Had an amazing experience here-- Food was top-notch and service was great too. All staffs there were very welcoming and friendly. Their desserts (Crumble and Tiramisu) are also to die for. Went back several times during our stay there because it was so good! Highly recommend.

Came here to eat a dessert and was not disappointed. Generous sizes and good quality food with local ingredients. They have organic wines and the prices are OK

In every town and city there are hidden gems that the traveler sometimes doesn't get to experience. This is one such place and we got lucky. Away from the water, near the old market and close to some very good bars, Le Soleil is fabulous. Simple, clever cooking. Tremendous hospitality... and very affordable. It's cash only and you have to book but this place alone is worth visiting La Rochelle for. Superb.

Great food and cosy atmosphere, very reasonable prices. We managed to get a table walking-in but the restaurant soon packed with regulars who had booked in advance. Simple menu and delicious, we both went with the plat du jour. Tiramasu for dessert recommended too!

Dish of the day is never disappointing. Few desert choices but very reliable ones. Organic food; much appreciated 😊
