Le Saint-Paul (Saint Paul de Vence, French Riviera / Provence) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There's more to the Côte D'Azur than the opulent casino hotels of Monte Carlo and the grand palaces of Cannes — and Le Saint-Paul is a perfect example of the alternative. The walled town of Saint Paul de Vence is just 15 kilometers from Nice airport, midway between Cannes and Monaco, but seems to belong to a different world, with its narrow streets, centuries-old fortifications, and its spectacular vistas over the valley and the Mediterranean beyond." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed here for several nights and had a mixed experience. I really liked the location of the hotel - a bit away from the busy parts of Old Town but a beautiful walk along the water to get there. I enjoy walking so enjoyed this. I believe this is also a bus you can g take into town. There is a beautiful beach right across from the property. The beds are also very comfortable. Unfortunately this hotel has horrible installation between the rooms and windows to the outside and you hear everything from moving furniture, slamming doors (all through the night that shake the room), conversations from the neighboring rooms. It was not a relaxing or peaceful sleep being continually woken up. Also, after my room was cleaned there were always black hairs on the bedding. It was very gross and happened everytime after it was ‘cleaned’. Overall this stay fell well below expectations.

Google
beautiful hotel really friendly staff would highly recommend for that but you definitely need to be prepared to walk. there are buses and you can always get a taxi but it's a 2km walk to the city. if you get over that you basically walk out of the hotel and there is a lovely spot for a swim and it's away from the loud centre and has stunning views of Nice

This hotel is fantastic, a great location just across the street from a small beach, the sea views from our room were stunning and similarly on the breakfast terrace. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Great parking area if you have a car, easily walkable to Port Lympia or there’s Lime electric bikes to rent scattered all around Nice. We would happily stay here again.

If you plan on staying here make sure the hotel is not booked for a large group or conference. Facilities will be closed to regular guests like restaurant, patio and bar area. 🤬||Don’t be late for breakfast….10:01 everything is cleared. Since there is nothing around in the area, this place is your only real option for breakfast. ||Hotel not really convenient to the city of Nice. ||Staff is almost friendly.||Rooms are nice, clean and modern. The views are amazing and free parking is s huge plus. ||Very disappointed about the multiple restaurant and patio closures during our stay due to the large group/conference happening at the hotel. Other dinner options were the two overpriced restaurants on the other side of the street. ||I would not recommend this hotel due to the location and the lack of care for the individual travels that booked this $$$ hotel.

Love this hotel and the fact that it is predominantly French people who stay here so it feels very authentic. Staff are friendly, the room is comfortable and the food excellent and good value for money. It's a bit out of the way so it is very quiet. You need to be prepared to walk as it is a good 25-30 minutes from the tourist area. Nice Riquier is the closest station and the tram stop is Port Lympia.

Location of property is perfect, in the calm part of the city, close to the Port and direct tram to the airport. Sea view from the room and restaurant is just breathtaking, you can’t get enough of it. They have elevator right from the ground floor so you don’t have to climb the stairs. Dispensers with free water are available on each floor. Room is quite compact but you have everything you need and you can even see the sea from the shower. Breakfast was quite ok even though the same every day. The only thing was that eggs were always cold as they were kept just on regular plate in buffet. Hotel has good restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner. It’s better to reserve it in advance especially in high season. Staff in the restaurant was very professional and attentive, food was very good too. Generally speaking, very much satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay in this hotel again.

I stayed here 3 nights and it was great unfortunately it was during World Ocean week and most of every restaurant was booked and Uber’s and Taxis were impossible, the restaurant is delicious and accommodated me one night. One of the nights was arrived very late from a tour and we had been stuck in traffic , I asked a young lady at the front if she could find out about me having dinner at the restaurant. She was very rude and said that it was completely booked, my room was above the restaurant and I saw 2 empty small tables, I continued to call her and asked her if I could speak to the restaurant. And very rudely she once again said she books the tables and she had already told me no. I was watching the empty tables all night until closing. I mentioned I hadn’t really had a change to eat anything due to our bus being stuck in traffic. Once again. She said no madam. Very annoyed at me. No attempt to contact the restaurant. , mind you this is a guest staying in the hotel.you could at least ask the restaurant . So I checked out the next day. Wanting to ask for a manager. And explained what happened so it doesn’t happen to another customer. But I figured I would just write a review she was a blonde lady with glasses. Everyone else was very professional during my stay.

We didn’t stay, so I can’t rate room but coming here for dinner was one of the best experiences of our trip to Nice. Amazing view, delicious clean fresh food and ordering the 31E 3 course meal special was unbelievable value. We booking via email in advance.
