fifties-style chairs mixed with more traditional furnishings. Bathrooms are bliss, with oversized showerheads as well as piles of thick towels. Italian linen sheets and classy mixes of prints and patterns make all 109 rooms here a treat to nest in, too. Though some details rankle—$36 is steep for Internet access, and the service still needs some polishing—Le Richemond not only spins circles around other recent local renovations but gives the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues a run for its money."

Simple, no frills Hôtel. Great value. Service was great, Bal-Yaba was extremely welcoming and helpful. It’s in a very convenient location for the metro.

Beautiful hotel with old style. The hotel's breakfast is very attractive. Rooms are relatively larger than other hotels in Europe. The hotel is located near the lake, which makes it even more attractive. The hotel restaurant serves a variety of dishes. In general, it is recommended

The location is excellent. It is right in front of the lake and walking distance from the train station. The service is excellent; very attentive, helpful, and available when needed. The room was fairly spacious with great blinds and quiet, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. However, the room and bathroom felt a bit dated. The only complaint i can think of is the price, but for the location it is somewhat justified.

Excellent place to be, as well nice restaurant with high quality food ambiance and service. Best place to be in Geneva especially at summer time in the beautiful outside garden. Never the less before or after lunch you can enjoy a seance in the spa center. Nice warm welcoming. Tourist or local high recommended place to be in. SB Group of companies

First time there, in the lake view suite which was really nice but also quite small for thar price range. Windows are dated, we could hear noise from the street and cold air coming from one of them (though we weren't cold as aircon worked perfectly) Bathroom was impressive, one of the best I've seen on hotels. View is nice but nothing special as the hotel is not facing the lake. There were fireworks but we just had a small glimpse. There's no terrace. Nice welcoming messages and chocolates but everything was ruined by having to pay a 5mn local phone call 27.- That's some huge lack of style. Staff on the other hand was super nice and friendly. All in all, quite disappointed it's way too expensive for what you get.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice enough, had a comfortable bed and great bathroom however we had a view of a huge amount of industrial piping as the view over the lake was on the other side of the hotel. The food and drink was nice but expensive.

Beautiful property in a convenient location, easy to access all business and tourist sites. Hotel service is top notch. Luxurious hotel room with spacious and well-appointed bathrooms. Love the showers built for 2 in the junior suite. Definitely worth booking a room with a balcony view of Lac Leman (Lake Geneva).

Very lovely place for cocktails at the bar, we had pizza which was amazing, I felt like I was in Italy. Would like to eat next time in there restaurant, because we like the drinks and the food. Thank you for your super service. Would recommend

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel near the lake with views of the water. Great location. Also a bit formal considering my very casual attire, but no one seemed to mind in common areas. Definitely underdressed for the restaurant in the evening. If you travel with evening wear enjoy cocktails or champagne before a 5 star dinner right where you are staying so don't even have to go out! Of course a walk after dinner along the water is a perfect ending. Not far from the rear of the hotel I snuck in a falafal late one afternoon from a street vendor...hot and fresh and delicious! Believe they have a car for hire and I think it was a Bently...nice. Nothing like a ride to the airport in a Bently! The Swiss really know how to live!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful hotel. Perfect location overlooking Lake Geneva and the fountain. About a 7 minute walk to the train station. Service was wonderful and so helpful. Hotel is very old but very well maintained and decorated. We were upgraded to a suite and it was wonderful. Only negative was that the free wifi was a little bit slow but you can upgrade for 18 francs. We checked in pretty early and our room wasn't ready so we had to wait for a hour or so but they provided drinks in the lobby which was nice of them. Would absolutely stay here again when visiting Geneva.

Yelp
My first impression of Le Richemond was very good, but after staying in there for a couple of nights I could perceive the hotel has some small detail issues (little things such as the way housekeeping is or isn't done, for example) that made me reconsider it. It is still a great, glamourous hotel, of course. I felt the staff was a bit dissatisfied with their jobs, though, which caused them to be excessively polite in a fake way. I also think it's ridiculous to have the doormen wear hats and heavy coats in the summer, that makes no sense and it looks theatrical in a childish cheesy way. Let's not forget the hotel belongs to the Dorchester collection, which in turn belongs to the Sultan of Brunei, a very obscure figure that issued anti-gay laws in his country that allow authorities to kill gay people in public with rocks just for being gay. That alone is reason enough to choose any other hotel in the world BUT any Dorchester destination. Sorry! :-( If you have any doubts about this, check it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-2640473/Anna-Wintour-boycott-Le-Meurice-Dorchester-Collection-hotel-Sultan-Bruneis-anti-gay-laws.html
