Google
We actually found this with ChatGPT. We asked for something authentic, friendly to child’s and tourists, and not just another tourist trap, and we were recommended this, and we didn’t regret. The food was good, it’s such a cozy place, and our waiter Lancelot was just great. He got us to feel special despite we’re just some danish tourist among thousands of others. Thanks for that. We went two times, the last visit was our kids choice, they just loved the Salmon. Do we recommend it, YES!

Google
Great, authentic, close to Notre Dame but not silly busy! You can’t book but plenty of tables that turn around quickly for a relatively small place! Snails are excellent too!!!

Google
Decent Atmosphere, Mixed Experience Stopped by Le Saint-Regis for lunch and were immediately charmed by the lovely ambiance and stylish interior. There was a short wait, but we were quickly seated and ready to enjoy our meal. We ordered a café crème, café allongé, burrata beetroot salad, and Croque Monsieur with frites. The coffees were excellent, and the salad was a refreshing and well-balanced dish. However, the Croque Monsieur was disappointing—lukewarm with unmelted cheese inside, top was overly salty, and the bread seemed dry, possibly even stale. The frites were tasty until we discovered a hair in them, which unfortunately dampened our enthusiasm. Our waiter promptly replaced them, but it was hard to shake off the experience. While the service was friendly, the food quality felt inconsistent. Perhaps we ordered in haste, but after seeing so many glowing reviews online, we expected better. A charming spot, but we’d be more selective with our choices next time.

Google
Great good, friendly staff, beautiful decor. The Saint-Regis serves great food and tasty cocktails in a very cozy environment. I enjoyed the restaurant so much that I went here three times in 8 days! The waitstaff is kind and attentive. I can’t wait to return on my next trip to Paris.

Google
Everything here was amazing. Every cheese on the cheese board was great. The duck confit was perfect. Crispy outside: falling off the bone tender. And our waiter was excellent. Great suggestions and service. (Let's go!)

Google
We had an amazing meal at The Saint Regis. The French onion soup was soooo nice, and I really cannot stress this, it was absolutely the best soup I've ever had. I would go back to Paris just to eat at this restaurant! Staff were lovely and friendly (spoke English, though we do try to speak French). Prices were not bad either. Lovely setting. Couldn't have asked for more on a hot summers evening.

Google
Yep, it was a lovely place to stop and get lunch with a friend. No complaints about the food. The restaurant wasn't too noisy to have a chat. The waiters were attentive, professional, and polite. Win, win, win for me.

Google
Amazing place to eat near Notre Dame Cathedral if you want to try amazing local French cuisine. The staff was really friendly and took us in prior to the kitchen opening, and were really friendly. We started with espressos, water, orange juice, and beer prior to us eating. Orange juice was fresh squeezed and espressos well as expected amazing. Had a local French beer, and it was delightful. For food, I ordered the giant snails, French onion soup, and an amazing omelet and was not disappointed. Amazing cozy place, and I felt very at home with locals.

Yelp
This classic Parisian Cafe' delivers reliable classics prepared with finesse and great ingredients. Overall, you cannot miss by dining here for a leisurely lunch or dinner. The walk across the Seine makes the whole thing a great time.

Yelp
Service was ok, sometimes we were kind of left in the dark with a bit with our server in the beginning but he brought us additional bread and water when needed. English friendly, food is great and memorable. Although pricey, I think the quality of the food reflects that.

Yelp
I had read that Café St Régis was one of the best breakfast spots in Paris and luckily it was nearby my AirBnB and Notre Dame. It's the traditional corner cafe that you see in movies set in Paris with a small tight space and some outdoor seating. We were seated immediately, even though the place was packed. We arrived just at the end of breakfast and beginning of lunch, which worked out perfectly. We ordered some soft boiled eggs, croissant, hot chocolate and vin Chaud for breakfast. The eggs were perfect. Hot chocolate better than Angelina's. Croque Madame is served for lunch only so I was lucky to be there to order both breakfast and lunch and get the croque madame that I had been craving. It was delicious and much better than I expected. Another restaurant on top of my Paris list.

Yelp
We were seated immediately and the service was pretty speedy. The table was hardly big enough for our breakfast plates and coffee, so we were a little cramped. The quality of the food was good and we enjoyed the view from the window. Great spot if you're looking for a quick bite or just to sit for some coffee, but I wouldn't recommend for anyone wanting a place to rest for too long.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner and we're pleasantly surprised. The service was a little dry, but as time went by she warmed up. All of our entrees were delicious and good portions. The best part was the danish. It was hazelnut filled and it was to die for. Oh so good. Highly recommend

Yelp
Close to Notre Dame. This has my favorite Croque Madame in Paris. French onion soup is pretty good too. My main was the duck breast, which was also very good.

Yelp
Favorite breakfast of the trip. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, I wanted to stay a while and just relax. They had a wall of newspapers to read, which was much appreciated. Service was excellent, my waiter was on top of everything and funny. I had the fancier of the 2 set breakfasts and it came with a "chopped off hat" egg and toast sticks for dipping much to my delight, bread and the best jam I've ever had, and a bread of my choice, along with coffee and orange juice of course. It was all delicious, very bread heavy but that's expected! Wanted to stop by a second time on my trip but unfortunately don't think I'll make it to.

Yelp
Great cafe' near Notre Dame Cathedral. Went here for breakfast and had a delicious omelette, croissant, and latte. Truly an experience of a quaint French Cafe. The only thing is that the manager seemed a little bothered that we arrived at 7:45 am. Online states it opens at 7 but owner states opens at 8 and no chef till 830. Other than that and the fact that she was clearly annoyed, everything else was great.

Kelly P.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch and people-watching. Had the asparagus with a poached egg which was simple and perfect. Husband had an omelette which he liked. Service was great.

Mary G.

Yelp
We had breakfast here 3 days in a row. The standard French breakfast was very good. We also got the omelettes - they are big! What stood out was the particularly friendly service. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Lovely food, friendly staff. You almost feel like you're in a movie, the restaurant is beautiful and on a lovely quite location!

Yelp
Breakfast there this morning... Nice environment. Quite busy as usual, even in this, an off season, mid November.

Yelp
I love the Café Saint Régis! The food, ambiance and staff are all excellent, really very good on all counts. It's a great place to get a delicious meal, get your drink on, or people watch while sipping an expresso. The staff all seems to speak English, at least enough to take your order, which I find quite helpful. They have tables and a bar inside, and more tables outside on the sidewalk. It is a very open space, with several doors opening on to Rue Jean du Bellay and Rue Saint-Louis en L'ile. It is located on Île Saint-Louis, right next to the Pont Saint-Louis, the bridge that leads to the Île de la Cité, home of the famous Notre-Dame de Paris. There are often musicians performing on the bridge. Though they open at 7:00 AM (and are open until 2:00 AM), they do not take orders or serve until 7:30 AM. And until 8:00 AM, when the kitchen opens and the full menu becomes available, they serve only croissants, pastries, fresh-pressed juices and coffee/expresso drinks. Really, it is just a wonderful establishment. I come here once or twice a day every day that I spend in Paris.

Yelp
Best cafe I have had in Paris fluffy buttery and savory everything had such good balance. Employees are very kind and plz get they'd thick and warm hot chocolate!
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
Great ambience and very friendly staff that hummed tunes while working. Had one of the daily specials with toasted bread, jam, yogurt, a soft boiled egg in shell, and hot chocolate. Everything was tasty and the hot chocolate was rich and thick. It was like drinking a cup of ganache! Left off one star due to a pretty limited breakfast menu but overall I enjoyed it.

Yelp
On my month stay here in Paris, my flat is just around the corner of cafe saint Regis -- on Ile Saint-Louis. There was a bit of a queue when I arrived out front but it moved fast and I was greeted by a gentlemen who happily spoke English with me and sat me down promptly. Service was fantastic and so was the food! I had skipped dinner the night before and quite the appetite. I ordered the Norwegian Benedict and fresh squeezed orange juice. It was lovely and delicious. I intend to come back!

Amy W.

Yelp
Lucked upon the Cafe St Regis while wandering Paris. Had the best mushroom risotto there. Wish I knew the recipe. Staff was pleasant and it was busy at lunchtime.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly staff and great food. Fun ambience w views of the bridge towards Ile de la Cité. Don't miss the 23E cheese board! It was beautiful and so delicious!

Yelp
This place is lovely. The food is good, service (thank you, Gary) is great and ambiance is very French. There is no judging if you don't speak French- just please try. Merci Burgers look to be the best. Croques were more like grilled cheese in US.

Yelp
Went with my husband and adult daughter for dinner. Sat us in a both witch wasn't ideal as they had several window seats empty and those were for four people so we sat at basically half a both with a chair on the end which faced the bathroom. Waiter was spotty on service. Slow to take our order even though they weren't crowded. My husband has a bacon burger which was rare but tasty. The bacon was actually almost crispy which is rare in Paris. Usually limp and under cooked. My daughter had the truffle ravioli which was very tasty. I had the duck breast in a pepper sauce witch came with a side of green beans which were nicely cooked and quite good. The duck however was nearly inedible. It was very fatty and tough. I'm not even sure if it was a duck breast. Never had one look or taste so bad. Barely gagged down half of it. The ambiance is nice. Old French bistro with a lot of wood and mirrors. Prices were reasonable.

Yelp
Our first meal on this trip to Paris. What a welcome! Our waiter, Nissan, was so gracious. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were great. This became our "GO TO" place for our five day stay on Isle St Louis. Diane Nielsen.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Café Saint-Regis. Gary was THE best. He advised us on our meal choices. Answered all of our questions and was just overall friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our meal but especially our time with Gary. At the end of our meal he whipped out his cell phone and showed us how we could save money traveling to Disneyland Paris via the Metro as opposed to the more expensive taxi/Uber.

Yelp
Followed Rick Steve's guide to tour île saint Louis and found this restaurant. Ordered their French onion soup. It's a little on the salty side and wasn't impressed. If I come here again, I won't order this again. The service was very good though.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing spot near where we stayed. Everything here was incredible. They make the omelets with a special technique and they're amazing. The croissants are also very good. Beautiful location right on the corner. You can't go wrong here!
google avatar

Joey M.

Yelp
This is our neighborhood essential place for dinner and drinks. The food is excellent and the waiters remember us everytime we revisit. The best martini americaine in the whole of Paris - thank you, to our bartender who was eager to learn it. We will always be back. Thank you!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint. Delicious food. Perfect for the picky eater or someone who is not as adventurous. They still have a French twist to their meals which makes it so much better. Definitely would return here again.

Yelp
Love this beautiful cafe in the 4th arrondissement & a short walk from the must see places in Paris. Of course we ordered croissants, espresso, the best French styled eggs you'll ever taste, and freshly squeezed orange juice. The cafe is the perfect place for morning conversation and laughs with friends.

Yelp
I know this is a tourist place - confirmed by the location and all these reviews. However that did not negatively impact my experience here. We stopped in wanting a meal and a rest from a day of walking under a hot sun. The place was perfectly charming. They serve up the great French bistro/cafe sort of vibe with their dark stain wood interior, subway tile walls, and exterior windows that open out making it the perfect people watching spot during your stay. Besides the great atmosphere, the food was decent as well. We had the steak tartare, taramasalata and the charcuterie plate. It was a lot of food and we could have done without one of these. The tartare could have had more flavor, but the charcuterie plate was a great assortment. We also ordered a carafe of rosé, which could have been served colder. And also an Aperol spritz which was just perfect for the weather. Next time I'll definitely make sure to stop by here on a nice day and watch people walk but as I enjoy a refreshing Aperol spritz.

Yelp
A perfect Parisian meal with great ambiance and service. Neat location and the crème brûlée was delish

Anne U.

Yelp
So far this has been our favorite dinner spot. The ambience is great, the service outstanding, and they had actual vegetarian options. (I don't know why every chef in Paris has decided that vegetarians want to exist on a diet made entirely of ravioli.) Fiancé really loved his entrecôte as well.

Yelp
Omelette, croissant and coffee by the river. Excellent. Strong recommend. Very happy.

Yelp
My husband and I had a delightful, easy lunch at Le Saint Régis during our first full day in Paris a few weeks ago. An easy walk from Notre Dame and the beautiful Square René-Viviani, we grabbed a seat inside and had a great lunch. I started with French Onion Soup, which was hearty and incredibly rich in flavor. For my main entree, I chose the Croque Monsieur, which was cheesy and warm and everything I wanted it to be. My husband ordered a burger, which I snuck a bite of, and was great as well. Friendly service, great location, and beautiful views along the windows!
google avatar

Micah F.

Yelp
We stopped in to the Saint Régis after visiting Notre Dame. Highly recommend eating here. The food and service were exceptional. We ordered the burger with bacon and croque monsieur, both of which were cooked perfectly. I ordered the burger medium and it came out right on temp. Coffee American and hot chocolate were piping hot and tasted great. The cafe is surrounded by at least 3 similar cafes but we picked this one because we saw lots of locals inside. The waitress spoke English well and was welcoming, efficient, but kind. It didn't disappoint!
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect first breakfast. Killer croissant mean double espresso great waiter. Staying around the corner. Will be be back often. Not touristy. Second breakfast even better. Soft boiled egg. Toast jam butter great coffee.

Yelp
Nice little cafe with great staff and great light (really). Eggs are great but coffee is Cafe Richard which is possibly the worst coffee in the world. Also there is a nice lack of car traffic.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great little cafe on the Ile Saint-Louis. The funny thing is that we didn't get a whole lot to eat when we were there, but the customer service was so over-the-top good that I have to give a glowing five-star review. We landed in Paris and our internal clocks were way off, so my wife and I ate earlier when we were hungry and a couple of hours later my daughter was hungry, so we stopped into this cool little open air cafe right on the corner, hoping that they would have something that my picky little daughter would eat. Unfortunately, they didn't. But our server was incredible in helping us piece together a meal that my daughter would eat from the ingredients on their menu. It ended up being a simple turkey and cheese sandwich on one of those incredible baguettes that they make on Ile Saint-Louis. It was large enough that my wife and I had a small portion as well. It was simple, but delicious ... exactly what my daughter wanted. And of course, my wife enjoyed a little Sancerre so we all took part! What we tasted was mind blowing, but it was what we wanted and it was off the menu. Any place that will do that for a customer deserves five stars and more.

Yelp
Very classy French decor, love the black and white theme... But decor is not what got us in the door. That was mostly the reviews here on Yelp. And I will never base a restaurant decisions on Yelp reviews ever again. Food was mediocre. Something I expected in Paris, but not something I wanted to believe. How disappointing. Unfortunately missed the breakfast menu, which I'm sure would have been better. My wife ordered the Steak and Egg (medium cook) and I got the Club Smoked Salmon SLT. Both came with fries, which I was looking forward to because...we were in France! My wife's burger was blue rare (by North American standards). We got it sent back and remedied no issue. We were told we should have ordered well-done. That's the French equivalent apparently. It was essentially a (perfectly cooked!) sunny side up egg sitting atop a hamburger patty. Really. As for the SLT, it was good, albeit messy with that third slice of bread in the middle. Thinking back, I don't remember there being any bacon in it. Isn't that what the word Club refers to? These two meals totaled €36. You draw your own conclusion. To sum it up, this was the first and only meal in Paris.

Yelp
Yelp 100 Challenge 2020 #16 My friends and I absolutely loved this restaurant. Every dish we got was fantastic and our server was great. We ordered: Escargot - it was amazing. Honestly the only escargot I've had in France, but it blew us away. The pesto just hit the spot. My friends who have had escargot at other restaurants also raves about it. Mushroom risotto - ummmmm what!! So freaking yummy. As a main dish, this is what I would get over and over again. Warm and cozy on a cold night. Caesar salad - the norm, still very good Salmon tartar - not what I would order, but my mom loved it! Creme brûlée - the norm I highly recommend this place if you're in Paris!

Yelp
Beautiful interior, great location. An incredible option after spending the day seeing the local sights. My favorite meal is eggs benedict and that is the plate I get at every breakfast restaurant in America. The eggs benedict here are hands down the best I have ever tasted. Have not found anything that compares. Totalement parfait!

Yelp
Right near notre dame this cute restaurant had an amazing Eggs Benedict honestly might have been the best hollandaise sauce I've had. It was served with salad and I'm not sure what the dressing that they use but it was good! They gave us French bread and service was great. Very cute little spot to have breakfast

Yelp
Amazing Best anywhere French Onion Soup Cous cous and shrimp wonderful Baguettes! But again get FOS farm caramel look rich flavor No chunks of onions

Yelp
This place is so great and upbeat that a fellow patron came up to me and asked if I had been a contestant on the bachelorette. The French onion soup and tartare were wonderful in this classic Parisian establishment. "Best on the island" for sure. Cocktail menu has some stellar liquors up for grabs too

Yelp
This is going to sound really random, but we actually heard of Café Saint-Régis from reading an interview with Tony Shalhoub, who recommended it as a restaurant he frequented when filming the second season of Mrs. Maisel in Paris. It was conveniently located next to a couple other stops we wanted to make, so why not. We got there around 6:00 pm, and the place was only a third full, but even still our waiter took forever to make it over to us. We got the St. Germain spritz as well as an Aperol one. The cocktails here are definitely the best part! They come out in massive wine goblets, are garnished generously, and vraiment hit the spot after jetlag and sightseeing; we both got another round (tried the mandarin as well, but not as good as the first two). For food, we all shared the house omelet and some fries since we weren't that hungry. The omelet had a kind of marinara/cheese combination going on, which was unique and it was cooked perfectly (duh, we're in Paris). Side salad and fries were OK. Service continued to be remarkably bad, but that's the way it goes. Even though we're giving this place three stars, we would recommend it to others, especially since the space itself is so pleasant to be in on a warm evening partly overlooking the Seine. If we had been there without our little and had all the time in the world, we might feel more affection for Saint-Régis, but we can only speak to our own experience.
google avatar

Yelp
A cross from Notre Dame this is a perfect spot for lunch. Be warned that you may have a bit of a wait. So if your in a rush this might not be the place to rush on into. The food is great, wonderful sandwiches and crepes. The service staff is way too fun. This is a busy place and I only counted three servers (one of them a host) on the floor. That being said they know how to work the room expertly. Each of them with a distinctive personality. Laughing and joking with each other as well as the guests. We waited 30-40 minutes for a table and they made it fee as though only a few minutes flew by. In a city that gets a bad rap for being rude just venture on in and enjoy the hospitality!
google avatar

Ried S.

Yelp
Came here for a late lunch on a beautiful day. Really friendly waiter and great service. Enjoyed the food a lot. We had the escargot and a croque madame. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
THIS...!!! IS...!!! PARIS...!!! A hip corner restaurant in a fun neighborhood where you can sit outside and people watch while devouring a 5 star meal. I highly recommend the chicken with arugula. My wife had the snails (first time for both of us) with bread and pesto. SUPER-COOL SPOT...I would return and hang out again and again. One of my favorite corners of Paris.

Donna M.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee! Probably the best of the trip. Mellow and rich. Wish I could get another cup! We had omelettes for breakfast. It's surprising how difficult it is to find a place for omelettes! Delicious and would definitely go again.

Yelp
Visit this place! Not only is the restaurant fantastic, but it's in a very cute, quaint corner of Paris. Close to Notre-Dame but away from the crowds of tourists. The food was delicious. We had a big group and tried multiple items on the menu, including the pasta bolognese, which was delicious. The fries were crisp and fresh. Most importantly, the service was friendly and unpretentious. Worth a visit.
