Highly recommend you make reservations requesting the balcony, as there are only 5-6 tables on it. Even if you are not able to sit on the balcony, the restaurant opens its large doors and it’s landscaped view can be enjoyed by all from within the restaurant.
Making a general comment, everything is local and fresh here. My wife and I enjoy gin and we started our meal with gin cocktails. The gin cocktails were crisp and flavorful and balanced. For a starter, my wife had the Beetroot Gazpacho with Feta and I had the Beef Tartare with Radishes. I love beets and the gazpacho was perfect for a warm evening. The beef tartare was the best I’ve had, though for reference, I’ve only had it in the United States. Nice consistency and flavorful throughout. My wife ordered Veal and Polenta. I had a taste of her meal and it was delicious. Light, but flavorful gravy on top of the veal. Polenta was done perfectly. I had a piece of Trout with pickled cucumbers and seasoned rice. My trout was cooked perfectly and was quite fresh. I’m also a fan of pickled vegetables. A good portion as well. My dessert was an Apricot Parfait and my wife, a Peach Tart with Crème. Pricing was quite nice for the quantity and, more importantly, the quality of the food served.
Service was excellent. They were attentive from beginning to end. We weren’t looked down upon for not speaking French, though we did try our best.
Pro Tip: you may want to bring mosquito repellant, if you are on the balcony. (thankfully, the waiter offered me some, so I could enjoy my meal in peace).
