We tried almost all the food in the menu. They’re all pretty good. And the wines? Very good. We had an amazing time here and the staff is friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and wines. I can recommend.

The service here was great and the waiter recommended some really good wine based on our preferences. The food here is excellent as well. Definitely coming back here again.

Great tapas and good wine selection, including some natural wines. We ordered 5 or so tapas and dessert for 2 of us. I particularly enjoyed the chorizo. Good for a date night or a night out with friends.

Had a couple glasses of great wine here on a Thursday night. The employees definitely knew their stuff and were extremely nice. We will be back!

Best go to place to hang out with my friends. Food is fresh and great with that little touch of originality. Wines are wonderfully selected.

This is an excellent wine bar. The selection is great, and the staff is enthusiastic about it. Perfect for an aprero with friends, although the place is really cozy so not for *all* of your friends at the same time. Also a good place to go to with the missus on the way to dinner. Nice cheese and sliced meats on planks.

Yelp
Fantastic wine bar with some delectable cuisine as well. It is tied to L'Ebauchoir across the street and the bartender at Le Siffleur takes your order and then somehow prepares the food items himself with no help or little help. Wine suggestions have been on point although be prepared to speak some French as their English was non existent this time. Octopus starter was delicious- one of my favorite items on this trip to Paris! Simple ham and cheese sandwich with a salad was also lovely. The server was funny and friendly and I enjoyed hanging out and talking with him and his friend while he prepared a 2nd octopus dish for me to take back to my wife who was tired. Highly recommended!

Yelp
A group of 7 of us were wandering around town, struggling to find a proper restaurant that could seat us on Valentine's Day. The folks at Siffleur were kind enough to open up their private table in the basement. They have a very traditional menu and we ordered a wide assortment of small plates including cheese, chacurterie, potatoes, beans, pate. We also ordered every dessert they had available (least fav was the rice pudding). And of course, I need to mention the wine as Siffleur is a wine bar after all. The server would select one on our behalf based on the type/flavor we requested. Overall they were great, but let's just saw I'm not a fan of "earthy" wines (smells awful). Thanks to Siffleur for a lovely evening!

Yelp
Thank you Alex French Cooking Guy for this recommendation! We wanted to find a local restaurant that had good wine and tapas and this was a great choice. The restaurant is cozy - there are two rooms, which one of the rooms was filled with wine, mostly naturals. The staff is friendly and they were able to speak English so I could communicate easily with them. We ordered a bottle of pinot noir, octopus over squash, a potato dish, and greens. Food in France are well portioned - it's different than most of the states where they overfeed you - and everything is well cooked. The bar for standard dishes (eg potatoes) here are done much better than most restaurants in New York. The best part of the meal was the dessert - a rice pudding. Yes! A simple rice pudding was done better than any rice puddings I've had, and better than most desserts I've had in my life. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the servers as they were helpful. I'd suggest coming here if you're looking for a local, quality spot to eat.

Yelp
Adorable neighborhood wine bar in my favourite area, the 12th. Reasonably priced wines and mixed meat and cheese platters. Atmosphere is very local "quartier", just what I like. We went at 6, and we were the second table to arrive, by 6.30 the place was full, BUT it was a special wine evening in France so I'd have to go back to see how it is usually :) Best plus? Butter with your bread! If it was salted then that would be "le top du top!" *hint hint Wine was 4-6€ a glass if I remember correctly, and not wines that I would normally get elsewhere so it's great for trying new ones. It's a keeper!

Yelp
After having a delicious meal the chef tells us that he's standing in for the guy that didn't show up. Wait... even the waiters make delicious food! Open late with a balanced menu that includes carbs, vegetables, salads, etc.

Yelp
My friends and I shared a mixed charcuterie plate of meats and cheeses to start, followed by paninis. We tried both the Madrid and the Paris paninis, which were filling but not particularly special. The charcuterie was delicious however and the servers were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and found it to be the perfect place for a small gathering of friends.

Yelp
Adorable wine bar with friendly wait staff and extensive choice of wines. The hard part is choosing which wine to get. Their food also delivers on both flavor and quantity. Don't forget to use the 10% discount when you check in here.

Yelp
Le Siffleur de Ballons is so cute and cozy! Came here for dinner and had Le Romain, a sandwich loaded with grilled veggies and topped with melted cheese. A fresh green salad came on the side. The food is simple, but very good. My friend and I shared one bottle of the rosé wine, crisp and delicious. Service was friendly. I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
I am on a mission whenever I visit Paris - to find a new wine bar. I almost always go out by myself, so I like to find places that I'm comfortable at. The organic wine here was very different and unique. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the service of Olivier, Ludovic, and Jean Jacques - Sugar Eyes.

Yelp
This is currently my favorite wine bar in Paris. This has a lot to do with the incredibly kind service, the beautiful wine choices, the huge planches mixtes, and the terribly affordable prices. When I think of my perfect wine bar, I think of a bustling atmosphere, but I do not think of breaking the bank. I've consistently enjoyed my fill of tasty food, and drank my fill of excellent wine here-and always for less than 15 euros a person. I may be biased, because it also happens to be in a very convenient location for me, but I am a big, big fan & I'm currently looking for a reason to go back :)

Yelp
Excellent! Soirée géniale :) Note: they don't take reservations by phone. Luckily for my friend and I, early on a week night it doesn't matter. This place had a much more chill, friendly vibe than I would have hoped for at a wine bar. And the inexpensive Sauvignon Blanc was to die for. Yummy bread, cheese, charcuterie...would definitely recommend the lentil salad! We shared the mixed plate (meat and cheese) and lentil salad for €30 all together. Pas mal du tout!

Yelp
Simple but great food with a fantastic wine selection, and at prices that are a bargain by any standards in Paris. Hinting at southern french cuisine, with plates of sliced meats and cheeses, all great, and staff who are happy to help you work through a selection of the right wines (and who are also happy to speak English as like me, you reach the limits of your French quite quickly!) Arrive early, by 8 in the evening as you can't book in advance.

Yelp
Amazing cheap glasses of wine and meat and cheese boards. I wish this place was in Brooklyn. We would be regulars for sure!

Yelp
We loved this wine bar. We had had a big, early lunch at at a fine, newly popular restaurant (you know the type, featured in Bon Appetit and NY Times articles. But it really was good) and wanted something light at about 8:30. We stumbled on this place and it was one of the highlights of our 3 days in Paris. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. We sat on stools at the bar. We shared a charcuterie plate and we each ordered a salad. The staff were happy to talk to us about wine selections, and they offer some unique choices - appellations I did not know but which were fun and well matched with the food. Prices are really reasonable, especially for Paris. We were made to feel very welcome - no pomp or fussiness. We spoke both English and French with the bartender. What a great find. The evening turned out to be one of those really nice, unplanned experiences that make travel memorable. We can't wait to go back.
