We came here for lunch with a group of three adults and five kids, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. Our server, Julie, was exceptionally friendly, kind, and attentive—she took great care to make sure all our needs were met and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent—we ate very, very well. The fondue was especially delicious, and the kids were thrilled with their meals, having everything they wanted. It’s rare to find a place that caters so well to both adults and children, but this restaurant really delivered. We left completely satisfied and genuinely happy that we chose to eat here. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Stay in the Heart of Gruyères We stayed at Le Saint Georges with friends, booking three rooms and also enjoying their restaurant, and everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is perfectly located right in the charming medieval village of Gruyères, with stunning views and a warm, authentic atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and full of character, making our stay both relaxing and memorable. The staff were exceptional — friendly, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, which made us feel truly valued as guests. Our dinner at the restaurant was another highlight: delicious Swiss specialties prepared with care, excellent wine selection, and a cozy ambiance that made the evening perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Le Saint Georges to anyone visiting Gruyères, whether for a romantic escape, a trip with friends, or simply to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of this incredible region. We will definitely be back!

Our recent dinner at Le Saint George was fantastic from start to finish. We had our table at Veranda Panoramique - and we really enjoyed The food was incredible—Fondue was a standout! What really impressed us, however, was the fantastic service. Alex was a true professional. He provided excellent recommendations, from every dish and to wine to go with it. Even I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for amazing food and service.

This has been my favorite hotel in Switzerland. It is in a historic building and our room had a picturesque view of the Gruyère castle and the rolling landscape. You access it via a spiral staircase, which the hospitable staff helped us with when it was time to bring up our bags. There’s a lovely window which opens out for a fresh breeze. It feels like being in a little castle. There is espresso and tea in the room, a refrigerator (for all the cheese and creme you’ll want), and lovely smelling bath products. There’s also a hairdryer with attachment. ||The front of the hotel faces the main Rue with little shops and restaurants. I recommend the hotel dinner on the patio, with refreshing air and a view of the small town. Their fondue is prize winning and the place to try it. It’s a mix of Gruyère and Alpine cheese. ||The waiter was friendly and made helpful recommendations about wine pairings and dessert, including merengue based ice cream. I also recommend the hotel breakfast from the restaurant, where you can take in the morning with views of the castle and an espresso, local cheese, pastries, cured meats, and delicious creamy milk. If you’re up before breakfast, do take a walk in town. It’s quiet and you’ll largely have the streets to yourself. It’s the perfect time to enjoy a leisurely stroll or take photos. ||If you take public transit, the Main Street is open during set times, so you may need to take a short walk with your bags 5 minutes to the parking lot/bus stop. The train station is at the bottom of a hill, about 15 minutes. It’s a bit steep and would be difficult with a bag. But makes for a lovely walk. At the bottom is both the station and Maison du Gruyère. They open at 7:30 AM, whereas the rest of the main tourist area is open from around 9 am to 6 pm. ||I would definitely recommend staying here.

I had a fantastic lunch at this cozy restaurant in Gruyères. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented — but what really made the day special was the service. Isaac, our server, was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and always had a warm smile on his face. He made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and professional at the same time. Thank you, Isaac, for making our evening so memorable! I’ll definitely be coming back.

We stayed at LSG for a week and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is situated at the top of a hillside in a little medieval village and is just picturesque. All around is serenity and nature and perfect. |The hotel is a lovely place, rooms are a very good size and comfortable. The best part is waking up and looking straight out onto the mountains and hearing the sounds of nature - you couldn’t ask for more! |Food at the hotel is delicious and off course you not only enjoy a great meal but the setting of nature surrounds you while you dip into your luxurious fondue or creamy ice cream !! |Staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and friendly and make your experience even more special and enjoyable. Hichem, |Muhammed and Alex were always a delight to see and they took care of us and ensured we had everything during our stay. |My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer !! |We will definitely be coming back to the hotel again when next in Switzerland!!

We stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms with family on a 10 day visit to Switzerland. This hotel was amazing! Beds were comfortable, rooms clean, and there was tea and coffee in the rooms. ||The restaurant was wonderful! We ate breakfast and dinner there both days and everything they served was delicious! The breakfast buffet was a large variety and plenty. The view from the dining area overlooks the mountains! |The staff of the hotel was helpful and accommodating. I’d go back in a heartbeat

Yelp
This hotel is a gem! There are some pros and cons to it but honestly I would highly recommend it to everyone! Parking: Now the main entrance to this hotel is located inside a pedestrian only street within the medieval village. It's a beautiful location! Now because it's location parking can be fun. They have 3 lots you can choose from. P1 is the closest and about a 5 minute walk up a small hill. P2 is the next closest where you will have about 100 stairs and a small hill. P3 is located the furthest and will be a hike from the bottom of the hill for about a 7-10 minute walk. No matter where you park there will be a hill and you will need to carry you luggage up it. Now with that being said, it's not a hard hike up those hills and they have benches to relax on. The views are unreal here so if you need a break, just pause and enjoy the views. Parking is $10 and the hotel front desk will provide you a parking pass for your car. Checking in: The front desk for this hotel is tucked away in a corner and it's wonderful! I seriously loved how after we checked in the gentleman walked us to our room and gave us a tour of the hotel. In all the hotels I've stayed at in the world, I've never had that and it was seriously a nice touch! Views: With this hotel you get two views. The first is one overlooking the town center and the second is looking at the beautiful mountains. Honestly both views are unbelievable! What's unique about staying in the medieval village of Gruyères is that during the day it will be packed with tourists. Parking will be difficult during this time. However once it hits like 6pm all the tourists leave and it because very quiet and peaceful. It's very relaxing! Overall phenomenal hotel and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Yelp
I was told to come for the dessert, but chose to take in the whole experience. As far as views go, this is one of the best views from a restaurant that I have seen. It puts on display all the glories of the hills of Switzerland. I ordered their "signature dish" which is essentially a Gruyère based Mac and cheese with black pepper and local ham. This was ok. Nothing special, and would have earned them a 3 star rating on its own. Luckily I also ordered the meringue au double crème which was spectacular. Add the dessert to the amazing view, and 4 starts all around
